One of Folly's Best! Stilted Views is a private 3 bedroom 2 bath home that sleeps up to 6 people. This classic Folly home is located on a marsh-front lot with a crabbing/kayaking dock in back and the beach across the street. It is less than a mile from outstanding surfing at the Washout. Enjoy the amazing sunsets from the multilevel private deck private dock or from the primary bedroom. The beach is across the street less than a five-minute walk to public access. This home features a spacious primary suite with a king bed and en suite bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has a king bed and the 3rd bedroom has a queen sized bed. The house has an open floor plan with a large dining table that easily seats 6 and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking wonderful meals. There are front and back decks with outdoor dining on both. A screen porch in back has incredible 360 views of the marsh, Morris Island lighthouse, Long Island River Lighthouse, Creek the Charleston Harbor, and the most amazing sunsets you've ever seen. You will find a large open backyard with a private dock for crabbing, launching your kayak, or just watching the sunset and marsh wildlife. Numerous amenities include cable TV, three HD TVs, and high-speed internet. The location at Folly's NE end means sparsely populated lush beaches and outstanding surfing and surfcasting. You're a short walk or bike ride from the NE end of the island with up-close views of the famous Morris Island lighthouse. A short bike ride in the other direction puts you right at the restaurants, shops, and bars along Center Street and the Folly Pier. You can also go by the iconic 24/7 Bert's Market for some organic vegetables, a bottle of wine, or a growler of one of your favorite micro-brews. Downtown Charleston is a short 30-minute drive in the car making Stilted Views the perfect location for visitors looking to experience a little bit of everything Charleston and the South Carolina coast have to offer.

Beautiful views

Loved our stay at Folly in the Stilted Views! The evening sunsets were beautiful from the top deck… the kitchen was fully stocked with anything needed for cooking, the beds were comfy & the walk to the beach access was very short. Also really enjoyed the dock on the marsh, we caught some nice blue crabs in our crab basket! Hope to visit again soon!

Fantastic Folly

The perfect spot to stay at Folly Beach !!!! This house is outstanding. Great location beach access is a short walk across the street and a little bit further walk and you can walk the beach to Morris Lighthouse. Sitting on the roof is awesome with a great view of the marsh or looking across the street to see the ocean. Really enjoyed sitting in the screened in back porch rocking in the chair checking out the marsh. Neighborhood is beautiful and quit. Very relaxing hanging out on the dock in the back yard. Loved every minute of my stay at Stilted Views!!!!

Good and not so good

It was damp and cold in the house despite the thermostat saying it was 72. There were biting gnats or sand fleas in the front yard. Even though we were close to the beach low tide was really the only time you had a beach to walk on. We never really settled in because of these things. Not sure if was the weather or us but Folly Beach is not for us. It’s a nice beach house and certainly well equipped. Thank you for your hospitality.

No water and local agent was no help.

House was without water for over 2 days due to cold weather. Heat strips on exposed pipes were spliced, and one of the strips did not work, so everything froze. Called local agent, and they did absolutely nothing. House could not be lived in, so we stayed one night with relatives, and VRBO paid for hotel for second night. I would avoid anything managed by Folly's Best.

Some what disappointed

To be honest we loved the location but there were a considerable amount of issues with the house. The property was littered with downed dead branches from the neighboring property and different types of trash around the property. The lower level of the home where you park was very unorganized also different types of trash laying around there was a dead blue crab on the stairs going to the upper floor. There was also raised nails all over the top deck my small dog caught his paw on one of them. The inside was nice but a big issue with ants and roaches. I really expected a lot better for the price and previous reviews. Also me and my wife left the home cleaner when we left dust was a big issue. My wife cleaned everything, we left it like we keep our own home very ckean.

Beautiful location and a unique house

Our family had a great time visiting Folly Beach and staying at this property. Short walk to the beach, although there is no longer public access directly across the street since a home is being constructed there. The multiple decks on the house were awesome, and we also enjoyed hanging out/crabbing on the back dock. This property is dog friendly, but our dog passed away right before we arrived but she would have loved it. Would recommend this home for a stay at Folly Beach!

Nice house but beach access has changed

This house was roomy and comfortable for our family, and we enjoyed the roof deck as well as the nice view out back. We had a problem at check-in, and they sent someone out promptly to fix it. But the beach access was not as described -- there is ongoing construction across the street, so the view in "photo 2" of the listing is actually a construction site with dumpster, heavy equipment, etc. Beach access is not directly across the street, but down the road. We contacted the rental company about this after our stay, but did not receive a response. Except for this issue, we enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay. The location was perfect. We rented a golf cart even though we had a vehicle which made access to the island perfect. The views from every deck were gorgeous. Nothing blocked it. The house itself is not upscale which was exactly what we where looking for, I think is a great representation of the island. I would definitely stay here again and again.

Best stay on Folly in 10 years

My wife and I have stayed at many different rental properties on Folly over the past 10 years with the ultimate goal of finding the perfect spot for a great getaway for 6 people or less, and I think we’ve finally got the one. This rental property is even better than advertised! All of the views are nothing short of perfect! Not to mention such short walks to beach access, views of Morris Island lighthouse, and the early morning surf traffic made for an incredible stay. Top that with all the amazing different dining experiences to be had in Charleston from starting our day at The Lost Dog, bar hopping on Folly at Taco Boy and Rita’s (to name a couple of our favorites), casual dinners at Bowen’s Island, and amazing cuisine in downtown Charleston at S.N.O.B. and High Cotton, this is the ultimate low country coastal experience! We’re so excited to book our next stay here, and may even have to add an extra vacation to the budget this year just so we can revisit this perfect rental!

Stilted Views is a beautiful home with the best location on Folly Beach! Super quiet with amazing views from the many porches! The floor plan of the house is brilliant for each room to have views and all the amenities one could think of! The beach access is directly across the street and it is a quiet, less occupied end of Folly. The Washout is so fun to catch surfers riding waves, sunset is amazing and quiet mornings for enjoying the sunrise! beautiful walk to town on the beach and back! LOVED this house! Will definitely be renting again in the future! BEST beginning to 2022 I could imagine🤩 Thank you or sharing your gem with us❤️
