Clean & Affordable Beach Condo - Just Steps from the Sand!

20 yards out the back door and you are on the SANDY BEACH ACCESS!! Ground floor means no stairs or waiting on elevators. Tropical Isle is on Okaloosa Island on the world famous Emerald Coast near Fort Walton Beach & Destin.

Wonderful one bedroom condo with a queen bed and a fold-out futon in the living room, and one bath. Sleeps 4. Full kitchen and full breakfast bar with 4 stools. The front entrance faces the street and a back entrance leads to the public beach access walkway to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. This property has a swimming pool and a convenience store next door for snacks and essentials. Excellent restaurants nearby include Old Bay Steamer, Stewby's (great affordable seafood), AJ's Oyster Shanty, Hightide Seafood & Oyster Bar, and The Gulf (outdoor seating with breathtaking sunsets overlooking the bay). Destin is only 9 minutes away with water parks, great places to eat, and lots of shopping.

My condo includes FREE wireless high speed Internet and cable television. There is a coin-op laundry room on the premises (uses credit card payments). You can expect a condo that is clean and affordable where you can walk to the beach with your coffee in the morning to enjoy the sunrise. Who knows, you might even see a dolphin playing in the water. (Look approx. 100 yards out. This is usually where the dolphins play.)

We love this Condo!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon! We loved staying here. The beach is right across the parking lot just a couple minutes to walk to it! The place itself is so clean and provides everything you would need to stay during the week! We will plan to stay here again!

Definitely well worth the investment. Mere steps away from the most beautiful beach imaginable. Its an older place but was perfect for us.

Love Tropical Isle. 2-minute walk to the beach. Pricing is very good considering distance to the beach. Owners were timely with responses. Only issue we had with the unit was the cable TV didn’t work and we couldn’t figure out how to log in to streaming services on the television in the living room. Also, and it’s a small thing, but with young boys it was tough; the toilet seat would not stay up. The lid stayed, but not the seat.

we enjoyed our stay very much. small, but everything we needed. only issue, coffee pot leaks and bottom of bathroom door could be cleaned, windows and window sill need to be cleaned, otherwise great stay and otherwise very clean. enjoyed the area, very quiet and beach "right there". will be back. thanks

Family Vacation

My husband and I, along with our children stayed for 3 nights. It was perfect! The room was very clean and well equipped with things we’d need i.e. cofffe pot, pots/pans. The pool was very close and had plenty of chairs to lounge in and the pool was clean. Access to the beach was so close and they had a borrow bin at the entrance full of beach toys to borrow…..my kids loved that and it was very convenient! We would definitely stay here again!

There was every kitchen utensil you could need in a commercial kitchen much less a condo on the beach. The extra roll away bed in closet was great if you have unexpected guests show up. Loved the beach area, low key and gorgeous. First floor access is key!!! Thanks for a great weekend, too short, will be back soon!!!

Best little bungalow on the island

It was a perfect spot, great pool facilities, close to the beach the multiple entrances make it easy to enter and exit on both sides of the property. The bungalow is close to all kinds of food and shopping (close within driving distance). It was the perfect spot to rest and relax swim, eat, lay out, and just recharge the batteries. Traded messages with the property owner several times, quick responses. I will definitely be renting this condo, this exact condo again in the near future!

If the bathroom would have been a bit cleaner I would have given this property a 5 star review, but I did have to clean the bathtub/shower upon arrival …. The bathroom needed a bit more attention but other than that it was perfect!

Excellent Stay at Tropical Isle #109

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful experience with this condo in Okaloosa Island. The unit was very clean and organized upon arrival. Perfect for 2-3 (maybe 4) people, so long as you don't require being right on the beach (which we knew). However, the beautiful beach is accessed easily and and only a couple dozen steps away. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, cups and cooking necessities. Very nice pool on site that didn't seem to get overly crowded. Lastly, condo owner, Gary, was a great communicator and made the check in process a breeze. Thank you so much!

