Living/dining room: With wood burner, 20" Freeview TV, DVD player, CD player, iPod dock and door leading to small balcony.
Kitchen: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
Bedroom 1: With twin beds.
Bedroom 2: With zip and link kingsize bed (can be 2ft 6in twin beds on request).
Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail.. Economy 7 heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Logs for wood burner included.. Large garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Balcony. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: During the winter months, guests may need a 4WD, chains or winter tyres to access the property.. Kintulloch is located within the scattered community of Inveruglas just a few miles from the town of Kingussie in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. It enjoys an elevated setting with views across open countryside towards the Monadhliath mountains and Insh Marshes RSPB reserve. The Badenoch Way, a scenic walking route through Speyside, runs past the house. Behind the house there are no tarmacced roads or houses for many miles, and Glen Feshie is within walking distance for a good day out. The single-storey, detached bungalow has been furnished and equipped to a good standard to ensure as comfortable and relaxing a holiday as possible and makes the perfect base for enjoying the many amenities and outdoor activities this area has to offer. It is located just a short distance by car from Loch Insh and its outdoor centre, where you can enjoy a large variety of water sports including sail and paddle sports, raft building, fishing and rowing, along with the dry ski slope where you can try boarding and skiing. Quad biking, zip lining, zorbing and river tubing are all available in the area. Inshriach Nursery has a lovely tea room with delicious cakes and fantastic viewing of red squirrels and other wildlife. Kingussie offers a variety of good bars, restaurants and shops or slightly further afield (approximately 12 miles) is the vibrant town of Aviemore, again with a good selection of amenities. Amongst the many attractions are the Landmark Forest Adventure Park in Carrbridge, the Highland Folk Museum at Newtonmore, the Boat of Garten Osprey Centre, the Wildlife Park and the Cairngorm funicular railway to name just a few. Further afield, you can visit Inverness, the Highland capital city, Loch Ness and its famous monster, Culloden Battlefield and Fort George. Take a trip along the beautiful Moray coastline, voted amongst the world’s top 20 coastal destinations, where you can visit quaint villages and meander along the white sands of the beaches, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the of the Moray Firth bottlenose dolphins. Wonderful mountain bike trails and forest walks, coupled with golf, climbing and photography, you will be spoilt for choice of things to do and see. Back at the cottage, the wildlife is a real feature. Red squirrels are frequent visitors to the bird feeders if there are nuts, as are a great variety of birds. Deer can sometimes be seen in the garden as can pine martens. Kintulloch is a beautiful and peaceful place to relax and if it’s a bad weather day, there is a variety of books, puzzles and games for guests to enjoy. Shop, pub and restaurant 3½ miles.
