Stylish yet traditional French barn conversion, set in a beautifully quiet and rural area of the Loire. We loved everything about it, from the mezzanine bedroom to the modern entertainment systems, the quirky oddities, to the French history, the pool area to the peacocks!Patrick the owner was quick to respond and a pleasure to deal with, Brigitte and Jean-Franço were welcoming and so very helpful as hosts. Nothing was a problem. Sitting in the pool under the clearest of starry skies was magical, the endless chateau’s to explore are a delight. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a very comfortable accommodation, with plenty of amenities within 20 minutes drive (supermarkets, towns, restaurants) then I highly recommend this holiday home.

Beautiful Barn Conversion

We were most impressed with the quality of this property which was clearly built by someone with an eye for design. We stayed in the area for a week and visited many of the nearby chateau. A week is never long enough in this beautiful and unspoilt part of France.

Quirky apartment for a short stay

The property has been renovated to a very high standard and the TV and Sound system is excellent. We were staying for a week as a base for house hunting so were out and about a fair bit and was perfect for what we needed. Our only two slight disappointments were the lack of an oven (bar a microwave) and whilst the main house was occupied, and had the use of the pool, it was difficult to find a decent place to sit outside in the evening. However as a short stay Gite it was excellent.

What a Fantastic Place!

We spent four nights in this absolutely fabulous property - we were reluctant to leave! Contact with the owner, Patrick was excellent. He forwarded details of the area and what was available, together with recommendations for all types of restaurants in the area. This was extremely helpful. Jean -Francois and Brigitte gave is a very warm welcome and showed us around. They called during our stay to make sure all was well. The property was extremely clean, very well fitted out and it was an absolute joy to stay here. We would highly recommend it and certainly look forward to a return visit.

Great getaway in the French country-side

Fabulous 1-bedroom place. The remodel work is top-notch. Communication with Patrick (owner) was great. He provided a document full of off-the-beaten-path activities. Brigitte, the local manager, was very helpful at check-in and check-out. Large doors in the living room really open up the place in the evening. Glass railing and colored LED lights are hints at the high-tech feel of the place. The location is great as you are quick driving distance to area attractions or you can stay home and read a book.

Tolle Lage mit sehr gut ausgestatteter Wohnung

Die Wohnung hat sich hervorragend für unseren Aufenthalt zu zweit geeignet. Sie verfügt über viel Platz und schöne Außenanlagen sowie eine absolut ruhige Umgebung. Der Kontakt zu den Ansprechpartnern (Brigitte und Jean-Francois) war herzlich und zuvorkommend. Klare Empfehlung!

Oasis de tranquillité

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à la propriété. Tout était propre et bien équipé pour un court séjour. Étant les seuls sur place (aucun locataire à l’autre gite durant notre séjour), nous avons également pu profiter de l’espace extérieur. Les hôtes sont venus nous accueillir et récupérer les clés en personne et ont pris le temps de bien tout nous expliquer. Nous recommandons sans hésiter!

Gerne wieder

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche verlebt. Die frühere Scheune ist mit ist mit viel Liebe fürs Detail und für Qualität umgebaut worden, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Der Empfang und der Kontakt vor Ort waren sehr freundlich. Wir bedanken uns für eine entspannte Zeit. Weiter so 👍

The property was excellent and well kitted out, in a beautiful area and within easy reach of the Loire Valley. Jean-Francois was excellent and made us very welcome. We would certainly stay again. If there was one slight criticism the working area in the kitchen and the kitchen/ living room table at which you eat are both too small.

Gite rénové avec goût, emplacement calme et pratique

Très belle propriété, dans un cadre bucolique très appréciable. Brigitte et Philippe nous ont reçu avec beaucoup de gentillesse et sympathie, nous donnant des informations pratiques très utiles. Nous mettons un bémol sur la présentation du gîte selon Abritel car il n'est pas fait mention que 2 propriétés se font face et qu'il n'y a pas d'intimité lorsque les deux gîtes sont loués au même moment. C'est un point de vigilance à prendre en compte pour une éventuelle prochaine location.

Erholung mitten in der Natur

Die "Menagerie" liegt ca. 4 km vom nächsten Ort mit Bäckerei und Restaurant sehr idyllisch am Waldrand. Neben der mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgebauten Scheune gibt es noch das Haupthaus mit Pool und ein kleines Nebengebäude. Wir haben besonders die Ruhe und die tolle Austattung der Unterkunft genossen. Das einzige was wir ein wenig vermißt haben, ist ein Kleiderschrank.

La perfection comme on l'aime!

Voici un lieu entre le ciel et la campagne. L'endroit est à la fois perdu dans la région de la Loire et proche de merveilleux petits villages qui font la renommée de cette vallée. L'accueil est très professionnel tout comme l'est cette délicieuse grange merveilleusement restaurée et très propre. Aménagée avec goût et les meilleurs matériaux, Patrick a choisi d'offrir l'excellence. Ça va du petit détail (la qualité du papier toilette, non je ne rigole pas c'est sérieux) aux ustensiles de cuisine, aux choses les plus chaleureuses comme la majestueuse cheminée et ses buches de chêne parfaitement coupées et séchées. Tout est pensé pour que votre séjour soit angélique et en musique avec un système sonore topissime qui n'attend que votre playlist. Alors si on me demande si je recommanderais ce lieu, absolument pour tout vous dire je n'ai qu'une hâte c'est d'y retourner 😉

Un lieu idéal pour un séjour en amoureux...

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, malheureusement trop court. Lieu idéal pour un couple. Très confort, excellemment équipé, décoré avec goût, d’une propreté irréprochable. Il est vrai que l’accueil est parfaitement chaleureux. On s’y sent à l’aise tout de suite. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la cheminée, le système audio et le grand écran plat. Nous avons hâte de revenir.

Ma-gni-fi-que

Le couple qui nous accueille est charmant, l’endroit est superbe et isolé, la décoration est de très bon gout, c’est vrai un coin de paradis. Et cerise sur le gateau le soleil etait au rdv. Je n’ai qu’une envie c’est d’y retourner !
