Frequently asked questions
About the host
Hosted by Sandra Peterson
Our Dad built this cabin when he was 19 years old. It has been our family retreat since childhood. We love walking in the woods, riding horseback, building pine bough teepees, swimming in mountain streams, hiking the White Mountains, playing tennis and enjoying the natural beauty.
Why they chose this property
Enjoy the fresh clean air, the purest well water, the scent of pine forests, reconnect with the beauty of nature by hiking in the woods, swimming in fresh water pond, and listening to the sounds of birds and frogs.
What makes this property unique
In the early 20th century, my great aunt ran the cabin as a ski lodge for folks who took the train from Boston, and loved roughing it by cross-country skiing, staying warm around the fireplace, cooking over a wood stove. Over the years, though amenities have been added, it still has the ambiance of an authentic log cabin.
