Stunning Maine cabin on Boyden Lake

Nestled along the shores of Boyden Lake in Perry, Maine, Cranberry Cabin has been in our family since the last 1960s. Cranberry has 3 bedrooms and offers stunning views of eagles soaring, Loons swimming and a gorgeous lake perfect for swimming and boating. "Little Cranberry" bunkhouse, with 2 twin beds, a ceiling fan and mini fridge is located just within steps of the cabin for teens looking for a more "private" hangout from the parents. Our cabin boasts a lovely gas fireplace and a charming knotty pine interior all on one level. Begin each day with coffee on the deck & end each day with a BBQ & amazing sunset. Cranberry offers a homey feel where friends and family can truly disconnect from the world and enjoy the pure bliss of nature. Our cabin has (2) river stone fireplaces, a gas grill (propane provided), a hot-water outdoor shower over looking the lake, outdoor seating, several watercraft including canoes, kayaks, and a paddle-boat. We have some varied size life jackets available in the shed near the boat rack.

Boyden Lake has a public boat launch at the west end of the lake. Feel free to bring your boat to the cabin and tie it up to our dock. Boyden features some fantastic fishing!

MAXIMUM OF 6 Guests in total, Little Cranberry is an extra space to “hang out” and does not add to the maximum number of guests we allow.

$200 refundable pet deposit - 2 dog max

Please leave the cabin as you find it. We ask that our guests clean up and tidy the cabin, remove all food from the refrigerator and dispose of all trash in the dumpster located down the dirt road before you depart.

Peaceful retreat

House and location was perfect to get away from the world for awhile. The house was clean and comfortable with every convenience u would want at a lake house. Fishing and the boats were awesome. Caretaker checked in to make sure all was good and was super friendly. Had a wonderful time and will be coming back…again!!

Great lakefront location

Enjoyed our stay at Cranberry Cabin. The property was well equipped, cozy and private. Plenty of kayaks and canoes, plus a paddleboat. The sunrise and sunset views from the lakefront room (and master BR) were incredible. Cabin is a bit outdated, but that contributes to it's charm.

Perfect summer getaway!

This rental is an amazing find! The house is situated on a beautiful lake with spectacular views, both indoors and outdoors. Rooms are specious, amenities are plentiful, many kayaks and canoes to choose from. Our daughter especially enjoyed the paddle boat. Both the owner and the property manager were helpful and easy to reach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return!

Our family had a fantastic time at the cabin! Booking was easy, communication was great and the cabin was charming, clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed and more! The lake was lovely and refreshing without being too cold, and so quiet we felt like we had the whole thing to ourselves most of the time! The weather was perfect and we enjoyed swimming, kayaking and fishing every day and then grilling and visiting Polar Treat for ice cream almost every night. There was plenty of room for our party of 6 (and two dogs) and our teen enjoyed having his own space in Little Cranberry! The only thing I could suggest is a mattress topper for the master bed which was a little firmer than we like - but such a minor detail! The cabin is truly a beautiful and special place - thanks so much for sharing it with us!

We stated visiting Cranberry in 2003, this year marked the 20 year anniversary of our first visit to the cottage. The lake gave us all it had to offer last week, and it was a joy to watch our kids take in the fun. Cranberry continues to meet all of our needs as it has for many years. Thank you for sharing this little slice of heaven with us!

Best vacation ever!

The cottage was very charming & well stocked. The layout was perfect for individual privacy yet great for family time too. The kids stayed in the Little Cranberry every night. The lake room in the back is comfortable & offers a beautiful view of the lake. We ate most meals on the deck overlooking the lake. The dock & swim platform were used daily by the kids & dogs. Locally, we visited Eastport & Lubec. The location of the cottage is very private & there is a general store about 4 miles away. The only thing we didn’t get to try was the Shofar Brick oven pizza. It is sold out of a food truck parked at Perry’s Corner on Wednesday & Thursday from 4-7.

