Two bedroom cabin located in the Upper Peninsula of Mich. with the ability to sleep up to 8 guests. Located on the best lot on the lake with over 800 feet of frontage. Coming 2022 a Water trampoline with slide for adults or of course kids. Conveniently located near a 9 hole golf course , ATV, and trails. Features include satellite TV, Enjoy life on the water and great fishing along with a relaxing campfire to end your day!!! Bring the whole family or friends to enjoy this quite cabin on the lake.
Coming 2022, Water Trampoline, Pontoon boat, fishing boat, kayak, have all these water sports all included. We no longer have paddle boat, due to the damage from last year.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Beautiful view!

We had a great time! Pontoon rides every day. Kids taking out the trampoline on the water. We also did some sight seeing. Hosts had great recommendations on places to eat, shop, and visit!

Just what we needed

From the time we got there we had an absolute blast! No need to leave unless you need a store run! This was just what our family needed! The kids did not say they were bored once. Highly recommend owners were great!

The place to stay for fishing and water toys!

Cozy cabin in a great location. Pontoon and fishing boat were easy to operate. Kids loved the water trampoline. Great Lake for bobber fishing. Beds were comfortable. Host provided a “things to do” list with really good suggestions. Great stay!

This lil cabin is exactly as described.. cute and homey- fully stocked kitchen.. microwave, pots pans, etc.. right down to the spices.. beautiful sunsets. cute lil lake.. very quiet and peaceful. Pontoon boat was an extra bonus!! Gary was very friendly and accommodating!

Peaceful and relaxing

We had a great time reconnecting with friends and your rental was the perfect place to do that. Beautiful sunsets. Calls from the loons on the lake and a couple nights, the howling of wolves passing by. It was a bonus to have the pontoon boat and paddle boat available to us.

AMAZING FAMILY VACATION!

Our family of 7 just got back from our vacation in the UP. From the moment we booked the cabin to the time we checked out Gary was avsolutely wonderful to work with! The view from the cabin is absolutely breath taking. We had myself, my husband and our 5 kids (2, 6, 12, 13 and 14). The kids had a blast on the boats, swimming in the lake and fishing. It was a very memorable trip and we are forever grateful we ran across this property!

Great cabin and location with amazing scenery!!!

If you are looking for a place to be "away from it all" this is the place for you!!! It was so BEAUTIFUL and RELAXING for all of us. The cabin is very nice and cozy and there is a private beach! The whole family enjoyed fishing and swimming. The property was amazing and the area very nice to take long walks and/or early morning runs. I took so many pictures of the lake/sunsets because they were all so very beautiful. Gary was very nice to work with and responded in a timely manner to all of my messages prior to and during our stay. It was an OUTSTANDING vacation and given the opportunity we will be back!!!

Private Family Friendly Cabin

Cute cabin with everything you need. Kitchen was well stocked for making meals. They had a good variety of spices too! Beds were comfortable. Property is super private with GREAT views of the lake from 3 sides of the cabin. Having the Pontoon boat, fishing boat, paddle boat, kayak, water trampoline and private sand beach equals fun times for everyone. This cabin definitely has the best spot on the lake to enjoy the sunset too. When traveling back up to the UP, we would definitely stay here again. We will encourage our WI friends to stay here as well when they are in the UP.

Private rustic cabin on the lake

We were looking for a private cabin on a lake and this turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. We had a great time taking the pontoon out and the kids were jumping into the lake. Sat around the bonfire at night watching the sunset over the lake which was beautiful. Daughter took the water trampoline out but it was a windy day so it kept blowing back in but she had fun with it. The cabin itself was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Communication with Gary was good and instructions on opening and closing the cabin were clear. Would definitely come back for another stay.

Cabin on the lake

The location is beauty. Boats both run nicely and were a major bonus. The cabin is a bit small for the 8 people it is listed to hold. Photos show what appears as 2 different bunk beds but it really only one set. Bugs were worse than expected would recommend plenty of spray. No washer and dryer so pack extra amounts of clothes. Nearest laundromat about 35 minutes.

A little disappointed

Beautiful location on a nice lake, but the house was in pretty rough shape. Lots of maintenance issues and the house was not very clean when we arrived. Just expected more for the price.

