House has 3 levels, main bedroom downstairs, loft upstairs. If you have a small older dog might want to consider a pet gate as our pug fell down the stairs twice. Living room furniture was quite hard and uncomfortable, husband left with back pain. King bed comfy. Overall good stay! back pain
The cabin was nothing short of amazing, it was just as subscribed. Road to the cabin is very steep and scraped the bottom on my car every time you went up or down the road. Overall it was a great experience
The cabin was awesome! Great views and perfect amenities. Loved the hot tub too. The location was perfect...close enough to local attractions, but not too close. We definitely recommend staying at Mountain Dew!
Property just as nice as described! Perfect location and property for our getaway! Owners communication was superb! Easy check in and check out with no issues! Would stay again without hesitation!
The only reason a 4 and not a 5 is that the final road to the cabin is rather harrowing: vertical, narrow and with potholes. However, everything else was excellent: hot tub clean and working, cabin spotless, showers had plenty of pressure and hot water, and check in and out was easy. More: most cabins will have a narrrow road. Just get the potholes fixed. Cabin still highly recommended
This was a very cute cabin not to far from PF but far enough from the hustle n bustle. We stayed in for 2 days because of the weather which was perfectly fine. We grilled out and relaxed. The other days we were in and out. We really enjoyed our time here..
Beautiful cabin and scenery - takes a while to reach town or get back.
Driveway for the cabin is in a very deep decline/rise on one side. One entry/exit.
Fireplace wouldn’t come on. Owner didn’t answer text to say if it was broken. Otherwise, nice cabin.
The cabin was awesome really enjoyed the cabin and location only problem we had was new construction behind us worked fri night with saws and hammers going till 930 at night whe. We are porch people enjoying the out doors and sat was non stop chain saws down the street half the day so the noise was a nuisance but we loved the cabin and the atmosphere of it thanks tom
we loved our stay in Mountain Dew! It is very convenient to all the attractions in Pigeon Forge and close to Gatlinburg too.
The cabin was cozy and a great place for kids and pets.
We totally enjoyed our stay there. :)
Quiet location with plenty of space for a family of 5. Easy commute from cabin to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Comfortable beds, good WiFi, patio furniture made for awesome sunrises and wildlife viewing. Living room furniture could use some upgrades and a water softener/better filtration would be a great addition. The arcade game was a hit with the kids. We will definitely be staying at “Mountain Dew” again.

Cozy cabin in the mountains yet close to everything!
This cabin was perfect. It was clean and neat and had everything we needed. Very close to Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. it was nestled up in the mountains and was so quaint and quiet. There are other cabins around but far enough away where it is very private. If this cabin is available and big enough for you, book it! The loft bedroom, main floor and master on the low level is set up perfect. We loved it!

A few small problems
The water to the cabin is a deep well and has very little pressue, has an odor
The drive when you pull into the lane has huge pot holes and could really damage your car if not careful, needs repaired
Toilet seat in bottom bathroom is very loose , and very bad internet and furniture in living room is very poor😔
Our annual Christmas trip this year was at Mountain Dew. Overall we enjoyed our stay but after staying in many others over the years we feel the two things we’d suggest would be a cleaner hot tub. The water was green so we didn’t use it. And the living room furniture needs a desperate upgrade. It was very uncomfortable. It was a rainy weekend so we stayed in more and so it (the furniture) seems to be very old.
The kitchen was good, the bedrooms were lovely and the beds quite comfy!
We also liked the area and we got to see a bear!

In the spirit of constructive review. This property is definitely good value for the money. Very cozy scenary and nice location up on the mtn. Few things to point out in reference to other reviews and personal experience:
1. Cleanliness, mostly clean some stickiness on the dining table, we just had to wipe it again.
2. Maintenance: fridge did have a small leak, we had to place a pot inside and reported to the owner.
3. Smelly water - yes, very smelly, but not in the spa, the spa was usable. Had to buy water in the store to brush our teeth. Really recommend the owner to find a way to fix it.
4. There is NO DISHWASHER - so with smelly water, having to wash these dishes gets tough.
Didn't deduct stars for water bc it maybe a standard problem for this location, we didn't see that on the pigeon forge side. The cleanliness and maintenance does seem to be a minor issue the owner can resolve.
Thanks for having us!

Property owner lives close by and visita property when you're away.
House was a bit dated, but clean. Bed comfortable. Great porches. Living room furniture was terribly uncomfortable, to the point we brought our camping chairs inside. Showers had great water pressure, which was wonderful. Main living area very small. 3 cars parking max. Room for 1 air matress, if needed.
We intended to board our golden retriever upon arriving in town, but experienced issues and were unable to. Knowing this was a pet friendly home, we opted to take him to the cabin, where he remained outside. Midway thru our stay, we received a strong worded message from the owner about the dog bowl and pet waste outside in the grass. We apologized and agreed to the pet fee, paid immediately. Of course, all waste was cleaned (we wouldnt have left it, but were waiting for the we end of the stay).
Owner claimed to have visited property while we were gone to check on outdoor plants due to hard freeze. The only plants were permanently planted knockout roses at the driveway and it seems highly unlikely that this was a valid excuse and there was no frost. I happily paid additional pet fee. That was no problem. However, i was very disturbed to find out that the home was possibly entered or visited without my prior knowledge. It was creepy! If my husband hadnt been with me, i would have lodged a complaint with VRBO and left immediately, with law enforcement escort to pack my belongings.
Owners actions should be a cause for concern for any future renters. Beware.

Spider webs all over inside
Walked into lots of spiderwebs inside, found dead bugs on furniture, cobwebs inside that had been there a long time, also on the outside chairs, sofa bed in pictures isnt there, its a futon that the springs sqeak, daughter couldn't sleep on it, i contacted the owners with my concerns, 4 hours later i spoke with him, they tried to help with blankets and towels, and a broom to take down cobwebs, i told him about cobwebs and walking into spiderwebs but he didn't seem to care much, just felt like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile, i realize its a cabin in the woods but should have been cleaned better before we arrived, the grill was so rusty didn't want to eat food off it so we bought a small portable one. Yes we could have cleaned it but after seeing all that rust we didn't want to use it.
