What a beautiful (and newly renovated!) house, that had us feeling right at home. It had everything we needed, and was such a wonderful spot to base ourselves for the week. We especially loved the visiting wildlife, and very short walk to the beach. The fireplace was great, and it was such a homely, clean and well equipped property. We will definitely be back again!

It was a fabulous location . The house was so comfortable and well equipped. Pantry staples and more were provided which made meals more tasty. The outdoor area was peaceful to sit in. The birds in the birdbath a delight to watch. Comfy beds too.

Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful beach and well located property. Kangaroo Island is larger than you might think, so there is a lot of driving to get to the attractions, and the westerly location is good for many of the beaches and the national park at the west end of the island. Firewood supplied and a warm wood stove on arrival. Kitchen was well-equipped and internet service was good. We received detailed suggestions for our visit, including stocking up on groceries before getting on the ferry, and places on the island to visit, so communications were excellent.

Highly recommend

The property was fantastic. Cosy, clean and in a peaceful location. The family of wallabies was an absolute bonus to our stay. Highly recommend anyone visiting Vivonne Bay to stay here.

What a gem, super clean and great location to the amazing beach. Heaps of firewood, crockery, plates etc. Was lovely sitting outside in the afternoons chilling in the sun. Enjoyed every moment including doing a massive jigsaw.Easy to find and check-in was also easy. .

Great getaway

Really enjoyed staying here. It was a great base for travelling around the island. House was tastefully furnished with lovely linen. Loved the outdoor seating area. Thanks for sharing this gem of a place with us

We loved our stay. Great location in Vivonne Bay, stroll to the beach, 15 minute walk to the delightful general store. The house had everything we needed, and the tranquillity was magic. All we ever heard were the ocean and birds!

Perfect

Stormsky is an ideal place to base yourself either for some R&R on the gorgeous Vivonne Bay or to be able to see the sights of south KI. The house is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, furnishings are really comfortable, communication is excellent and the booking/check-in is easy. I couldn’t fault our time here and will be recommending to friends.

Rustic and wild

Rustic holiday place, a great base for exploring the west and south of the island. Interesting books to read, and decore to enjoy. Loved the birds and wallabies that visited the property. Very close to a wild and beautiful beach. We found the low lounge a bit hard to get out of.

Perfection

A beautifully decorated, calming and comfortable cottage with everything you need. Spare blankets, comfortable beds and quality sheets and towels, kitchen stocked with extras in case you run out. A few minutes walk to the stunning Vivonne bay beach. Lovely outdoor area. We will definitely be back to enjoy again.

Home amongst the bush animals

We loved the native wildlife - kangaroos and birds - visiting us during our breakfasts and dinners at home. The apartment is warm & cozy and we appreciated the water saving tips provided by the owner. The home is conveniently located to the island's key nature attractions - the seals, birds of prey & remarkable rocks, little Saraha - so we saved over an hour driving every day.

Absolute bliss

I wish we had stayed longer as this was exactly what the family needed. Time out in beautiful accommodation with all of our activities within driving reach. Vivonne Beach is a hidden gem and incredibly private. Our girls had an amazing time splashing about in the waves. We have been reasonably blessed with weather but will definitely be back in warmer months to take advantage of the outdoors at Stormy Skye.

Island beach idyll

StormySky is a lovely beach house, tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and well equipped. It was wonderful to be so close to such a beautiful beach; we walked along the bay every morning and evening and rarely saw more than one other person. It was also a great base for exploring Kangaroo Island - we loved walking in Flinders Chase national park, doing guided walks to see sea lions and koalas and spotting kangaroos, possums and an echidna while we were out and about. We'd happily go back!
