NOTE: Please do NOT use the stone "steps" on the side of the house for basement level access. These are placed for landscape needs to retain soil and limit errosion and are not intended as a walkway, as they are quite steep and could be a slipping hazard.

Kudzu Cabin, your home away from home, awaits you with its rustic lodge-style furnishings and over 300 feet of lakefront access (no lake view from house) with a private double-decker boat dock boasting spectacular lake and mountain views, where you can park your own boat/jet-ski or rentals, swim, kayak, sun on the upper deck, or just sit back and relax with a glass of wine at sunset.

You’ll have plenty of room for family and friends to join you in this beautifully appointed and spacious cabin, with 5 BR (including 2 king master suites), 5 full baths & 2 half baths, that sleeps up to 10 in beds (limit based on Union County Short-Term Rental code), just minutes from Blairsville and charming Blue Ridge.

We offer a FAMILY and/or BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL setting, so no big parties are allowed. Per Union County Ordinance, as outlined by Sec 48-04, amplified sound that disturbs or causes a nuisance to neighboring properties is not allowed. If we are notified of a violation of this ordinance by renters, the assessed fee will be deducted from the security deposit.

BEDROOMS

LOFT/UPSTAIRS:
Loft/master bedroom - king bed, full bathroom with double vanity sinks, shower/tub combo.

Loft living room opens to the main level downstairs and has a half bath.

MAIN/ENTRANCE LEVEL:
Main/master bedroom - king bed, double vanity, shower/tub combo

BASEMENT LEVEL:
Basement bedroom #1 - queen bed, private bath with shower

Basement bedroom #2 - 2 bunk bed sets - twins on top, one twin and one full on bottom, private bath with shower. (Twin bunks are best for children or very small adults)

Basement bedroom #3 - queen bed with double vanity sinks and shower with bedroom access and basement living area access.

LIVING/DINING AREAS

MAIN/ENTRANCE LEVEL:
The main level features cozy seating in the sunroom, a two-sided, floor-to-ceiling fireplace, peeking into an open living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, and powder room.

The dining room seats 8, plus 4 bar stools at the kitchen island. In the living room, you'll find a smart TV with access to YouTube TV for free programming, or login to your own streaming accounts, plus a DVD player and small DVD library. Purchases through owner apps are not allowed and anything charged will be deducted from the damage deposit. Off the living room is the main/master bedroom as described above.

Main level wrap around deck hosts a barn-wood table (seats 8-10), a pub style table (seats 5), along with plenty of rocking and other chairs to crowd around a gorgeous outdoor fireplace. Relax in the hammock or enjoy a rousing round of corn-hole. You’ll also find both a gas grill and a charcoal BBQ pit on the main level deck.

LOFT/UPSTAIRS:
Upstairs includes a loft level master bedroom, as described above, and is connected to the loft living area, as described above.

BASEMENT LEVEL:
The basement level has a comfy living area, table for games, as well as a shelf stocked with games, playing cards, and books, and a flat screen TV with VCR and video library, and streaming available via a ROKU device with access to YouTube TV for free programming, or login to your own streaming accounts. Purchases through owner apps are not allowed and anything charged will be deducted from the damage deposit. (Note that the gas log/two-sided fireplace is not currently working.)

The three bedrooms surround the basement living area and are as described above.

The laundry room is located in the basement with a full-size washer/dryer and an iron and ironing board. Bed linens are provided for each bed and bathrooms are all stocked with plenty of towels and a hair dryer. We also have several beach towels and rags in the basement laundry room for use on the dock, or to clean up a mess. (Please don't stain our white towels!)

For your convenience, we provide a vacuum, brooms, and a mop.

BASEMENT LEVEL PATIO:
The patio on the lower level has tables and chairs for gathering and enjoying a closer look at the outdoors.

PETS are NOT allowed. Anyone found to bring a pet will lose their damage deposit.

OTHER AMENITIES:
When you're not enjoying the sun from the boat dock, making use of boat rentals (see notes below about Nottely Boat Club), or hiking around the area, you'll find plenty of other things to do at Kudzu Cabin. We have kayaks and several life vests, hula-hoops, a corn hole game, bocce ball set, and horse shoes, as well as plenty of books, games, poker set, cards, and videos for the kids to watch. And of course, the nearby towns of Blairsville, Blue Ridge, and Murphy, NC have entertainment events, art shows, and other attractions, year-round.

BOAT RENTALS:
If you’re looking for a boat to rent, the closest is Nottely Boat Club & Marina, less than 10 minutes from the cabin by car. Find our website at CoolestPlaceInGeorgia. You'll find live entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings throughout the peak season.

LAKE NOTTELY WATER LEVEL:
Check expected lake water levels for your trip by visiting https://www.tva.com/environment/lake-levels, select Nottely. Lake Nottely is TVA controlled, with water levels at full pool during peak season - gradually increasing up through Memorial Day (typically much earlier than that) and gradually decreasing after Labor Day. Any drought or rainy conditions in North Georgia can also have an impact on lake water levels. Note that our boat dock is in deep water and in the past, we have not had issues getting boats in and out during peak season and often have good access well before and after peak season.
