The cottage was perfect for our requirements, a quiet recharge of batteries. The reason for average rating for local amenities is, that it is a remote setting and, we did not seek out the surrounding area.

We enjoyed a three night stay at the barn which was spacious and comfortable, and has been nicely renovated and furnished. The kitchen and bathroom are modern, and the beds are nice and comfy. We enjoyed the countryside views and especially the morning visits from deer on the neighbouring field, which we could watch from the large lounge windows. The owners are very helpful and although they were not able to meet us personally, they left clear instructions regarding access and heating, and were contactable if we needed anything.

This was our first visit to Elm tree barn and our first time away for Christmas and we couldn't have been happier. We arrived to a warm and beautifully decorated barn. Sally had kindly gifted us with fresh bread, butter, milk,honey, wine and even dog treats which was just delightful. The barn was warm and very well equipped with everything that we could have wanted to make our stay as comfortable as it was. Tim the dog was adorable and very friendly. We can not wait to go back again in the near future. Thank you sally xx