Cabin views were amazing. Check in was easy and straight forward. Only issues were a couple outlets did not work (not a big issue for us, we were advised of such and that it was already being looked at). We did notice the toilet likes to run, but we expect little things like that in a cabin. There was plenty for the kids to do at the cabin and nearby. The bugs werent terrible at all, and the fishing was decent right off the dock. We only used the pontoon a couple times, which was relatively easy if you have ever used a boat. We didnt venture out in jon boat, mostly due to weather and having to keep getting water out it due to rain...michigan weather didnt want to cooperate for that but we made due. We had a fair amount of rain throughout the week and the area outside was a bit soggy, but thats the nature of the game when your up north sometimes. The cabin had a fresh coat of paint, was clean, had a nice kitchen full of utensils, and everything inside seemed to be in fair order. Great wildlife including loons, hearing wolves howl, a friendly turtle, and a variety of fish. Host was friendly and answered questions prior to arrival. We even caught the northern lights one night. Overall a really great experience for the whole family.

The Best Relaxing and Peaceful Place Ever!

This vacation was one of the most peaceful, relaxing vacations our family has had in a long time! The cabin was nothing fancy, but had everything we needed to be comfortable and then some. The queen bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in on vacation ever! I have had three back surgeries and I had no issues getting to sleep. We were not aware that you needed to book through Vrbo 24 hours in advanced. The owner was willing to work with us so that we could get the dates that we needed to get away. The boats were a big hit with our whole family! They were older boats, but we had no issues with them. The owner provided us with great videos on how to use them. We ran out of gas on the pontoon boat during our stay but the owner was well prepared with gas ready and waiting in the garage. If we ever head north again, this will definitely be our "go to" location!! Thanks Gary for sharing your cabin with us!

UP Getaway

The property was great, very private and pretty view of the lake from inside and out. Good in between spot for day trips to Porcupine Mountains and the Keewenaw peninsula. Cottage was just what we needed, nothing fancy but was well stocked and bonus points for good water pressure in the shower!

Breathtaking lake views

Beautiful location with lots of privacy. We drove into Houghton to do some shopping during the day and then cooked on the grill and had campfires in the evening. Weather was very decent in the upper 60s or early 70s for most of our weekly trip. My husband was very excited about the boats but the pontoon boat had wires dangling down so he didn’t want to touch it and the trolling motor on the little fishing boat only had a half of a propeller on it. We did still take it out though and used the oars. Caught lots of largemouth bass and just had an overall nice time relaxing and spending quality time together. A few things I would recommend adding are some kitchen items. The stove/oven is quite small so a crockpot would definitely come in handy. Would definitely rent again in the future.

Can not beat the location, stunning views, quiet and serene. Easy to find and perfect location to area attractions. Pontoon was the perfect addition along with bean bag toss for the kids. The space is cozy, dated yet charming. Our experience here was great.

Rustic cabin in a great location

The cabin is a simple, old-school kind of lake cabin with a great location. The lot is large, with water on 3 sides, a great view across the quiet lake, and a very quiet location on the lake. There is a dock for the pontoon boat plus the other water craft, which we used and had lots of fun with. AS others have noted, the cabin is older, and I'm aware that it's in the process of being remodeled. So for example, the master bedroom is fine but the bath and second bedroom could stand upgrading now. The kitchen is well stocked, and the living area is comfortable, as is the porch facing the lake. We loved the old style metal kitchen cabinets and dining table - quite homey. The cabin was mostly clean on arrival, but it looked like they had missed cleaning the bathroom floor - there was dirt behind he door, and a personal clothing item on the floor by the tub left by the previous renter. I didn't call the owner, because it was easier to just deal with it myself, but it left a poor impression. Gary was great about communicating information about the area, check-in, and how to start the pontoon boat. He was also quite responsive when we had problems starting the boat after our arrival. In addition to the problems with the boat motor, the Dish TV was all disconnected. I was able to get it going, but it seems like something a renter shouldn't have to do on arrival. Also, the heater in the lakeside porch didn't work (pilot out) and since we only needed it one night, we just shut the internal doors to keep the cold out, but again this feels like something a renter shouldn't have to deal with on arrival. I would recommend the cabin for its location and lake recreation activities, with the understanding that you not expect super high end finishes and amenities inside.

You have total privacy, the cabin has your own private beach area. It's so beautiful when you wake up in the morning. At night to relax by the fire and see the sun go down on the lake is breath taking. Bring your ATV and hit the trails, it's awesome.
