The locations was perfect. We had access to bars and restaurants as well as easy access to Ubers. Walking down to all the sites was easy but saving your legs from the hills was a nice bonus. The loft had the perfect setup for two couples traveling together but allowed for your own space as well. We really enjoyed everything about our stay. Leonardo made check in easy, provided great recommendations and was available for any questions we had. In fact he reached out and let us know we could check in a few hours early because the property was ready. I have never had that happen before. We took advantage and it gave us a few extra hours to explore Lisbon without all our luggage. We were also happily surprised to find the area so LGBTQ friendly. Highly recommend if you want a gorgeous, spacious loft by European standards in an accessible location to explore Lisbon.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful and thoughtful review! We’re delighted that you enjoyed the loft and had such a great time exploring Lisbon. You highlighted something we particularly love about the apartment: it works really well for two couples travelling together. There’s plenty of space to enjoy the trip together, while the separate bedrooms and bathrooms still give everyone their own privacy. And the location really does make exploring Lisbon easy. With restaurants and bars just outside, so much of the historic centre within walking distance, and Ubers readily accessible when Lisbon’s famous hills have given your legs enough exercise for the day, you can choose how adventurous you want to be! 😊 We’re especially happy that Leonardo helped make your arrival and stay so easy. Whenever the apartment is ready earlier, we’re always pleased to offer an early check-in if we can. Knowing that those extra few hours allowed you to leave your luggage behind and start enjoying Lisbon straight away makes us very happy. Thank you as well for your lovely comments about the neighbourhood and for recommending us so highly. It was a pleasure having you, and Leonardo and I would be delighted to welcome you back on a future trip to Lisbon!

This place could not have been more perfect for our two couples. It was roomy and with 2 primary suites we had our own private space with a main living area to enjoy each others company. We would stay here again in a heartbeat should we come to Lisbon again!

4 night visit

Nice location, looks like pictures, little noise in front rooms at night but bedrooms quiet. Well appointed but could use a small microwave, and the shower temps take some patience to adjust. Lots of great restaurants in the area and convenient to Praca Camoes. I would stay again.

Perfect location to explore Lisbon

This was the perfect location to explore Lisbon. Leo made our check in a breeze and was an absolute gem in making recommendations and checking in to see if there was anything that was needed during our trip. We were within walking distance of anything we needed. As noted in other reviews there are stairs to navigate. We didn’t mind because it helped burn some of the many calories we were consuming!

He truly is a gem and loves sharing his favorite recommendations and making sure every guest has everything they need! It is fantastic to hear that you could walk to everything you needed — that is exactly what makes this spot so special. And we love your attitude about the stairs — what better way to earn those extra pastéis de nata! It was a true pleasure hosting you, and we would love to welcome you back to Lisbon anytime!

Great location in Lisbon

Beautiful apartment in a neighborhood close to a famous bakery of the Portuguese specialty, Pastel de Nata, and other good restaurants. Thoughtful hosts have stocked the apartment with full compliment of kitchen needs and coffee pods, tea, sugar and a bottle of wine. Appreciated that the host representative met us at the site and gave us a hand with getting our bags up to the fourth floor.

An amazing apartment!

This was one of our very favorite European VRBO experiences. The neighborhood was delightful - full of nightlife and activity. But our bedrooms were totally silent. We loved having air conditioning. It was a heat wave while we were in town. And we enjoyed the layout of the apartment - lots of privacy and a nice pullout couch for our 14 year old. Our hosts were also kind and accommodating. I really can’t say nice enough things about them and the whole stay!

Amazing stay!

Jorge’s apartment was amazing. His brother, João, was so friendly and helpful. He was able to greet us and hold our luggage until we could check in. He gave us a very thoughtful welcome gift and great recommendations. I took the car suite and my brother took the dog suite. Was very comfortable with lots of character, yet clean and modern. The ac worked great. Couldn’t beat the location. Waking distance to everything and party right outside our door, yet quiet when windows are closed. Can’t wait to return!

Hello, I am Jorge, a Dutch-Portuguese designer from the glorious year of '79, based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

I am curious by profession and I am passionate about creating new and beautiful things. That led me to globetrot for a few years, as a student and later as a young designer. I love travelling and meeting new people and other cultures, and applying all that I learn to the things I make and design.

We are most of the time in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Sometimes, in Lisbon, where I was born, and the place I always come back to recharge batteries.

Why they chose this property

The strong points of this apartment:
- location: in the heart of the vibrant Bairro Alto district
- very spacious: the apartment has a total of 120 m2, with 2 large suites
- interior design: the aesthetics of the apartment are very sharp
- quiet: the apartment is completely soundproof to make sure the neighbourhood's vibrancy does not interfere with good quality sleep.
