Dear Michael, thank you for your feedback. As for your criticism of the outside space: We'd love to have a back door from the kitchen straight to the BBQ area but it's impossible due to the kitchen being partly souterrain (which has other advantages). However, once we do use the BBQ or the pizza oven, we love to use the table and seating area tight next to it. Especially in summer, there is enough light well into the evening (at least until 21:00 or 22:00, depending on the month). After that, we're just using candles (which are all around the house) which create a way nicer atmosphere than artificial light anyway. Additionally, in fact, there are lamps right next to the BBQ area and had you brought to our attention that A) you forgot about them or where to switch them on or B) that one of the three lamps had burned out - we would have been glad to show you again and/or change the light bulb. Actually, we had a very nice team event back there in September, some four weeks after your stay, and neither did I need a head torch for cooking, nor did we even after dinner change to the front-side terrace because we all enjoyed ourselves back there in the garden. As for our neighbours, they don't promote their restaurant much but we've been in contact with them and have eaten there - next time we will try the wine tasting option (which usually takes place on a Thursday) and then I'll add their place to our recommendations list of where to eat.
