Apartment in a medieval village

Ca Montalcino is a delightful apartment located inside the walls of the ancient castle of San Giovanni d Asso, one of the beautiful villages in the hamlet of Montalcino, in the heart of the Val d Orcia.

It consists of a double bedroom, a sitting room, kitchen and bathroom. It is ideal for two or three people; in the sitting room there is a single sofa bed.

The house, renovated in 2018, overlooks a characteristic courtyard with a well and has a small open space on the back suitable for relaxing on sunny days. A room in the basement houses the laundry room and bicycles, available to guests.

From San Giovanni d Asso you can easily reach many of the most suggestive destinations in the area: from Pienza to Bagno Vignoni, to Rapolano Terme, to Montepulciano and Montalcino itself. Siena, Arezzo, Perugia and the sea are about an hour away.

Amazing!

We had a pleasant stay in this clean, fantastic well equiped house! Situated in a medieval town. The surroundings are amazing. Val d’Orcia is beautiful! Tuscan wine, beer and food, what else do you need on a holiday 😉

This charming apartment provided the space and proximity to the festivities I endured while visiting Siena for a friends wedding. The natural beauty of the location is a win in itself. The neighbors were hospitable and the neighborhood itself was serene and meditative.

Exceptional Tuscan Home

How delightful it was to have experienced one of Tuscany's famous hilltop village homes. Filled with charm and character, we slept comfortably through the night! We enjoyed a meal high atop the fortress walls overlooking the valley in a restaurant just across the street! We will be back as soon as possible! Thank you , Silvia!

10 wunderschöne Tage in der Toskana

Silvia stand uns von Anfang an bei jeder Frage zur Verfügung!!! Das Ferienhaus ist perfekt für zwei Personen und hat alles was man alltäglich benötigt. Evtl. einmal Wechselhandtücher, wenn man 10 Tage oder länger bleibt ;-) Es waren 10 Tage Toskana pur !!! Grazie Mille :-) Liebe Grüße Sven und Jacqueline

La casa è quasi indipendente. Piccola ma molto particolare e graziosa, si trova praticamente all'interno di un piccolo borgo. Per entrarci dal parcheggio si passa dentro una rocca medievale: da cinema! Il paesaggio intorno è meraviglioso e decisamente tranquillo. Bastano circa 20Km per essere a Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano, ecc. La casa è molto ben tenuta, pulita con clima, riscaldamenti e tutti i comfort. Consigliata per una coppia o, al limite, coppia con bambino.

Una casetta incantevole

Sono stato diverse volte in Val d’Orcia, che è un luogo meraviglioso. Questa casa è deliziosa, molto ben accessoriata, in un borgo tranquillo . Il paesino ha tutti i servizi principali ed attorno il paesaggio lascia senza fiato. Dal paese si raggiungono i più bei luoghi della Val d’Orcia, diversi siti termali , si può assaggiare tartufo e ottimi vini. Abbiamo fatto anche dei giri con le biciclette a disposizione degli ospiti. Grazie per tutto!

apartment was neat but very uncomfortable

the apartment was advertised as having air conditioning The air conditioner was in one room, it did not get very cool at all, in fact I could hear the compressor starting and stopping every 5 minutes. There was no fan to move air into the bedroom thus we were forced to sleep in a room that was probably 30C (86F). The rental owner was not in town and we were greeted by an associate. When I asked about a fan she offered no help. I was completely dissatisfied with this rental. It is quite obvious that VRBO does not investigate the accuracy of the listings and therefore I do not understand how VRBO justifies the fee that is charged. I respectfully request a refund of 2 nites rental for this property. I will be persuing this with my credit card company.

Dear Dennis, air conditioning was properly working, I called the technician immediately after your message to discover that you probably used it in the wrong way. You went away in the morning of the first day while our agency assistant was coming to the apartment to check the situation. I would have agreed with your request of refunding if we were informed properly, but we did not.
