Extraordinary. A georgious place for an extended, calm, pleasant stay with kids in Tuscany,

We have visited Tuscany with our kids multiple times and always had nice Agritourismo appartments but this one was special.Walking distance to a small village with shop and supermarket, close to tourist attractions like Val d'Orcia, Montalcino, Montepulcano and others. Vivo d'Orcia is cooler than the surrounding Tuscany because it is higher and closer to the woods. This gives the stay a nice climate. The stone houses stay cool. The saltwater pool was pleasant and always clean. Everything was so stylish and classy. There is no single shabby or cheap piece in the house. We loved it. The Cervini family (noble decendants of a pope) spend their summer there and are working in the gardens and caring personally about the gardens and everthing.

Peace and quiet in the gorgeous contryside

This is the place for people who love peace and quiet in gorgeous scenery and having most of Tuscany and Umbria within a couple of hour's drive away.

Très bien

La maison et le jardin était parfaitement équipés et conforme á ce que nous attendions. La personne qui nous a accueilli était adorable. Nous avons eu l'occasion d'acheter du vin de la propriété le dernier jour et c'était parfait. Je recommande vivement de prendre l'option "diner" le soir d'arrivée car c'est vraiment délicieux et agréable de ne pas courir faire les courses en arrivant. Nous avons visité des restaurants dans les entourages qui étaient très bon. Les indications transmises en amont de la réservation étaient très bien.

Lovely

We got back from a week in Tuscany yesterday. We stayed in this lovely cottage and could not have been happier. We found the property without any problem, and were welcomed with great warmth. The owners had prepared a cake, and put some flowers in the living room. The fire was crackling. What bliss after a long trip. We spent the week discovering the region which has much to show and in the evenings went to local trattorias. I am quite certain that we will be back.

Wir waren hier sehr glücklich

Mit etwas Verspätung möchten wir uns nochmal für die tolle Organisation bedanken. Ganz außerordentlich beeindruckt aber waren wir von der Location selbst: die Casa di Pietro in Vivo d'Orcia war uns ein bezauberndes Heim in unserer Zeitreise in die Renaissance... und der Garten von Jonathan Radford ist ein einziger Traum! Daria war eine perfekte und sehr warmherzige Gastgeberin und Achilles hat uns in seiner goßen Freundlichkeit mit vielen Tipps und ausgesprochen schmackhaften Pilzen versorgt. Wir waren hier sehr glücklich und kommen mit Sicherheit im nächsten Jahr wieder.

Everything we had hoped for and more

After sightseeing in the bustling cities of Venezia, Milano, Ferrara, and Firenze, we were eager to arrive in Vivo d'Orcia, our oasis, where we could take in the lucious sights, smells, tastes, and sounds of the Tuscan countryside. "Eremo", the hermitage, was everything we had hoped for and more! As promised when we called to confirm our arrival, Jonathan was here to welcome us and show us Casa di Petro; Vincent, the French dog, and Tobias, the black cat, joined in the welcome party, all maing us feel instantly at home and certain that ti was where we needed to be in our journey. We cooked a simple but elegant meal of pasta con funghi, insalata, and vino (of course!) and finished with a small bit of chocolate and fresh "melone" before retiring; having the best night's sleep of our trip, waking up to the early Tuscan sunlight and the singing of birds, we were off to Siena for the day. We have treasured every day of adventures and the joy of returning to our haven. Our garden, so obviously tended with care, has been a particular pleasure for our meals, "al fresco", and to come out and just be... Grazie, grazie mille for every detail! This place will always be a happy memory for us in our Italian experience! Post Note: The beds were heavenly, by the way! The Casa had a very nicely prepared book on recommended sights and restaurants in the area.

Entirely Charming and Peaceful

We enjoyed a lovely week at Casa di Pietro; it was just the quiet, rural experience that we sought. Booking information was prompt and helpful. The casa was very charming, and the outdoor space was exceptional. The beds were comfortable and the linens of very good quality. Plenty of hot water for everyone in the morning. There were a few restaurants within a reasonable walking distance; we enjoyed cooking in the well appointed kitchen.
