The setting of this little place is idyllic - beautiful old trees, rolling green hills, and well-kept buildings. The owners / hosts are wonderful people - outgoing and friendly. The inside is quaint and *pristine*. We’ve stayed in dozens of vacation rentals and this is in our top 5. Will definitely try to get this place when we visit again!
Beautiful and quiet.
All the comforts of home.
Charming host matches the property perfectly. She was super sweet and very welcoming. We had everything we needed. Next trip to Kansas we will come back here
Wonderful host. Karen was so friendly and helpful. She made sure we had everything we needed. Clean and efficient with lots of room. We liked having a full kitchen even though we didn’t have a chance to cook. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Great location, in the woods.Just a few minutes from Hutchinson.
Great hosts! Perfect location to visit our son over Thanksgiving. Clean, stocked kitchen made cooking our meals so easy. Outdoor space to take a walk or play a quick football game. Perfect!
We were I. Town for an extended family gathering and so much enjoyed having a place to go at the end of each busy day! Thanks to Karen for making us feel welcomed!
The cottage at this beautiful farm property in rural Kansas is an ideal location to enjoy the wonderful countryside and be rejuvenated. The hosts, Karen and Mo, are so very welcoming and have paid close attention to the fine details of the cottage located a good distance from their home offering privacy and yet a hospitable atmosphere.

Another lovely stay in Buhler
We had another wonderful stay in this lovely cottage over Thanksgiving. It's the perfect cozy and tranquil space for our family of four and our two little girls (ages 4 and 1.5) loved romping around the property and petting all the friendly cats. The best home base for visiting family in Hesston and Newton and we always love returning here at the end of the evening! Thanks so much for another great Thanksgiving holiday.

Lovely cottage in a relaxing setting
We really enjoyed our time at the cottage in the woods. It was clean, comfortable, and very peaceful. Our kids loved exploring the woods and looking at the kittens. We slept well. It was convenient to Hutchinson, where we visited family. Would love to come back here someday!
Great! Wi-Fi would have been helpful since cell service isn't good. Thank you

Wonderful spot for families
We loved our time at Karen and Mo's lovely property in rural Kansas. We stayed for four nights while visiting family in Hesston and Newton for Thanksgiving and so enjoyed it. We traveled with our two daughters - 3 years old and 5 months - and the space worked perfectly. It's nicely decorated, clean, and was warm and cozy in the evenings. The property is large and gorgeous and our older daughter loved running around, playing with the kittens and riding the zip line. This is a really special spot and we hope to return the next time we're in Kansas.

Fantastic time!!! Fantastic location!!!
My wife and I with three adult children had a great time at the Cottage In The Woods. It was more than I expected. The grounds around the cottage were tranquil and a great place to wake up each morning. Our hosts were very nice and inviting and had suggestions for food and attractions. We were here for the Kansas State Fair but took in both Strataca and the Cosmosphere so we did not get to spend as much time at the Cottage as we would have liked to. We will definitely try to return to this location. Thanks for the great stay and great night sleep.

The setting was absolutely beautiful.
The host were very accommodating. We had a mini family vacation at this property there was lots of room for the kids to play wide-open spaces. The kids play baseball the grandchildren were able to run and chase bubbles. There was a fire pit that we were able to cook hamburgers on over an open flame just sit and enjoy the fire and watch the night sky light up with with stars was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed getting up early in the morning having our coffee on the front porch and just listening to the birds. Overall we had a great time.
First thing first, the owners are amazing. Before our vacation, this part of Kansas had just went through heavy rains, and some of the roads had flooded over. The owner called several days before our trip to warn us, and as we were approaching the cabin, actually guided us by phone and in person once we got close. To say they went above and beyond is a severe understatement.
As for the cabin itself, it is probably just what you are looking for. We enjoyed peaceful mornings and cool, quite evenings, and the friendliest cats I’ve ever seen in my life. My family and I would definitely stay here again.

Cute cottage, lovely farm, and wonderfully friendly host
We had a very enjoyable stay at the cottage. It was a portion of a larger structure had been made into a cottage. The cottage was larger than we were expecting and clean. Our host, Karen, was so nice and accommodating. She replied quickly to any questions we had per phone or text. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch and the cats that came around were very friendly. Karen was kind and offered us the use of their golf cart so we could take our elderly mother on a ride around the farm grounds which she thoroughly enjoyed! The TV only gets a couple channels but there are DVD and VHS players. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. It was so refreshing to have plenty of kitchen towels, washcloths, and towels to use. The town of Buhler is less than two miles away. They have a small grocery store and a couple places to eat. We grew up in the country so we really appreciate being able to get out of town.
