There was plenty of room in the home for our family. The home is centrally located to everything we wanted to do while in town. The communication from the host was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.
Well stocked kitchen, toiletries, movies, laundry facilities, games, and wifi. It was very close to the beach, stores, museums, and restaurants. You could have a quiet retreat, explore the historical sites, or any variation you choose here! We had a lovely time!
Located in prime location, close to everything, Host is excellent and worries about keeping guest comfortable and happy. This place offered all the creature comforts of home. Beds are comfortable, loved sitting on back patio after a long day at beach. Most definitely expect to return in the future!
We enjoyed our stay and the property was excellent. Communication with the host was the absolute best. I would definitely stay again if i'm in the Galveston area.
Everything went very smoothly. Great communication and no problems with check in or check out. Everyone loved how close it was to the beach. Easy walking distance. House was very charming. Highly recommended.
We had a great stay at this amazing property! It’s even better than the pictures. It has everything you need to enjoy your time in Galveston but you might want to just relax at the house. It was perfect for our family group of 8. The kitchen is amazing, all the amenities are well thought out and communication with Judy was seamless. Judy was also flexible and worked with me when I wasn’t as organized as I should have been. Would love to go back sometime and highly recommend.
Everting was really good definitely we will come back on the future And the Hostess is really nice and kind all the times . I give her A 100 .

Thank you for your understanding with the road construction - thankfully nearly complete now, and thanks also for your kind review - 100% is as good as it gets!
Hope you visit us again next time you come to Galveston
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, spacious and cozy home. Everything was clean, it had all the necessities and more. AC worked great in this heat. Short walk to the beach and some good restaurants. Kroger supermarket close by. Nice neighbor Lupe who was so nice and patient taking a picture of the family who visited us. We certainly can refer this home for a wonderful stay.
First of all Judy Locke very accommodating & helpful. The house was very beautiful & tastefully decorated. When we walked in the house it was very clean, warm & inviting. I will definitely rent it again!

Great family environment and great host
All the assessor cannot compare to the price of the rental. It was very comfortable and relaxing. Everything was within reach grocery store, beach , downtown , restaurants great little circle. Very clean and refreshing, was able to wash and dry my kids clothes before I put them to bed. The agenda book for the house is full of adventures that I didn't get to get to complete because I didn't book enough days. I will be back with my family.

Charles and his group were good guests-respectful and helpful . They will be welcome to visit again.
This charming 1940's brick house in Galveston, was like coming home. Comfortable. Cozy. It is well-equipped with anything and everything you could possibly want or need.
There were cozy throws for the winter, and plenty of blankets and pillows galore to choose from to get the perfect one for a good night's sleep. The kitchen is great if you decide you want to cook rather than walk to the myriad restaurants close by. Even better, this home is a short walk to the seawall - that was a bigger bonus than I first realized.
I loved this little house. The location. The funky in-transition neighborhood (as is all Galveston which gives it its charm) and the ability to walk just about anywhere you want--other than downtown. And the owner was a dream to work with.
We stayed here for two months during the winter and it was a wonderful, comfortable warm place to stay. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
Great location and access to the Galveston area. The home was clean and easy to use.
Judy was great communicating with us and there wasn’t any surprises. The home was what we expected and we really enjoyed it. We would stay there again!
We enjoyed our stay at this home. It was so warm and inviting. Everything we needed was available at the house. Beds are comfortable and it was nice and quite. We didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back and hopefully stay there again soon. Thanks Judy!
Judy was amazing from the time we booked.. she sent info on where to find stores and other things that interested us.. she made sure we got checked in safely and when the door lock gave us trouble, she was on the phone with us giving us help.. she made sure we could be at peace knowing our things were safely locked in the house when we were away and she was available every minute if we needed anything...the house was amazing and we felt at home the moment we arrived!! She has been an all around amazing host and we will be back with her again soon!! Thank you Judy for the wonderful home and the amazing memories made!!!!
I really loved my getaway. There were just a couple things I wish were different: the location was close to beach but far if you're traveling alone and carrying/walking by yourself. Very victorian and a tad darker than i like but overall the experience was delightful and comfy. Enjoyed Judy's place and she went above and beyond making it great for me. :) I'd likely rebook another place that's smaller and closer to beach as I spent 1k for 4 days alone. Little pricier than preferred. Loved the home and ambiance however.
The entire stay was wonderful. Judy checked in periodically to make sure everything was going ok. The property was clean and very well taken care of.

About the host
Hosted by Judy Locke
Im a Nurse living in Massachusetts and while visiting my son and his family last year, fell in love with the 1940s brick homes on Galveston Island. We eventually decided to by one last fall.
Why they chose this property
The home is spacious and comfortable and close to everything in Galveston that people come to enjoy. The islanders are friendly, helpful, and generous to visitors. There's something to do for everyone from peaceful and relaxing to fun and adventurous.
What makes this property unique
I like the brick 40s style of the home and the cool breezes on the arched front porch. There's cool shelter on the front porch and afternoon sun on the back porch/deck