Nice condo, not really suitable for 5

I think this is a very nice condo for a couple to get away. It is listed for 2-5, but 5 was very cramped. There is also only enough bedding for 4. Gary, The owner is super nice guy who will accommodate you if your stay isn’t quite what you expected. I would return with my wife but NOT with my family. Minor updates need to happen to the condo as well, but nothing major.

Great place to stay near the beach!

We had a great week at this condo on Okaloosa Island! The condo was clean and exactly as advertised. A 2 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute drive to Destin. I brought my wife, mother, and 5 y.o. daughter along and we all really enjoyed our stay. Having a full kitchen in the condo saved us from having to eat out a lot and we would just pick up fish from the seafood market to make our own homemade fresh seafood meals. The pull out couch does make getting around a bit of an issue when pulled out but we weren't really bothered by it. Gary was very easy to work with and quickly responded to any questions we had. One note I have is that the front door can be opened without entering keycode if not locked, so be sure to check it is locked when leaving for a day at the beach. We will most definitely be looking to stay here again soon!

Perfect budget condo

While this condo appears to be across a road, it’s really not a road. More like a parking lot and the beach is easier to access than the big condos right on the water. You can pull right up to your door, no elevator. Pool nearly empty all the time. A lot of bedroom storage for a small place. We left our beach it’s a outside on the porch area. Only downfall you can’t see the ocean from your 1st floor condo but it’s worth the sacrifice for half the price. Has a great blender in the kitchen.

Affordable and awesome! A great place to stay!

We had great communications with Gary before we booked the place. They were very helpful and went way above what we could expect from them to help us out! Wonderfull people! The A-C was running whn we arrived so it was not so hot inside. The condo was clean, beds were made and towels in the bathroom. Wifi worked great, tv sets also. The kitchen is nice and has a lot of space. Enough pots and pans to cook, a dishwasher (thanks for the dishwasher tablets!) microwave and coffee machine (with more than enough filters!). The bed was nice, we slept well. The shower was great!! All in all we had a wonderful week and will for sure be back unless we can get us one of those wonderful places ourselves! ;-) Thanks!

First we loved your unit, but a few things I should point out. A few fix-it thangs: We could not use front door without too much work, so we didn't use at all. L.Room fan was marginal at best, probably has a motor going out. Then number one: The bed. We are tall and I'm a 200 lb guy to boot. For maybe a 3 day weekend OK, but all week...not at all. With a change of mattress I'd go back in a heartbeat. Easy access to the water, next to a store...nice. Pretty quiet. Good support- if a fix is needed. Gave it 4 stars only because of the bed. Destin was a nightmare this time of year as was Ft Walton. Will go back on October. Thanks you so much. Kit n' Jane.

This was our second visit to Gary’s condo. We had a great time once again and found it difficult to leave. The condo was clean, quiet and comfortable, and the bed was great for my back. Gary is always prompt at responding and allowed us to check in early. The condo is as advertised and the beach is always gorgeous. I will keep coming back.

Our third stay at tropical isle

We've loved coming to Tropical isle and Okaloosa island! The beach access is fantastic, the pool is always clean, and the property has been a perfect fit for our family of 4 with 2 young boys. We've stayed in 3 different rooms and all were great.

Beautiful place!

Easy process, clean room, nice features, short walk to the sand, store right next door, private part of the beach that's not over crowded. Only suggestion would be a mattress topper for the bed, it's pretty firm. The room was clean and well stocked with toiletries n pots and pans. Would love to stay again!

We love Okaloosa

We stay on Okaloosa very often. This spot surprised us at how nice and convenient it was. The beach access is directly behind the unit and not crowded at all. Pool was clean. Condo was clean and had ALL of the amenities we needed! We are thankful the owners allowed to use it for vacation. Tom thumb being next door was also very nice. Thanks again