Authentic Maine Lake Experience

Cranberry is an amazing Lake House with all the amenities you could want or ask for. The hosts and caretaker made sure we had everything we needed during our stay including making sure we were up to date on the conditions leading up to Hurricane Lee. They even offered us a full refund if we decided not to come last minute. The house is amazing and even had an additional living room not pictured in the listing. The place made us feel we were off the grid without actually being off the grid as there was every comfort and convenience available. The kitchen is well stocked and the living space is more than enough for a family to spread out and enjoy some reading, board games, or just conversation without being on top of each other. The outdoor space is amazing with multiple decks and fire pits to enjoy. The lake is gorgeous and great for fishing or utilizing one of the many watercrafts available with the rental. Peaceful and quiet retreat

Cranberry cabin is amazing! Cozy cabin in the most beautiful setting. The decks are wonderful to sit on and listen the the lake and loons. If you want to get away to seclusion and relax, this is the perfect place to unwind. So tranquil. Loved using the fireplace in the master bedroom. The property manager is wonderful and replies quickly. Ariel and Frank, thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us. Ariel gave us some great sight seeing suggestions that were wonderful. We now love the Perry, Maine area.

Wonderful Summer Vacation

This was our second trip to Cranberry cabin. My husband, 10 year old and mother stayed for a week with our dog and we had a wonderful time! We canoed and kayaked and enjoyed the dock. My daughter loved the bunkhouse, Little Cranberry. We saw a couple of eagles, loons, a hawk nesting nearby and some geese. We played games and watched movies, and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. This cabin is perfectly situated for day trips to the coast. We went to Quoddy Head and saw the lighthouse and hiked the beautiful cliff trail, and we took a boat tour from Lubek to see the Old Sow whirlpool, and spotted dolphins, seals, a bald Eagle and a minke whale. And we drove to Eastport and enjoyed some shopping. Trips here are never long enough. We can’t wait to visit again!

Great, clean cabin . Owners communicated promptly. Very well stocked with firewood and cooking utensils. Great deck all the goodies, paddle boat, canoes, kayaks. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Nice quiet get away.

When contemplating my review, I selfishly wanted to leave out all the great aspects of this property to ensure it wouldn't become booked in the future when my family may want to rent again. Cranberry is a very quiet, clean, and cozy cabin nestled into the woods right on the shore of the lake. There were all the necessary amenities to make our stay very comfortable. The outdoor space has plenty of room in the shade or sun, on the deck, or the lawn. There is a beautiful, clean, sandy area for swimming, and the views from the shore are awesome. The cabin is located within reasonable travel distance of shopping, dining, and the Atlantic coastline. We will definitely conder spending time here again in the future. It was a great week for us.

A quiet retreat

We were looking for a quiet retreat and we found it. Cranberry Cabin has a unique layout and we loved the family history. We’re not very active people but it’s a great place if you’re looking for outdoor activities. You can swim off the private dock or use the kayaks. Speaking of privacy, there are only neighbors on one side so it was very quiet for us. The view is spectacular with beautiful sunsets over the lake. We had a wonderful week.

Staycation 2020

Our stay at Cranberry was so relaxing! The location is perfect and the water is pristine. The cabin has everything you could imagine you may need...pots, pans, board games, etc. Cranberry was very accommodating, plenty of room for the family and friends. Sitting on the deck in the evening listening to the loons was very nice. Property manager, Nancy was very nice to deal...very accommodating. Couple of days into our stay a hurricane came through the area and Nancy called one evening to make sure we were okay and everything was fine at the cabin. If anyone is looking for a quiet place to relax for a week then Cranberry Cabin is the place for you!

Cranberry Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cranberry Cabin. The lake is beautiful, the cabin was perfect for us and had virtually everything we needed. Aside from towels and linens. The only thing we needed was more time to enjoy it! We paddled in the paddle boat and kayaks and swam off the dock to the swim platform. We didn’t get a chance to take the canoes out or use the fireplace, but we played lots of games and read books from the collection on hand, and used the kitchen every day and fired up the grill. We even picked fresh blueberries right from the deck. We loved it!

We are Jon and Ariel. Our family has owned Cranberry since the mid 1960's. This cabin has been passed down through the generations and continues to be loved and cherished. We reside in Connecticut and enjoy traveling.

Why they chose this property

In the 1960's my grandfather purchased Cranberry. I spent my childhood summers with family at our lakeside cabin. This place holds a lifetime of memories for me and is truly a spot where you can feel disconnected from the the pressures and stresses of everyday life.

What makes this property unique

Cranberry is rustic but offers amenities such as wifi, a full kitchen, lots of comfortable seating for families to gather and reconnect. Amazing views of the lake from the back deck where you can listen to the loons or see the local eagles soar overhead.
