About the host
Hosted by Dave and Kathy Edwards
Hi, we are Kathy and Dave Edwards. We moved to south west France in 2016 having bought an old house in the Parc Naturel Limousin Perigord, on the border of Haute Vienne/Dordogne. It came with acres of woodland and two separate cottages with adjoining barns. So, we decided that we would renovate one of the cottages and its barn and turn them into a Gite which other people could rent and enjoy for a week or more to experience the relaxed lifestyle of rural France in our peaceful corner of this lovely country. We have done all the building work inside ourselves, it has been quite a challenge but the reward of seeing the beautiful property it has become are immense. The renovation is sympathetic and to a high standard. Our time here has been quite a journey for us, faced with a new country, a new language, a different pace of life, not to mention getting used to driving on the right-hand side of the road. We are blessed in that we have lovely neighbours who have helped us and we have made some wonderful friends. We look forward to welcoming you to our gite very soon.
