Perfect position! Only minutes walk from the hub of the main shopping precinct and Lake Daylesford you may not need to get into your car once arriving at Kookaburra cottage.

You will find a gorgeous two bedroom cottage which has everything you require to enjoy a relaxing time away.

Bedroom One - Bedding can be a King bed or two king single beds

Bedroom Two - Bedding can be a King Bed or two king singles

Curl up on the comfy couches and enjoy a glass of wine by the open fire. The cottage also has a ducted heating system as well as reverse cycle air conditioning/heating which ensures your comfort all year round.

Enjoy listen to music on the Bluetooth stereo system or you may prefer to watch a movie.


An undercover outdoor deck area means that when the weather permits you can sit outside, enjoy a drink whilst looking out at the picturesque garden.

The cottage has a yard and is pet friendly so your furry friend doesn't have to get left behind when you go away.

The big backyard also caters for children who might like to kick a ball or play outdoors. There is a huge park next door to the cottage which has children's play equipment as well as a skate park.

Kookaburra cottage is for the sole use of paying guests (maximum four people).

The price displayed is a ‘from’ price based on two people sharing one bedroom.

If you are just a group of two but wish to have both bedrooms please advise so and an additional cost will be advised , otherwise the above will be assumed.

Both bedrooms have king sized beds with crisp white linen. If you prefer four single beds For your group we can also suit these requirements.

Slightly misleading.We were 2 travellers, not a couple, staying in this 2 bedroom cottage. Missed that we needed to 'choose one room' to sleep in even though both beds were made up. Suggest that host locks one bedroom door or not advertise as a 2 bedroom, we assumed we had full access to the house.Otherwise great location, heater worked great.

Hi Lucy, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, and I’m pleased you enjoyed Kookaburra Cottage’s location and were nice and cosy with the heating. I’m sorry there was some confusion regarding the bedroom arrangement. We certainly never want any guest to feel that our pricing is misleading. Our listing explains that the advertised “from” price is based on two guests sharing one bedroom, with an additional charge if two guests require both bedrooms. We do this simply to keep the price lower for couples or two guests who only require one room, rather than building the cost of additional linen and servicing into every stay. I also try to make this clear personally in the check-in information. For your stay, I advised that I had made up both bedrooms so you could choose whichever room you preferred. We deliberately don’t lock the second bedroom, as different guests prefer different rooms and I would much rather give our guests the choice of where they would like to sleep. That said, I appreciate your feedback and will take another look at the wording to see if we can make the arrangement even clearer for future guests. Thank you again for staying with us, Lucy, and I hope you otherwise had a lovely time in Daylesford. Warm regards, Annie

Annie was an excellent host who was very responsive to any communication. The prop was in fabulous location and very comfortable for the 4 of us (and doggo)! The ducted heating was amazing especially given how cold it was in Daylesford overnight! Definitely recommended.

10/10 for Annie’s place. We arrived to a beautifully warm house and the heating kept us toasty all weekend long. We also brought some wood to take advantage of the open fire place. Beds were so comfortable and we have everything that we could need for our stay. We were also walking distance to restaurants, cafes and shopping which was a real bonus not having to move the car during our stay. Thanks for having us Annie.

We had a wonderful stay, the home was warm & cosy from the moment we got there, communication with Annie was so prompt from start to end, thanks Annie for being such a great host. The yard was fully fenced & secure for our furbaby & it was also a hit with the frizby & ball, Ajay had so much fun! This quaint little cottage was perfect in every way. From the moment we entered the cottage we felt cosy and very happy with our choice. The warmth of the cottage, appropriate size for the three of us, the decore and how clean it was made us smile fom ear to ear. It's location was just perfect, we could walk into the center of the city with ease. The communication with the owner was most pleasing and Annie made sure our every need was catered for. I can't wait to go back again and I will be making another booking very soon. We lo Ed Kookaburra Cottage!

This is our second stay with Annie, we always feel so welcome. Check in is such a breeze, the cleaning is of such a high standard. The home has everything you need to cook, relax, have a fire and enjoy the local area. Loads of blankets and great heating so you are never cold. We stayed with our little dog and the backyard is very secure and great space to play ball. Can’t wait to come back.
