The house was wonderful, comfortable beds, nice kitchen, convenient location. The host was great and very communicative throughout our stay. Parking is a little tight if both spots are in use.
This was a very clean and well stocked duplex. All the utensils and dishes you could need are there. Fridge and microwave are adequate and the coffee maker works well.
Stay was exactly what we were expecting. Listing is accurate. Rooms/beds were comfortable. Neighborhood and upstairs renters were quiet. Having a designated parking spot was great. Washer/dryer was good to have as well. Host was easy to reach if needed. Nightly rate was good compared to similar listings. Would stay there again.
We had a lovely time in Seattle! The location was an easy bus ride to King Station and downtown Seattle and close to plenty of bars, restaurants, and cute shops.Our host checked to make sure we were able to get in easily and see if we needed anything. Very friendly.
We had an excellent stay with the City Haven III stayed for 4 days to support youngest daughter during spring training/regatta at SPU. Teresa, host/owner, was attentive to our timing and offered earlier check-in, as the unit was clean and available. She checked in the next day to make sure all was well and if we had any needs. Everything was wonderful clean and fresh, generous amenities and the linens were NOT synthetic nor heavily fragranced. This is a huge bonus for my sensitivities ! While the ceilings (basement apt.) are little lower than normal, my son, 6'3" managed just fine beyond being mindful of the doorways. Beyond the ceiling difference, it was bright and welcoming with plenty of windows; each had blinds to manage privacy and daylight. Finding this coven of comfort in a accessible area of Seattle was a blessing and we will be back! Thank you !

City Haven III was exactly as described. We arrived to a clean, warm, welcoming apartment, complete with a hand-written welcome sign. The home was quiet and well-equipped with everything we needed and was a relaxing place to land at the end of a long day of travel. It should be noted that the ceilings are VERY low in this home, and if you are 6 feet or taller, this apartment is not the one for you! But for us average height folks, it was lovely!
All the amenities were great. Checked all the boxes for our short stay. Property manager was very pleasant and easy to deal with. Only caution I have is the ceilings are very low - not good for tall people.
Everything from this house was great from location to the host being amazing,Teresa was checking on us the whole time to ensure our stay was great and it was we will be using this property in the future no doubt

City Haven III was built in response to the positive feedback we received from the original City Haven (vrbo Listing 585829) which is located right next door and upper unit of this home (vrbo listing 741854).
These homes are part of a love story that started back in 2004 when I purchased this house. The following year, my now husband moved from New York and bought the house next door. When we met, I asked him to move his garbage cans out of my driveway. But soon I started asking him to salsa dancing. And then he asked me to dinner. We fell in love! The man who bought the house next door married the girl next door (me!). Two kids and a few years later, we kept the homes a rentals and moved a few blocks North.
I left my job at Microsoft and we started buffing, remodeling, scraping and decorating these homes we've come to love. City Haven III is the result of a recent remodel that's turned this old 1920's Craftsman into a modern beauty with period charm.
We're Team Simon and our whole family works to make this a place you'll love to call home for a while. We love it! And we hope you'll love it, too.
Why they chose this property
We bought this home for the same reason you'll want to stay here.... close to Green Lake (swimming, paddle boats, golf)! Close to the Zoo (animals, outdoor summer concerts)! Grocery store 3 blocks away (last minute wine and snacks)! Right next to the express bus to downtown and close to all the great restaurants in Fremont (cook, schmook... let's go out to eat)! It's the perfect centralized hub to live like a local while still being close to everything the downtown area has to offer. Home away from home!
