What some of our guests have said about their stay...
May 2018 'Wonderfully relaxing week in this superbly maintained cottage. Enjoyable visits to sights, old and new. Excellent Sunday lunch at the Northumberland Arms in Felton and a seriously good lunch at The Running Fox (booking essential). Already planning our next visit....The B's and The K's'
August 2018 'Thank you for a wonderful week staying at Buttercup Cottage. The welcome pack and all the local information was much appreciated - we found it easy to navigate our way round and although we've had 7 full days - we still could not fit in all we wanted to do (Cragside was amazing). I'm sure we will be back!! A beautiful cottage, a beautiful location and a fabulous holiday.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at Buttercup cottage. It was clean, well equipped and in the perfect location. The countryside is amazing and Kate the owner was so very helpful. Can't wait to go back!
Buttercup Cottage had everything you could need, a home from home, with quality furnishings and decor. Perfect location for exploring the wonderful Northumberland coastline as well as inland places of interest. Host was great at communicating by email, very welcoming and helpful.
Cottage was fantastic. Very warm, quiet and relaxing within easy driving of all attractions in the area. We will definitely come again in the future. As a three generation family, there was plenty space for us all and the 3 bathrooms were a bonus. Excellent parking with 2 parking spaces.

Thanks so much for your lovely review and being a fantastic guest 🙂
We had a week in Northumberland visiting family and stayed in this beautiful cottage. Everything is decorated beautifully, warm and cosy. Great communication from the owner who is super helpful and responsive. Great location close to all the beautiful beaches and villages on the coast! Would highly recommend and hopefully we can stay again in future when we come to visit!
We had a lovely few days in Northumberland with extended family. The cottage is really nicely done with everything you could need. It’s very clean. It’s a great location for exploring the area thanks to the A1 being only a few minutes away. I had a few messages with the owner, Kate, about extending our booking and making some changes and she was really lovely and helpful. We’d definitely stay again next time we’re in the area.
Beautiful property which was perfect for a New Year’s break with friends. Equipped with everything you could possibly need and lots of very welcome extras. We would highly recommend and definitely worth a return visit!

Beautiful stone cottage
Buttercup cottage was stunning inside and out. The cottage was very well furnished and beautifully maintained.
The cottage is set in the grounds of a golf course so it’s very quiet and private yet still within easy reach of local amenities and attractions.
Highly recommended, we will certainly be visiting again,

Thank you for your lovely review Ian....yes, we love the quiet, parkland setting of the cottage....but so close to the many attractions of Northumberland.
You were perfect guests, we would love to have you stay again!
The property was perfect! The ideal centre from which to explore all our well loved, favourite places. Highly recommended!!!
Everything was very clean and beautifully presented. Our host was attentive and
answered all our questions as soon as they were asked, including the nearest local shop for milk!
The cottage was lovely very well presented and plenty of crockery etc . It was warm and clean with a nice welcome pack of wine and chocolates. They only thing we could fault it on was the seating in the lounge,it was a squeeze on the sofas as we were a party of six adults.Other than that a very pleasant stay .
We had a great stay in Buttercup Cottage, a total home from home experience.
Set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings, well equipped and spotlessly clean.
The Welcome Pack on the table when we arrived was a lovely gesture.
Kate couldn't do enough for us nothing was too much trouble.
We certainly hope to return in the future.
This is the best property I have ever stayed at. The decor is gorgeous, the facilities superb. 3 en suite bedrooms and all the showers work independently so no waiting for anyone. Kitchen has all the equipment you could need with a large fridge freezer. Bed’s extremely comfortable. Lovely view over the 18th hole on the golf course from the balcony. The people who run the bar at the golf club are very friendly. Would highly recommend.
