We received the original and the renewals of the highly sought after short term vacation rental seal of approval/certificate from the County of Hawaii meeting all their stringent requirements. When you rent our home you receive the entire home guaranteeing privacy for you and your family or friends. The Lanai/ Patio and home was designed and layed out for complete privacy. You are staying on the ocean. The ocean is your backyard with this house's location. We ask that prospective guests simply read the reviews from our previous guests both on this website and other rental platforms to get an honest true description of what makes our place so special !

This absolute Ocean Front Home it is not situated on a sea cliff but is just a few feet above sea level on sheltered PaPa Bay. Because of this lots unique topography and elevation you are just above the water line and a few steps from walking to the water. Additionally a minute walk away is a public access point in the Bay which the neighbourhood uses to safely go into the water. Please refer to our pictures for a better appreciation of our location on the Ocean. Aside from the superb ocean location and access this house affords, it is a fairly new concrete home designed to meet and surpass all the latest safety and building codes. It is a 2 Bedroom home with the Master Bedroom having an oversized King sized California Bed. This room has a 12 foot wide glass sliding door directly facing the Ocean. The second bedroom has a queen bed. This 2nd bedroom room has a large 6 foot by 4 foot window for views of the Ocean also. In addition it has another 6 foot x 2 foot window for mountain views. The house has 7 separate sliding glass doors which capitalize on it's stunning ocean views. Appliances are all brand new.. The cabinets in the kitchen were custom designed and built for the home. Finally the best way to describe our home is to simply let our previous guests who have stayed there do it for us. It has been almost 7 years since we built the home brand new and have we have been renting it. We have had numerous guests over the years and everyone so far has been very happy with the home and our communications and tips that we give them. This has made Mindy and I very happy knowing that when we set out on building our dream to make a perfect vacation home , it has been realized based due to the happiness and satisfaction of our past guests.

It’s a perfect place to get away and just relax. it was a Super Safe Neighborhood lots of other families around enjoying the island. The location was great between Kona and Hilo and not a far drive to Black Sand Beach and the Volcano.

Incredible stay! Right on the water. Was able to listen to the waves all night long with the doors open while feeling completely safe. Dan was so kind and informative. He was even willing to help with car problems at 6am so that I could make my flight. The location is perfect if you want a quiet spot away from all the tourist traps while staying in a friendly, safe, and welcoming community. Will be my go to spot when I come back.

Choosing this house to stay was by far the best decision we made for our Hawaii vacation. The host was so nice and gave the most thorough information and advise on visiting his home and the surrounding areas. The home itself was so nice, it was very open with high ceilings and 6 sliding doors that allowed the smell and sounds of the ocean move through the spaces. The poured floor that goes through the whole house is breathtaking. Being right beside the ocean was exactly what we needed to relax. We spent mutiple days hanging at the house and visiting the local beaches/tidepools just down the road. We ended up having the beach areas all to ourselves. I highly recommend this home and the host to anyone who is looking for a unique and memorable Hawaiian adventure.

The pictures do not do this place justice! The house was truly beautiful, had everything we needed, and had amazing oceanfront views! Dan was phenomenal before, during, and after our stay. I cannot recommend this place enough. If we ever come back, we will be staying here again!

No shops nearby, but the peacefulness of the area was wonderful. Had to drive a bit to get to places but then the island is big and you do have to drive more. Saw areas i had never seen before and the beautiful overlooks from Kona Joes and another coffee shop were breathtaking.This house was on the ocean and we had beautiful sunsets every night, so peaceful sitting there by the ocean with the waves, I loved it.Thank you for sharing your home!

Just what we were looking for. If you want to just relax and enjoy staying at a wonderful spot, this is it. Our host was very helpful and gave us good info on close by water and beach access. We brought our kayak with us and enjoyed the ocean without having to go very far. Would definitely stay here again. any real distance from the house.

We have lived part time in Hawaii for the past 27 years and know the Island intimately and its lifestyle. Because of our vast experience with the Big Island, we chose this location for our home.

Why they chose this property

Because we know the Island so well, we took into consideration safe Ocean access, weather, water quality and space away from the "touristy areas" so that our guests could have a true, unique Hawaiian experience. Additionally, our home is located midway between Kona and the resort areas, as well as the Volcano and Puna regions. This cuts down on long drive times during your stay on the Island, going out and back each day.

What makes this property unique

Milolii' is one of the few affordable areas that one can live on the water on the Island. Because of the very limited places, this area is not overcrowded nor the property so expensive that the average vacationer is not able to afford a nightly stay. That is why we are offering such a spectacular stay for a very reasonable nightly rate.
