Our party of six was very comfortable. AC in all main rooms was a lifesaver! Very convenient for great cultural sites, restaurants and shops; also very convenient public transportation to entire city center and beyond. We have stayed in Trastevere for twenty years and we love it.
My main concern was that it was very noisy with the bars directly below the bedroom window. Unfortunately, I would not recommend a family to stay here. My daughter and I were up until 3:30 am once the loud music stopped and the people cleared out. We were then awakened at 6:30 am for the street sweepers to clear the broken glass from the streets. I stayed on the weekend and do not know if it would be this loud during the week. The home was clean and spacious.

Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting that you found the apartment clean and spacious.
We are very sorry that the noise you experienced during your stay disturbed your sleep. We fully understand how frustrating this can be, particularly when travelling with family.
We would, however, like to clarify a couple of points for future guests reading this review.
There are no bars or restaurants directly below the street-facing bedroom windows. The businesses immediately beneath the apartment are a record shop and a leather goods store, both of which close in the early evening. There are, of course, bars and restaurants elsewhere along the street and throughout Trastevere.
Your stay took place over on a weekend of August, during an exceptionally hot period in Rome. Trastevere is one of the city’s most central and lively historic neighbourhoods, and on summer weekends people often remain outdoors until late, particularly when temperatures during the day are very high. While we cannot know exactly where the noise you heard that night originated, it is quite possible that much of it came from people gathered in the street and unfortunately the behaviour of people in public streets is, of course, outside the control of the property.
We would also like to offer a different perspective on the suggestion that the apartment is not suitable for families. We regularly welcome families and have done so for many years. Some specifically choose this area because they are visiting children studying at American universities and international academic institutions in and around Trastevere, while many others simply appreciate being able to stay within walking distance of much of historic Rome.
Trastevere is undoubtedly a lively neighbourhood, and guests seeking an especially quiet or residential environment may prefer a different area of the city. Our experience over many years of regularly welcoming families has been very different.
Regarding the early-morning street cleaning mentioned in the review, this is a municipal public service carried out independently by the city and is entirely outside the control of the property.
Thank you again for staying with us and for sharing your experience.
We had a fantastic time staying in the apartment. The location is ideal, on the center of trasteverre. Place has all the amenities needed for family. The host was very responsive and helpful. High recommended!
We had a fantastic stay at Michelle’s place in the heart of Rome. Booking, checking in, and communicating with our host was smooth and easy. The apartment itself was beautiful and had everything we needed. The location is fantastic and all of the main sites were easily accessible from there. The local area is buzzing and there are so many options for food nearby with shops for groceries etc. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Rome.
Michele was a very welcoming and accomodating host. The flat was really comforable and had everything we needed. Great location with so many options for good food, perfect location for exploring Rome.
Excellent location in the heart of Trastevere. Location is where the action is, lots of restaurants and shops minutes from the apartment. Also the main attractions of Rome are easily reachable by walking or for those who prefer public transportation the tram is only a few minutes away.Description is of the place is adequate to what is advertised, 2 bathroom but only 1 shower, the other bathroom has a tub.Excellent communication with the owner. We enjoyed our 3 night stay.
This spacious apartment in the heart of the action made a great vantage point from which to navigate all parts of Rome. It gave us a real feel for life and dining in Trastevere. Family owned restaurants were steps away. Michele met us and gave us a list of places for necessities. With 5 adults and two weeks of travel behind us, the washer/dryer was well-used. We regrouped each morning and evening around the large kitchen table and cups of espresso and vino. Made wonderful memories. The Russells.
Really nice apartment in a historic building in a historic neighborhood. Great climate control. Comfortable beds and furniture. The street is alive every day with nice restaurants and shops. Street is lively at night with dinners. A fun place to stay.
Very pleased with the apartment. Very comfortable and a fully equipped kitchen. Our host was great waiting for us and did a review of all the features. Great location, multiple restaurants within a few steps. Would recommend to anyone that is looking at being of the middle of the action and walking distance from most tourist sites.
We loved our stay in Trastevere. The apartment was truly fantastic, great furniture and everything needed for a 5 night stay including cooking for Christmas
Michele was so helpful with literally everything. He gave us recommendations and explained everything about the apartment that we needed to know! He is so sweet and helpful! Would definitely stay there again!
We loved it. Perfect for my wife and I to stay and walk around Rome.We could walk to all of the important must see spots.Micheal was excellent as a host.Loved it.
We stayed at this apartment last year for two weeks with our adult daughter and liked it so much we stayed again this year for three weeks. The apartment had everything we needed and more. Very functional layout of the apartment provides two separate entries and a bathroom for each bedroom. The apartment has all the amenities we needed and the washer and dryer was a great help. The location was perfect for us being close to everything including restaurants, bars, pastry and gelato shops, little markets and a Conad supermarket close by. All the major tourist attractions we wanted to see were within walking distance. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace. The owner, Michele, was very helpful and responsive to our questions.
Nicely appointed apartment, with a nice large family room to decompress after running the streets of Rome. Great A/C to cool off as well. Location is in the heart of Trastevere - making it a breeze to find whatever you need.
We really enjoyed the location and the home. Wonderful place to stay. Michele was very responsive to our needs during our stay. There were a lot of cute restaurants close by and it was easy walking distance to many places.

Excellent stay in a lively neighborhood. Our three boys (17, 18, and 21) enjoyed the restaurants, shopping, and late night piazza time, just downstairs from the apartment. The kitchen was fully stocked, a grocery and many restaurants were close by, and the a/c was outstanding during the hot August temps. Great communication too.
Great location. Close to restaurants and local sites. This is how real Romans live. Michele was a gracious and conscientious host. Loved the outdoor sitting area.
Charming apartment and wonderful host in a perfect location. Spacious accommodations combined comfort and good taste, and the apartment boasted a well equipped kitchen.
Apartment was great for 4 of us. We loved having a terrace to sit out and enjoy the evening. The area is very busy in the evenings but close to restaurants and bars.

Hello I'm Michele, the apartment's owner! I love to travel to know new places and new habits. I like so much the food and always try new dishes of different countries. Love also to cook.
Why they chose this property
I often travel for work to Spain and I have a family house in a small Village by the sea called Cadaques where a part of my family live, for this reason i started to rent my Trastevere apartment and I always had really nice experiences with my guests. Where in Rome I like to welcome my guests and I'm always on call for any suggestions or tips to make better and special their stay here in my city. Rome is of course a nice city but Trastevere is surely one of the nicest and characteristic district to come to visit it.
