Mandala, a four-bedroom holiday home rental located in Alonnah, South Bruny Island. Centrally located and close to the only Pub & Bistro on Bruny, it can be reached within 5 minutes drive (2 km), also close to general stores and swimming beach. This property is waterfront and close to the foreshore track.

The property offers a spacious living area with a wood fire that can be gated off, adjoined with an extendable dining space, and includes a well-equipped kitchen. The house has numbers of adults & children reading books, board games and small toys for children. Free WIFI and Smart TV with Netflix programs.

Outside features 20,000 m2 private bushland with a landscaped garden surrounding the house, games shed features table tennis, private deck, and a cubby house with sandspit and assorted toys. Fabulous property

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. Wina provided a warm welcome which included some home grown coriander, tomatoes and apples. The facilities and location were perfect for our needs. The mid-stay email offered support without being instrusive. We would love to return if the opportunity arises.

Three nights with adult family

We spent three nights here after Christmas: some of the time with 7 adults and 3 golden retrievers. Although it was summer the weather was a little disappointing; mostly cool and cloudy with occasional showers. However we still managed to have a really enjoyable and relaxing time; some 1-3 hour walks with spectacular scenery, fishing in our small dinghy, an occasional quick swim, visiting the cheese and oyster businesses etc. We could walk to a sandy beach in about 20mins or easily reach the beach or Bruny hotel by car in under 5 mins. The house is very well equipped with games, table tennis, TV ( for the cricket lovers!), barbecue and all kitchen equipment needed to prepare any meal (plenty of sharp knives, hand blender, coffee plungers and pod machine, saucepans of all sizes, condiments etc). We loved the rustic, seaside holiday vibe and appreciated the very comfy beds, quality bed linen and tasteful decor. It was the perfect environment in which to relax and read or chat. Those in our group from warmer places enjoyed the cosy wood heater in the cooler evenings. There is a big deck surrounding the house with gates that can be closed across the steps. This was perfect for enclosing our dogs, and would also be great for families with young children. I would highly recommend this house for a very comfy and relaxing stay in a very pleasant environment, no matter what the weather does.

Worked well for us!

Mandala was a very good choice for our 3 night stay on Bruny Island. For a family gathering of 7 adults and 3 children, Mandala provided the space for everyone to comfortably enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed setting. The children found lots to do playing table tennis, in the bush and in the play house. The house was very well equipped and has lovely views of the DÉntrecasteau Channel. It also has easy access to the foreshore and to the track to Alonnah beach.

Beautiful location and house

We were a group of 7 staying for 2 nights. The location is great, less than a minutes walk to the water with tracks leading around the shore, it's not far from the pub and shop and the house is very comfortable for a larger group and would be even better during summer to utilise the deck spaces/kayaks more. The games room is great to spend some time playing darts and table tennis, unfortunately the weather was a bit rough to utilise the kayaks though. The kitchen is well provisioned with equipment and has most things you need for a big group cook up. Overall, it's a great choice if looking for a larger group to stay comfortably.

Awesome family retreat

Our family of 8 adults and 2 children enjoyed 2 days and nights on Bruny and Mandala was the perfect location - easy to access all tourist activities, the facilities provided were great, only wished we had stayed longer - not enough time to utilise the Kayaks!!

Fantastic stay
