Excellent Villa! Clara was so responsive to a little plumbing issue we had…. Resolved within a few hours! We have visited a number of times now and loved it! We will certainly revisit next year! My only small gripe is the outside parasol situation… it could have been user error, but any small gust of wind and they were gone… we found ourselves laid there having to hold them in the weights. Some better quality parasols would be recommended. That said, we love it!

This is a well maintained property - both inside and out - in a beautiful location. We really appreciated having direct access to walk The Fisherman’s Trail and enjoyed watching others going up and down the hill outside the property. The property is easily accessible by bus from Luz and Lagos.

Yet again, another fantastic and flawless holiday! Villa absolutely spotless and smelt clean and fresh. I think there must have been some refresh work done over the winter shut down which added to the freshness. Pool immaculately clean every morning (give or take the off leaf and bug now and again). Clear communication with our hosts, as always. Booked already for a revisit in August. Can’t wait!

Brilliant and Chilled!

Wonderful stay yet again, this is our third time in Burgau and our second time at this villa. The villa is beautiful with all the amenities you would ever need for a self catering holiday!

Perfect Location for a stay in Burgau

We had a lovely time staying here whilst visiting Burgau. The property is in a great location and only a short walk to the centre of the village and the beach. Whilst it is an older property which, in time, would benefit from a spruce up, this certainly didn’t detract from our stay and we would love to visit again.

Perfect spot to relax and unwind!

We cannot recommend the property enough. It is in such a great location, offering privacy, peace and a great sense of security. It is a home away from home! It is close to so many great local shops, restaurants, bars and beaches, yet is only a short drive away from other scenic locations. We would love to visit and stay again!

Perfect place to stay!

This is a wonderful villa with stunning views and a beautiful pool and garden area. Location is ideal- you are about a five minute walk to local shops and beach. Check in was simple and accommodation, pool and garden were tended to during our stay. Couldn’t have had a nicer time and would absolutely love to go back! Pool club next door does have live music but it generally wrapped up around 9/10pm so didn’t disturb us.

Nice location

Very basic accommodation / needs some love & attention to really make the most of this villa which has so much potential. Some lights not working 1 damaged sun lounger - no cushions But in general nice base to stay Cleaner midweek / good Pool cleaned during stay / good Garage was utilised as a Working office!

Sorry that some light bulbs stopped working, and a sun bed broke during your stay. I understand they were quickly replaced by the manager, who is always happy to assist when called. Spacious Villa with a Pool in a great little village.

The villa is very spacious with a wonderful view of the surrounding hills and the ocean. It is an easy walk to the quaint town where there are a variety of very good restaurants and the beach. It was nice to have easy access to the trail through the hills along the ocean. The unit was cleaned once during our stay which was unexpected and very nice. Our only issue was the parking - everyone parked on the walk in front of their units thus the road was tight and you need to park your car very close to the building so others can get by on the road.

Grear location

We enjoyed our stay very much. A shade or thicker curtains in upstairs window would be helpful as the sun shined directly in our eyes on sunny days. It was a quite the alarm clock. We loved the quiet town of Burgau and that it was only a 10 minute drive to golf at Espiche and go into Lagos for boat tours.

Wonderful time spend

The whole house was clean and well prepared for our arrival. It is a very pleasant space with a large terrace and a swimming pool, which allows us to enjoy the sunny days. As for its location, it is located in a quiet place that allows you to rest and is just 5 minutes walk from everything: shopping, restaurants and the beach. Nearby, there are beautiful hiking trails and close to the coast to enjoy nature and the ocean. I highlight the communication and availability of managers.

lovely villa Portugal

Loved the villa and location would go later in the year next time as villa cold inside and pool freezing, we went in May would probably go June next time. Burgau beach the locals so lovely and welcoming, we ventured out to Praia de Luz where some of the staff on the beach bars were rude and we welcomed the return to Burgau, was small village but we kept finding hidden pubs and restaurants, would definitely come back. The AC was switched off and we did not need to use, but some sort of heating wold have been welcome.

So much potential,disappointing

It wouldn't take a huge amount of money to make this property a much sort after place to stay, the only thing that sells it, is it's position! No soul to it at all. The only house we've ever stayed in that had no home comforts or even a bottle of water in the fridge, which would have been much appreciated, especially after a delayed flight and no shops open. Twin bedroom smelt very musty. Only positive, master bedroom bed very comfy.

Great location for seeing Algarve region in March!

Clean and comfortable sleeping accommodations are the hallmarks we look for in reviews about places to stay.This property gets high marks on both accounts.Being that we were here in March, the pace was slow. The weather was cool and ever-changing - just right for winter dwellers looking for a reprieve from snow and cold at home.The Algarve region has amazing history, man-made and natural wonders, and it all can be reached easily by car.With breathtaking hikes right outside your door, a beautiful beach a few minutes walk away, and enough great restaurants offering eclectic dining experiences, Burgau is a small town we would stay in again.Needless to say, the people were wonderful. After all, it's Portugal! Maybe due to the off season, parking was always available close by, if not right in front of the property. Security never seemed an issue.The host provided a binder with much information regarding the property itself, Burgau, and the bigger city nearby, Lagos. There is a nice pool, too cool to use in March, but very clean, nonetheless.Overall, this was an excellent place to stay for our 10 day visit to this region for the first time. We ventured from Tavira, to Loule for Carnival, to the beaches, cliffs, and history of Sagres and Carrapateira, to the mountain town of Monchique. There is still so much more to see and do!This host and property deserve high marks for providing an excellent home base from which to see the best of the region.

Blick auf das Wasser nur aus der oberen Etage möglich. Schlafzimmer und Bäder rochen trotz regelmäßigen Lüften muffig. Einige Türen schliffen auf dem Boden, Türschließmechanismus an mehreren Türen nicht funktionsfähig. Schränke innen nicht sauber, Schrank-und Zimmertüren verschmutzt. Kühlschrank war bei Ankunft verschmutzt und stank nach Fisch. 2 von 3 Pfannen völlig zerkratzt, geeignete Pfannenwender waren nicht vorhanden. Das Haus müsste eine Grundreinigung und eine handwerkliche Aufarbeitung erhalten. Die regelmäßige Reinigung war in Ordnung. Die Reinigungskraft kann natürlich in der knapp bemessenen Zeit keine Grundreinigung des gesamten Hauses durchführen. Pflege des Pools erfolgte regelmäßig und war in Ordnung. Terrassentür konnte nicht gekippt werden, da sie aushakte.
