Authenticity and comfort, free shuttle to the slopes and the center

Quiet apartment, completely renovated, very bright, ideal for skiing!

Exclusivity of the Homeaway group's sites: An apartment entirely renovated in a mountain-friendly style. Only 700 meters from the center of Châtel. Bus stop (Les Grandes Mouilles stop) for the free shuttle allowing you to go to the center and to the ski slopes 50 meters from the apartment. The shuttle will allow you to go skiing at: Super Châtel and Les Portes du Soleil via the Super-Chatel, Petit-Châtel, Le Linga, Pré-la-Joux, Le Gabelou, etc.

* Location of the non-private car park as well as proximity to the covered municipal car park.

From the village, the Super-Châtel gondola takes you to a height of 1650m. Otherwise, a free ski shuttle service serves the entire village and the ski areas. The best equipped place we have stayed

This apartment has everything and more than you could need. Really nice touches and everything thought of. Comfortable beds, nice log fire, plenty of cupboard space which is such a luxury and unusual for a place in a ski resort. The centre is walkable and there is a free bus, getting to the supermarket was a bit of a mission as we did not have a car on this occasion, not detracting from the great apartment at all.

Superbly outfitted and comfortable apartment--great location!

We absolutely loved our time here--the location (about 900m from the center of town, and less than a 15 minute drive to the Pre La Joux lift area) was great, and the apartment was absolutely superb. We are on a long trip and love to cook, so are traveling with a LOT of kitchen gear, but needed none of it here--this apartment has EVERYTHING--loads of cookware, dishes, and kitchen tools, including a high-end fondue set and a very serious raclette grill (the kind for a wheel of cheese). Great views from the sliding glass doors, a great woodburning stove, showers with abundant hot water, washing machine and dryer, and an incredibly functional entry way, with a radiant heat gear dryer and tons of pegs for hanging a whole family's worth of damp ski gear up to dry before the next morning. Highly recommended!

Fantastisch appartment

We hebben een geweldige week gehad in Châtel. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig, je grijpt echt niet mis in de keuken, alles zo compleet en super schoon. Heerlijke bedden, overal rolluiken. En met een groot gezin is een wasmachine en droger zo fijn om te kunnen gebruiken. De skibus stopt op 100 meter.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet appartement.

Le salon / salle à manger et le poêle à bois accompagné de la vie sur la montagne font de cet espace de vie un endroit très agréable dans lequel séjourner. L’appartement est très bien équipé, machine à laver, sèche linge, machine à raclette, fondue .. sérénité assurée A noter que l’appartement est situé à 10 min à pied du centre ville. We are an international family who loves good things. We love our home country but we also love travelling and discovering. We are demanding with the accommodation and when you often go back somewhere, you dream of having your own pied-à-terre. We love comfort and cleanliness, the local charm as well as the decoration, the gastronomy and the many activities. We discovered Châtel thanks to friends from Brussels and we felt so good there that we wanted to have our own base. A 2-bedroom apartment with significant surface area and good orientation and location is pretty rare in the sales market of Châtel. Our apartment had all these assets but was not suitable for today’s requirements. So we fully renovated the apartment: we rebuilt the outside walls with high insulation panels, plumbing and electricity are brand new and there are quality materials that respect the local charm. We worked with local craftsmen and with the inspiration of Spanish friends who live in Brussels and Torino, decoration experts.

Why they chose this property

This small village respects the local tradition but has evolved with its time. It is located in the heart of the largest ski area of Europe, between Switzerland and France, and is easily accessible so you can use it as a base to enjoy a wide choice of trips and activities: 30 min from Montreux and its famous festival, 1 h from Gruyère, the medieval city of Yvoir, swimming in Lake Léman, trip in Italy by its lakes or simply hiking in the mountain that start from the apartment. The village and the region offer a wide choice of gastronomy. We wish we could go every day at Le Fiacre, in the heart of the village but you have many other possibilities. The centre Forme d’O that opened its doors in July 2014 is the cherry on the cake. People on site are very nice. In summer, the abundance of flowers is splendid.
