Base for touring

Les Noisettes is a lovely property with all the facilities one could wish for. We used it as a base to tour the surrounding villages etc,and it was perfect for that, and we knew we had a comfortable cottage to return to. I would definitely visit again.

Lovely property in great location to suit our holiday

Suitably equipped house in rural (quiet) location served as a perfect base to visit the Les Plus Beaux Villages and more (Bergerac, Sarlat, Saint Emilion and Bordeaux). Lots of running trails around and plenty of things to do (canoeing, cycling, local markets, brocantes, night markets…) within short drives. Pool to be enjoyed on days in. Friendly and informative host.

Les Noisettes is perfectly situated to explore the region. Many lovely chateaux, towns and villages within easy reach. We were staying during a heatwave and it was great to return each day to the pool. The house itself has plenty of amenities and a spacious kitchen and lounge. The owner John in particular was very helpful, easy to contact and accommodating. Two of the bedrooms have ceiling fans and another fan was provided to help cool the lounge. The house interior is a 'vintage' mix but when out most of the time exploring it matters little. It is comfortable and had all we needed for our stay. The area is quiet and though we did hear the house directly attached on a few occasions it did not disturb. All in all a very pleasant stay!

Lovely relaxing and fun break

The property is perfect for a relaxing family break. The pool offers a good escape if it gets hot and is large enough to play and enjoy. The drive is a perfect place to play Boule. The situation is good for activities, local markets and vinyard visits. The only drawback we had was having to travel for bread in the morning though we turned that into a positive by visiting differvnt towns and villages.

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine en famille dans ce ravissant cottage. La piscine est un réel atout surtout en ces temps de fortes chaleurs.Nous en avons bien profité.La maison était fraîche malgré la chaleur extérieure.La maison est idéalement située : proche de Bergerac et autres sites touristiques d'intérêt tel que le gouffre de Proumeyssac.Les activités comme le canoë sur la Dordogne sont également à portée de main.Jill et John sont des hôtes très sympathiques et réactifs.

We had a wonderfully relaxed two weeks in July. The weather was exceptionally hot but the pool was always refreshing. We love this area in South West France and have visited on many occasions over the years. Les Noisettes was, by a long way, the gite that best met our needs. If all goes well, we would love to be able to visit again next year.

Notre séjour s’est très bien déroulé, la maison est idéalement située un peu en hauteur ce qui permet une légère brise malgré la canicule. La piscine est très bien également ainsi que la terrasse qui permet de se reposer et manger dehors. La maison est ancienne et très pratique. Les murs aident à conserver un certain niveau de fraîcheur. Jill et John ont été de très bons hôtes discrets disponibles et très aimables ! Nous recommandons vivement !!

Maison très agréable et fonctionnelle. Une belle piscine,c'est ce qui importait pour nos petits enfants....Vaste jardin pour gambader et jouer au ballon..Idéalement située dans la campagne pour ceux qui recherchent le calme et fuient un peu la cohue Propriétaire très sympa ce qui ne gate rien.

Excellent séjour à Thénac

Nous avons passé de formidables vacances chez Jill et John ! La maison est spacieuse et très propre , la piscine est grande nous y avons passé de très bons moments ! l'environnement est très beau , le jardin est très grand , nous avons fait de nombreuses promenades à travers les vignes ! de jolis villages aux alentours et de nombreux châteaux à visiter . Jill et John sont très sympathiques et acceuillants ! Je recommande !!

Heerlijke zomervakantie

We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad in het huis van John en Jill. Ze waren erg gastvrij. De omgeving is lekker rustig en we hebben dan ook genoten met ons gezin. Bij aankomst ligt er een informatiepakket klaar met leuke plekken om te bezoeken. Heel handig. Het huis is schoon, van alle gemakken voorzien en weg ruim. Een aanrader!

Très agréable séjour

Vacances a Thenac " Les noisettes" juillet 2021

Tres belle maison ancienne retapée. Les équipements sont corrects et suffisants. Rangements, lits comfortables, cuisine très grande avec tout ce qu'il faut. Salon, fauteuils canapé TV satellite TNT... pour la location l'ensemble est très bien aménagé. Pours des anciens ou des jeunes couples même avec enfants Tout autour des villages charmants, des marches, des visites de châteaux mais aussi de la marche, du vélo ou du VTT ... bref le calme et le repos avec une piscine.
