Lovely cottage in pretty town of Dunblane. Beautifully decorated throughout full of character. Comfy bed and great shower. Everything spotlessly clean.
Highly recommended for stay in this beautiful part of Scotland.
Cannot fault the accommodation or the owner, both first class. Well located property for nearby walks, restaurant and pub. Railway station also close by for trains to Stirling , Edinburgh, Glasgow , Perth , plus many other locations. Dunblane is a quiet peaceful place. Just returned , and already looking at our diary for a return visit.
Beautifully appointed, comfortable cottage. A hiccup with the door lock was quickly fixed. I grew up in the town and this was a lovely base to explore my old habitat and reconnect with school friends. I would book it again.

4 Night Break in Dunblane
Positives: Great Location, comfy bed, super well equipped (the best we have had), nicely furnished, great host, very easy to communicate with. Negatives: The downstairs was extremely cold even with the central heating on, the back door needs replaced. There is a log burner but it’s difficult to use and pointless since it cancels out the central heating which means no heating upstairs. We actually left the property a day early as we were miserable sitting in the lounge area due to it being cold out and the one radiator not being sufficient to warm the property, The property being mid terrace was very dark, and the lighting is not great so made it impossible to sit with a good book and relax. The last part was the stairs, they are practically vertical and I really feel this should be mentioned in the property details as they are totally unsuitable for people with mobility issues, we don’t have, but the stairs were daunting for us and if we had known about them we would not have booked this particular property.

I was so disappointed to receive this review especially as the property has received consistent 5 star reviews. I always make myself available for guests to ensure they have the best of stays.
The cottage was fully refurbished in 2019 and features a brand new combi boiler and multiple radiators throughout, a new wood burning stove that’s heat rating is for a far larger property plus new sash and case double glazed windows. These features enable guests to create a very warm and cosy cottage. Their are numerous choices of new light fittings which can be dimmed to create your ideal levels of light.
Sadly the reviewer did not contact me at any time to explain they were unable to work the central heating thermostat, stove or lighting do as to create their ideal conditions. Had I been aware I would have attended within minutes to rectify any issues.
As the cottage is over 200 years old the stairs are reasonably steep but have two handrails to aid anyone less sure of foot.
If you would like further information please see the previous reviews.
Comfortable two level cottage well located and within walking distance to local pubs, restaurants, and the grocery store. Nice little town without all the tourist traffic. Accurately advertised, flawless check-in and check-out .
Beautiful cottage with equally lovely garden. Bed was super comfy and that bath - wow! Jo was so helpful in giving us recommendations which were fantastic. Dunblane is so pretty and we were made most welcome by everyone. Fantastic restaurants and shops on the doorstep. Can't rate highly enough, thank you.
Fantastic place to stay and work away from home. Lovely decor, warm and comfortable and perfectly kitted out. Jo’s attention to detail and pride in her home is the icing on the cake. Highly recommended.
The Cottage is an superb home away, very clean and comfortable, beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a short or long stay. Jo, the owner, is warm, friendly and cheerful, and is dedicated to provide the best experience you can have. Her care and attention for the Cottage and the garden extends to you as guest. Stay at the Cottage, relax in the garden, pick the blackcurrants, walk the riverbank, climb the hills, meet Jo - enrich your life.
The cottage is great, very nice inside and right in the centre of town but with easy access to the surrounding area for walks in the hills etc. We would recommend it.
Clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated, it had everything we needed for our 10 night stay.
Jo’s greeting was warm and welcoming, and she explained everything we needed to know.
If you get the chance, spend some time at the top of the garden. It’s a peaceful sun trap, with great views over Dunblane.
Dunblane itself was a very pleasant surprise. It’s got lots of history in the close-by Museum, Leighton Library and Cathedral. There’s plenty of places to eat, with our favourites being The Riverside, The Old Churches House Hotel Bistro and Tilley’s Cafe.
We also used it as a base for touring round. The A9/M9 is very close, and we were amazed that there are trains every 30 minutes from the nearby Dunblane Railway Station to both Edinburgh and Glasgow, and the closer Stirling and Perth.

Beautifully presented, The Cottage exceeded our expectations for a short break.
Firstly, communications with the owner, Jo, were great - fast, friendly and full of good info! She had prepared the wood-burner for us and came in to personally welcome us shortly after our arrival. Jo waxed lyrical about the views from Dumyat and they were terrific (weather was kind!).
The Cottage is perfectly kitted out with kitchen, bathroom and living room elegantly pragmatic. We were only staying for 2 nights, but it's a fantastic discovery that left husband, wife and dog feeling much more relaxed than when we arrived. (Kids slightly envious though;)
Highly recommend!

Perfect Romantic Getaway!
We loved our stay at the cottage! It was exactly what we were looking for. It was clean, cozy, decorated to a very high standard and very central but remote, we didn’t need to drive anywhere. The icing on the cake was the log burner that was crackling away On our arrival, the chilled cava in the fridge and delicious home made treats-thank you Jo. Last but not least the bath, Heaven want one!
