A beautiful property, with lots of character and beautifully furnished. Very welcoming for our dog too. A great place to do some drawing or painting from within the growns especially with old church next door
Fully equipped kitchen, all bathroom items supplied, timber stacked and ready to start both the inside/outside fireplaces. Comfortable luxurious bedding, huge family area and lots of outdoor seating. A stunning property.

This is a truly wonderful place, peaceful, comfortable, stylish, historical….and in beautiful country. As others have said, Stephanie is an exceptional host, even welcoming us with hot cross buns. Can’t recommend it highly enough and will return if I can.
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the Convent. The beautifully styled interiors created a calm, homely atmosphere, and we really appreciated the delicious freshly made biccies and thoughtful pantry staples. The location was also ideal—just a short drive to Mayfield Gardens and within walking distance of the O'Connell Hotel. We highly recommend the Convent for groups looking for a comfortable and memorable getaway.
We had a wonderful weekend at The Covent with our family. House was amazing, beautifully appointed, very comfortable beds, great space for living and top marks to our host making an easy arrival and departure process. Kitchen fully equipped, breakfast provided including some home made treats. Very cosy with the lovely fireplace. Very private. I would highly recommend this property. Our hosts incredibly helpful and ensured we had everything we needed.
The Old Covent has been lovingly converted into a fantastic place to stay. Every comfort has been thought of, and by allowing a pet ment that my young daughter could have her beloved corgi with us.

So glad you all had a lovely time together as a family....was certainly a winters weekend. You will have to come in spring or autumn to experience the best of the colour in the gardens . Thank you 🙏
This property is fabulous in every way.
The furnishings are very well appointed and apt for the Convent .The beds are so comfy and bedlinen very smart. Great dining table indoors , outdoor seating on the verandah and a garden setting as well. Beautiful garden and a stroll through the adjoining gravesite gives one a sense of the history of the area. The pub is a quick walk down the road .
Perfect . We will be back. Thank you Stephanie and Peter
The Convent is a gorgeous, charming, spacious home that has been thoughtfully designed for comfort and enjoyment. It has everything you may need. It’s so lovely that we all really looked forward to coming back to the house at the end of each days outing! The fireplace in the living area and the fire pit outside were a special attraction for both the adults and the kids. The location is the icing on the cake. Rural yet 20mins from Bathurst and close to other places we wanted to visit such as Jenolan Caves and Mayfield Garden. The coffee shop across the road and the pub about 250m away we’re also very convenient aspects to this property. A very enjoyable and memorable getaway for all of us.
Our stay at The Convent was wonderful. Each room is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked and has all the equipment you could need. A peaceful and relaxing location. The house and gardens are immaculate. Thank you!
Is a beautiful property. Enjoyed our stay. Loved the fireplace and comfy beds. A heads up water and electricity were being cut off on Monday morning would have been nice. Otherwise great property.

Why they chose this property
I feel in love with the region many years ago. I love we have true seasons and each one brings new things to love and delight in, whether it be the brilliance of the autumn leaves, the ripe fruit tempting you to pluck it right off the branch while relaxing with a book underneath the canopies of the trees or perhaps it's because of the perfect distance to everything you might ever need
What makes this property unique
Not many have their own historic cemetery! Ability to delight young or old in a safe and confidential space. It may be the open fire or the fire put....
