Welcome to South Padre Island! Beautiful beaches, warm gulf waters, fishing, boating, bird watching, shopping and a diversity of year-round activities make South Padre Island one of the fantastic vacation destinations in the world.

Starfish Beach House Unit #1 is a spacious, two-bedroom, two-bath duplex, nicely decorated. Mid-island location just across from the beach. Sit on the balcony and enjoy a beautiful view of the ocean. Private parking directly in front of beach house.

The Starfish Beach House Unit #1 is pet friendly and we look forward to having your well behaved fur or feather covered family member enjoy their vacation too!

Overall absolute 10/10The only 9/10 is that it is a duplex split down the middle, wasn’t fully aware of this but not a problem at all! Otherwise my expectations were blown out of the park! Way cleaner, nicer and beautiful than the photos ! Would 100000% stay here again

My Daughter’s Birthday Weekend

The house was great. Very spacious and easy access to the beach. Loved the fact that we could just walk across the street and enter the beach. Didn’t have to drive anywhere. Was a short but fun birthday weekend for my daughter. Will definitely be booking them again.

Great location. Clean house. Full stocked kitchen with pans, silverware, pots, coffee pot and blender. Good bbq pit! Cross the street to go to beach. Loved it. Will definitely rent again for the summer.

Great weekend get wway

Love the location across from mother beach and great views from the balcony. Leslie was very accommodating. Brought us a brand new bbq grill for grilling!

Love love loved this beach home!

We have never rented a beach home before so we didn't know what to expect. This was just like home for us! It had all the comforts of home, and was close to the beach. The beds and pillows were far better than any hotel could ever offer, and it was nice to have the kitchen and washer and dryer. Everything was exceptionally clean and we appreciated being able to bring our little dogs too. Thank you! We're already planning our trip for next year!

Definitely Recommend

The house was nice, amenities were good. Its access to the beach was unbeatable and the view was lovely and we could see the beach even when we weren’t on the beach. It was spacious and overall a great place. We brought our dogs and there was a large grass yard to walk them in. The only cons I can think of were I wasn’t used to the slight movement from the stilt house. The second was that the floor was slightly uneven around the stairs so if anyone in your group has balance issues you need to be extremely careful.

Don't judge a book by its cover

Don't let the weathered outside fool you. The duplex is very clean, spacious and open. It accommodated my 6 person crew flawlessly. I must warn those with weak knees to be wary of the indoor stairs. The steps themselves are too narrow and hauling stuff up/downstairs can be quite a harrowing experience. Otherwise, the place is lovely and fully fit for a great weekend escape. The neighborhood is quiet despite being in a busy street across the beach. 10/10 will rent again!

Eh...

I've stayed in many private home rentals with very positive experiences but this one was one of the worst. I don't mean to offend the owners, who were extremely nice and very welcoming and accomodating by the way, but wanted to give other people who may be looking at this property an honest review. Honestly, the other 5 star reviews blew me away, only because the house was very dirty and kept in poor condition. Huge cracks in the filthy walls, stripped paint, chunks taken out of the walls, dust everywhere, spider webs in every corner (my oldest wouldn't even step in the downstairs bathroom - still has nightmares), non-working lights on the exterior making it very difficult to see and enter the property at night, malfunctioning lights inside that would flicker, non-working remotes, an ancient TV that was completely useless and extremely steep stairs that made it unsafe for my small children to utilize. Again, I don't think my expectations were high, but I think that if the owner/property mgr actually took time to take care of little things (like paint, dusting, etc) it would go a long way. The air conditioning worked, so that was a redeeming factor. The location was great. Although there was a ton of construction next door so don't plan on sleeping in. I don't recommend this property if you are looking for a nice, plush relaxing place to enjoy on your vacation.

I have been singing on the Island for 23 years. We bought this property as an investment and have had such a great time meeting the guests that come to stay at The Starfish Beach House. Year after year we get the same people that stay with us at this rental and they have all become part of one big family. We have seen kids grow up, get married and now bring their children to the beach to experience the same great time they had as children at The Starfish Beach House. It has been such a pleasure to get to know everyone!

South Padre Island has a little bit of everything for all to enjoy. This little slice of heaven at the tropical tip of Texas is so peaceful and relaxing.

What makes this property unique

You can just sit on the balcony and look out at the Gulf of Mexico and relax - take a walk or run on the beach or wait for the nightlife and enjoy dinner and dancing at one of our hot spots on the Island. There is always something to do or if you wish, nothing to do, but enjoy the beautiful waters of South Padre Island!
