It’s the ultimate spot to enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a drink after a day of exploring. Depending on the season, you can pick a fresh peach from the tree, grab a handful of red raspberries from the abundant bushes, or harvest ripe grapes in October. The garden is beautifully alive with blooming irises, Lily of the Valley, lilac bushes, and grapevines.
Dogs: I recently changed the listing to not allow dogs due to the number of issues and incidents over the past two years. If you would like to bring a dog, reach out to me with information about your pet and your request. I will then add the pet fee to your booking ($75.00).

About the host
Hosted by Bethney
Hello! I am an Upper Peninsula native, having grown up in the neighboring town of Negaunee. After college, I lived in Arizona for a few years and loved the Spanish-style architecture there. I have lived in Marquette for the past 25+ years and have owned Lil' Casa for just about as long! Lil' Casa was a stucco-sided house and as close as I could get to having a bit of Arizona in Marquette! Unfortunately, stucco is hard to maintain in the UP, and in 2026, I had the house sided, but was able to keep the 'castle-like' structure. Here in Marquette, I am a professor at NMU and active in the community. I love getting out on the trails in the summer and downhill skiing at Marquette Mountain in the winter. I know the area very well, so please feel free to ask any questions!
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is a quiet, family-friendly area. The backyard is spacious and relaxing with many plants. In June, there is rhubarb, in July and August, there are raspberries and peaches. My favorite is that at times, you can hear activities like football games and the band at the local high school.
What makes this property unique
The proximity to the bike path provides access to all areas of Marquette. Leave your car at the house and enjoy a bike ride, walk, or run. The path will take you to the lake, the farmer's market, downtown restaurants, and breweries. and just about anywhere you want to explore.
