Welcome to The Big House at Apple Blossom Farm, the only vacation home in the Gettysburg area with a year-round heated indoor pool!
Arrive via a half-mile driveway lined with organic apple trees and friendly deer. This 30-acre farm retreat is just 10 minutes from downtown Gettysburg yet secluded and peaceful, surrounded by wineries, orchards, golf courses, shopping, skiing, antiques, and more.
Sit on your private balcony overlooking the pastures where you’ll see horses, donkeys, Highland cow, pygmy goats, deer, wild turkeys, and other wildlife.

Farm Experience
Guests are welcome to enjoy our rescue animals: horses, donkeys, pygmy goats, barn cats, Highland cow, chickens, ducks, and geese. Children love helping with feeding (treats available for purchase from our son).
Hot Tub (Optional Add-On) can be added up to two days before arrival.
Our 6-person hot tub is available as an add-on. This is by the length of your stay.
2 nights – $150 flat fee
3–5 nights – $200 flat fee
6–8 nights – $250 flat fee
9–11 nights – $300 flat fee
Additional Notes
Dogs welcome ($150 per dog, flat fee). No cats.
Property is professionally cleaned between stays (black light inspections for pet accidents).
As a farm/orchard setting, harmless pests (stink bugs, lantern bugs and, field mice) may occasionally be present despite regular extermination.
Safety: No ATVs or motorbikes permitted.
Cameras: Ring doorbell (front parking area) + exterior camera (driveway).
Checkout procedures required (strip beds, take trash out, put away dishes).
Signed rental agreement required plus ID.
The Big House is on the owners private 30 acres along with the owners's home and two other private rentals.

The pool is indoor and heated year round. That being said the pool room itself does not have a heater however the room warms up naturally once the pool cover is removed because heat and humidity rise off the water.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
In the winter adjust upstairs thermostats to 60 degrees Turn downstairs bedroom thermostats off. Make sure the downstairs gas fireplace is on.
Make sure all windows and doors are locked and closed.
DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND, throw out all food.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Must sign rental agreement Must do departure procedures upon check out Take out trash, clean dishes, put furniture back where you found it.
Dinner parties are events if you go over the 14 rule guest count. Provide photo Id and selfie, match the name of the booking guest and Credit C
Guests at the rental: We do not allow anyone on the property other than our guests. If you would like a visitor Please reach out prior to booking.

Our family loved feeding the animals apples and watching the deer. The game room, pool and hot tub gave everyone something to do. A beautiful home with lots of space for big families.

This was a stay-cation for 14 guests. Communication with the host was excellent. Plenty of bath linens and pool towels. Kitchen had plenty of coffee supplies and spices. The indoor pool, hot tub, and pool table were highlights, but being able to interact with the rescue animals was awesome! The large dining room table was perfect to eat as a group and play games.

We had family to the Big House recently and we had a great time. While the kids loved the pool, game room and everyone enjoyed the hot tub, the friendly farm animals surrounding the house were clearly the hit. My family travels every year to Gettysburg and it’s going to be difficult wanting to stay anywhere else! Perfect for large groups looking for a beautiful location that is comfortable and unique! Perfectly located to visit Gettysburg and all that it offers. My teen girls loved the entertainment room and spent a lot of their time playing games and singing karaoke. The hot tub and pool were great for evening swims and relaxation. Every animal we encountered was so friendly. We will definitely try to come back!

This house was amazing! The pool was such a fun activity to have right on hand. Ots super clean and added bonus its warm! The house is fully srocked with everything you need for cooking, playing and enjoying your stay! Very close to a lot of fun activities, coffee shops, restaurants, ect. The fame animals were a great addition. It was so fin to see them out of the windows in the bedrooms. They also have treats you can give fo them, they are all super friendly. Beautiful and private property, the owner was very reaponsive and helpful when needed. Highly recommend this location and would stay again!

Everything fulfilled our needs for an enjoyable family get together vacation of 6 adults and 7 kids. Kitchen with everything and grill for eat in breakfast and dinners. The house, grounds, location, & amenities were beautiful & as advertised. We enjoyed a relaxing family gathering while having plenty of games & activities to do as well. The animals & ability to feed them was a great bonus. Elizabeth was accessible and answered questions promptly as needed(although there wasn’t many). The information binder upon arrival was very helpful. My kids suggested updating the animal pics as there was a second cat (not pictured in the book)that they wanted to know his name. Definitely a great spot, well maintained, & helpful hosts.
