This modern luxury apartment, finished in 2006, comprises 3 separate bedrooms: one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one bunk room, and is ideal for 6 people. There's a large living / dining / kitchen area with access to the partially-covered south-west facing balcony, one bathroom with a bath and shower and one separate WC. There's also a ski locker and an underground private lockable garage for your vehicle or mountain bikes.
Châtel is a traditional Alpine village with a consistently good snow record due to the micro-climate around Mont Blanc and Lac Leman. Châtel is also a major Ski Resort in the vast Portes du Soleil ski area which includes Avoriaz, Morzine and Les Gets. Our apartment is in a quiet location, yet only 150m from the Super-Châtel gondola, and 150m from the resort centre with restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets.
The apartment is well equipped with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, washer/dryer, iron, UK Satellite TV, Radio/CD, and free WiFi internet.
How to find us: IMPORTANT: Snow Tyres or Chains are now mandatory in France from 1 Nov to 31 March. By Plane: Geneva Airport is only 80km away By Train: there are stations at Thonon-les-Bains in France (SNCF), and Trois Torrents, Aigle or Monthey in Switzerland (SBB). Our local manager can arrange transfers on request. By Car: there are two routes into Châtel, either via Thonon-les-Bains in France, or via Monthey in Switzerland. Châtel is around a 50 minute drive from Thonon, and a 30 minute drive from Monthey. Driving from Calais you can usually get to Châtel in around 9 hours. Our suggested route is motorway from Calais to Besançon, Pontarlier, towards Lausanne, Montreux, Monthey, Morgins, and Châtel.

Communication was excellent. Apartment was clean and as described. The location was ideal. A great week skiing even though the weather wasn't too good.
The apartment is a 2 minute walk to the centre of Chatel and the main chair lift.
It’s comfortable and spacious with everything needed for an excellent week long stay
A nice, clean, functional apartment which is well-located for the centre of town and the Super Chatel gondola. It was compact for 6 of us with a small living/kitchen area with dining space realistically for 5 only, but it just meant we spent more time on the slopes!
Was as described. Ideally located with easy access to bus, SuperChatel, restaurants and shops. Located in a quiet area.
Ample room for a family of five. Manager was there to meet us and arranged simple grocery shop for us as we were arriving late.
Would stay again.
The apartment was everything we'd hoped for. Very close to the gondola station and village piste so almost ski in ski out. 5 mins walk to shops and restaurants. The apartment was a good size for six and very clean. Lovely balcony with view over village. The underground parking is great as there is no other free parking nearby. When we return to Chatel we'll try and book again.
Chatel is a really nice ski resort and this apartment is right in the middle of the resort, just around the corner from the super chatel lift and within a short walk to the church where the ski buses are... communication was really good leading up to arrival and during holiday...apartment was clean and comfortable with enough space for our group of 5... kitchen was also well equipped.. I would definitely recommend this property and if I do return to chatel I will definitely look up this apartment again.
Thank you for a fantastic stay. The apartment is perfectly situated being a 2 minute walk from the town centre and the super chatel ski lift. We had 4 adults stay and the apartment was very spacious with a good sized lounge area and a large balcony. The apartment would have happily fitted 6 people if needed. It was everything we needed and we would happily stay here again in future. If anything, we felt the photos undersold the apartment and it was so much more than we were expecting!
Excellent week, fantastic location, easy walk to the Super Chatel ski lift. Central location ideal for eating out and shopping at the nearby bakeries, butchers and the Casino and Sherpa supermarkets.
The Apartment block was quiet with lots of French residents
3 separate bedrooms with doors is a bonus, the two main bedrooms are have a double and 2 single beds respectively . The third bedroom has bunk beds with a really comfortable mattress that is suitable for small adults or children.
We used the Porte Du Soleil pass and skied into Switzerland and onto Avoriaz regularly. Unlike previous years we were not able to ski into Morgins- we had to take the chair lift down into the village and were then meet by a frequent ski bus to take us to the Morgins ski lift. We were able to ski from Avoriaz back to Chatel.
Would definitely recommend the apartment and Chatel.
Skiing in Chatel, the apartment is very close to the Super Chatel Ski lift and has everything we needed for the week. Washing machine was a bonus. The previous group had even left us a spare box of lager on the balcony area .
Despite the lack of snow we had a full week skiing including trips over to Switzerland and Avoriaz. Skiing in the morning was was much better than in the afternoon as snow was quite soft and slushy poor because it was so mild ( it wasn't even freezing over night at altitude). We would catch the first bus from the car park by the church to Pre la Joux if we wanted to go to Avoriaz or Switzerland to get the most out of the morning.
We found some great places to eat out, BistroM on Rte du Linga was our favourite with great French food at reasonable prices.
Heerlijk appartement met groot balkon en drie fijne slaapkamers. 5 minuutjes wandelen naar de lift en bij genoeg sneeuw skieen tot aan ingang. Let op ! De bijbehorende garage is heel fijn maar heeft franse afmetingen dus niet heel handig voor hele grote auto's en een eventuele skibox moet eerst van het dak gehaald worden. De auto kan niet buiten worden geparkeerd.
Uitzicht viel dik tegen. Wel een terras maar uitzicht op zijkant gevel met dak, veel lawaai van ventialtie en verwarmingsschachten die op het dak voor het terras uitkwamen. Skikelder ligt wel op zeer onmogelijke plaats. Zeker als je niet met skibotten door het gebouw mag lopen. Garage was geen optie, daar stond de auto maar poort kon niet dicht daardoor.
L'appartement se situe à quelques minutes à pieds (visible depuis la balcon) d'une location de matériel ainsi que de restaurants et bars.C'était notre deuxième séjour dans cet appartement, la communication avec Andy qui gère cette location est facile.L'appartement est bien équipé et le salon est agréable pour 5 personnes facilement.Je recommande
Appartement tres bien situé,calme ,ensoleille.Cuisine bien équipée.Petit problème electrique,perte de courant dur lumière exterieure,declenchement intempestif.Difficulté de regler le chauffage de la salle de bain,trop chaud et continu
