Impressed by how clean the property looked on arrival. Loved the outdoor shower area and a well equipped outdoor lounge/dining area. My friend who loves cooking was able to find everything she needed to make our evening meal (a rare treat)- great set up for dining in! Beds comfortable, good parking.
My daughter and I had a very relaxing weekend stay. It was very clean, welcoming and the kitchen was very well equipped. Communication with Joe our host was easy and prompt. It was close to the beach. It was quiet, the garden, back deck and backyard were well kept, inviting, and calming adding to our enjoyable experience.
Clean and basic accomodation, kitchen equipped, didn’t use outside BBQ area as unfortunately it was too cold weather . No fire pit as shown in photos. Host Joe was quick to answer any questions.
This was such a lovely place for our family to stay & was very clean & well kit out with everything we could possibly need. The amazing backyard play space kept our children aged 2-7 happy & busy.
We booked this accommodation for a family members wedding around the corner. The location of this was great, short walk to the beach and the path that leads right into the pain town area which has lots of food options. The house was nicely set up for a large family, clean with a freat backyard and entertaining deck. There was no WiFi, and there was no condiments or items you would generally find in a short term rental, this is definitely a long term rental where you bring everything yourself which isn't a bad thing but just something to note. We had a great time and highly recommend for families.
What a lovely stay we had at Joe's Ryegowrie home. Perfectly positioned in Rye on the border of Blairgowrie. If you have kids this place is the perfect getaway. Our 5 and 7 year old were entertained by the play equipment in the backyard while adults relaxed on the back deck. On a rainy day the kids enjoyed boardgames, the foosball table & DVD's. The double bunk beds were a hit, with no fights needed over who got the top bunk - they both did. The other 2 bedrooms were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with basic essentials which was helpful. Overall a very enjoyable stay which we would recommend and visit again

Realistic review
We stayed at this property over the weekend and, while there were some positive aspects, there were also a few areas that could be improved. The property itself was okay, but we found it to be a bit overpriced for what we expected, especially with young children in tow. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable mould smell, and the mattresses were quite uncomfortable, leading to poor sleep for us. Additionally, the metal bunk beds in one of the rooms were very squeaky, and any movement on the top bunk woke up the person below, which made it difficult for our children to get a good night's rest.We also noticed a fair amount of dog hair on the couch, which was a bit off-putting. The two Border Collie dogs next door barked quite frequently, which made it challenging to settle our children, especially combined with the noise from the squeaky beds. One issue we encountered was with the bathroom. After our kids used the bath, the water backed up through the shower drain and blocked the bathroom sink, preventing the water from draining for quite some time.Another concern was the dishwasher, which had an unpleasant odor, similar to rotten fish, making it unusable due to the smell when the door was opened. On a positive note, the backyard was spacious and provided a great space for our children to play. However, the street is quite hilly, which made biking with young kids a bit difficult. While we appreciate the property's potential, we hope future guests have a better experience.
Very family friendly house. Everything was spotless and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Beds are comfortable. The deck is huge, and backyard is a wonderful, secure place for the kids to play. We had a great time, and would be happy to stay again.
We absolutely loved our stay. The home had everything you could need on a holiday and was perfect for our little family. Great location being 5 minutes walk to a child friendly beach. Shops are also a short drive away. Location was peaceful. Host was great allowing us to check in earlier and leave a little later which was fantastic!
We were really pleased with the house especially the backyard which was fully equipped to entertain our small kids. The house was very clean when we arrived and had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend away.
Joe’s place was lovely. We had such a great time. It was exactly as described if not better. A leisurely 25-30 min stroll to the Blairgowrie shops with young children and only a few minutes walk to the beach.
We had a great time! Joe’s place had everything we needed, including plenty of space, toys and equipment for the kids to play while we were able to relax on the deck.
We had a lovely stay here in Rye/Blairgowrie. This 3 bedroom property is close enough to the WhiteCliffs/Tyrone beach to walk. It’s a beautiful stretch of beach and also an easy 2km walk to either Rye or Blairgowrie. 6 minute drive to some beautiful Blairgowrie back beaches with rock pools and plenty to explore. Fantastic playground for kids and a big yard. Loved the outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Nice deck for eating meals.
We rented the house for 2 weeks over Christmas and New year. We had a great time. The house is 5 minutes walking distance from the beach, garden is massive for kids, deck is very handy too. The outside bath is cool too, handy to rinse after a sea bath. Inside the house has all (except dishwasher but we knew about). It was a very nice time in the house overall. We recommend it to new comers.
Great house with nice large deck and yard. Kitchen well equipped and good location to beach. Exactly as described in listing. Prompt and easy correspondence with owner. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Lovely house, very family friendly and great backyard for kids to play and parents to relax. Kitchen is extremely well equiped and location was brilliant for the kids to walk to the front beach. We loved our time here and would stay again!
