'The Hut' a Rural Getaway With Views to Die For.
'The Hut' is situated half way between Oberon and O'Connell and just 33 klms from Bathurst and set high on a hill to take in the spectacular views.
It is just around the corner from Mayfield Gardens which has a cafΓ© and beautiful grounds to explore. Slightly further afield of a few klms is the famous Jenolan Caves and Kanangra Walls National Park, Ben Chifley Dam, Vineyards, Oberon Dam ( great fishing), Oberon Golf Course,The Fish River and many scenic picnic spots and the State Forest great for dirt bike riding , mushrooming and walks.
We are amidst lots of great Pubs and Cafes, the closest being 5 minutes away .
It is a fully self contained 2 bedroom house on 2 acres with panoramic views back to the O'Connell valley and beyond to Bathurst .
The 'Hut" itself is recently renovated with all modern features
The 'Hut' comprises of 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds, (all linen supplied), a lounge with a slow combustion fire and the dining area off the kitchen.
All rooms have a view of the stunning countryside.
The kitchen is fully equipped including the necessities of tea and coffee, milk pepper and salt etc.
The bathroom has a shower and toilet with towels supplied.
There is also a BBQ for your convenience .
There is a TV / DVD, stereo, magazines , games all for you to enjoy.

TheHut' is ready for you to relax and enjoy and just chill out in the country atmosphere while absorbing the beautiful views.
Enjoy the abundance of wildlife, kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, birds and the local farm animals.Or just be dazzled by the wonderful display of stars at night .

Beautiful spot. Serene and peaceful. Place very clean. Full kitchen - everything is clean and shower is great. βThe gutβ was what we needed and Stars were beautiful at night. Hosts were so helpful and lovely.

Cosy, homely, so clean & comfortable. Helen had even lit the fire for us before we arrived which was so warm & welcoming. Beautiful views over the valley. A very short, easy drive to Mayfield Hardens. Had a lovely time.

Amazing views!
Fantastic location- close to Bathurst & Oberon. Magical views, great host, warm & comfortable. Will definitely be staying again, highly recommend it to anyone.

Helen was very welcoming, hospitable, approachable and available. Even generously lending us her umbrellas when the weather turned. THE HUT provided a very comfortable, quiet and convenient stay, offering everything we needed. Little touches such as sweet treats, and fresh flowers were really pleasing and appreciated. We enjoyed its great location with beautiful views.

Weekend getaway
Wonderful location and friendly host.
Would highly recommend and look forward to a return visit and maybe some snow next time.

We had a lovely time at the Hut. It was peaceful and quiet, surrounded by nature, and had everything we needed.

Perfect getaway
My family and I stayed at the Hut and it was the most charming place! Iβd definitely come back and I recommend the Hut to anyone who is looking for a cozy and warm spot π
