Modern living in the heart of Margaret River.

Welcome to your peaceful retreat in Margaret River. Our stylish, modern one-bedroom unit, modern design, open plan bathroom, is just 1.5 km from the town centre a pleasant 15-minute walk to cafés, restaurants, and local art galleries, and only a 10-minute drive to some of the region’s most iconic beaches and wineries. Ideal for couples or solo travellers looking for convenience, comfort, and charm.

The studio is privately located at the rear of our main residence, accessible via a secure garden entrance. Please note that access involves a few steps and an uneven gravel path, so it may not be suitable for guests with mobility challenges, including those using walking sticks, wheelchairs, or the elderly.

We’re pet-friendly. One small well-behaved pet is welcome per stay (pet fee: $100). While the property offers a lovely outdoor space and a nearby dog park within walking distance, the yard is not fully enclosed. For safety, pets must be leashed at all times in shared or unfenced areas. Property owners are not responsible for missing dogs on grounds. Dogs need to be quiet at all times.

As your hosts, we live at the front of the property and are available should you need assistance with local tips, wine tours, transport options, or anything else to make your stay more enjoyable. Our friendly dachshund also calls this place home and loves to say hello.

A perfect little oasis

Situated conveniently close to town.

This property is well kept and neat. Although it is at the back of the owners property, it is private and the neighbourhood is quiet. A few minutes drive will get you in town. We really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely abysmal...

Locked away in the suburbs... noisy children disturbing... charged for not drying wine glasses when I washed them... not a tea towel in site. Then charged for breaking a table??? 60+ single woman ... please do yourself a favour & find somewhere more central that offers basic options such as knives, forks, plates & tea towels. Sorry guys, but abysmal....

Just to clarify this is the first time we have a low review and will explain: we understand guests get upset when owners claim a damage deposit as in this case for a lamp not a table that doesn’t function after you check out as the bae of the lamp was missing when we went to clean the room the bedside table was swimming in water and I’m not sure how a mature guest didn’t realised what the lamp is incomplete and that we didn’t charge you for the rubbish in the room with millions of medication for your sore gums and that we provide cutlery in the fist draw where mirror is and that we provide tea towels on the basket next to tea and coffee and mugs it’s pretty obvious anyway I will say it’s miscommunication! The doors are soundproof so you shouldn’t be able to listen to the family living in front! I disagree my two Montessori children are very respectful and I wouldn’t say noisy. This review it is not a honest review just comes from someone upset single in his 60’s upset as has to pay for damages as we are not charity we are a business that need to run we try to be considerate and understandable we live in front so it’s not far to let us know for any issues. You lack to read the welcoming letter even you said you read it as you miss important information of rules regarding checking out leaving rubbish out as for covid we try to be as clean as possible. This is the best area 5 min drive from the centre in a beautiful Margaret river lucky nowadays you can goggle and see that that we have a great location close to everything. I’m sorry you were upset about the extra charges but this is an unfair review! Wish you good luck!

Access to unit

Unit tucked around the back of suburban house. Th photo is of the house and not the actual Unit Car left out the front. Access via badly laid limstone blocks as steps , then across a gravel patch and step up onto Verandah by wobbly wooden box used as a step and no handrails. Verandah had no safety rail around edge . Because we couldn't access the room safely , we cancelled and Stayz gave us a refund. Until improvements are made , would not reccomend.. It proved difficult to find alternate accommodation at short notice , particularly as we were tired after a 3 hour drive. Very dissatisfied...

Hi Tim! Thank you for your feedback! We put in place some measurements so the steps you are referring now that are very sturdy for any fit person to be able to comfortably walk steps to get to room. As per description are some steps to walk along garden afe neccesary so definitely not suitable for someone with a walking stick or ekderly not fit to walk few steps. For anyone else is safe to walk few steps. This picture ypu pointed at is the picture of the building. The studio is located at the back of front property as per description. Unfortunately we had to cancel the booking and we gave you a prompt response and refund. Hopefully next time guests will be more accurately when leaving reviews and read twice the description of properties before making a booking to avoid dissapointment from both parts. Gave you a 4 stars review as i respect guests with disabilities.

Adequate studio for a place to stay

We have family in Margaret River so this property was ideal for us to stay. We were only there to sleep. We took our dog with us and it was totally fine for her too. We didn’t see the owners in the front, although they live in the adjoining house the studio is very private.

Very nice place.

Some suggestions. Front step a bit dangerous for oldies. Coffee mugs not nice to drink out of. Lots of midges in the unit. Small table and chairs inside would be useful.

lovely hosts and excellent location

Barely five minutes from the centre of Margaret River, the location is convenient to restaurants, cafes and all the town has to offer. Mayra and Matt's stay is modern, clean and well kept, with all the essentials for a short weekend trip - and were more than easy to communicate and get along with!

Great little studio

We had a lovely stay at Mayra's studio. She was very accommodating to us and our daughter, even leaving a basket of toys for her to play with :). The studio is small, yet has everything you need fo a short stay. The space was clean and even though the studio is behind the main house, it was very quiet. The bathroom was spacious, and we especially enjoyed the double shower. Thanks!

Rather disappointing

The property was located in a large housing develop ment and not 5 minutes from Woolies as indicated. We thought we would be able to walk into town, as this would have taken about 20 minutes. On arrival the front garden was strewn with children’s bikes and looked untidy. There was the minimum of cutlery and plates. The shower was very good but the toilet next to it was open to the kitchen and it needed a door to close it off. From the photo on the website it seemed as if there was a much larger garden, whereas it was not a comfortable place to sit outside. The two young children did not disturb us. Overall, not good value for money.

Sorry to hear your review! It is stated 5 minutes drive to woolies not 5 minutes walk to woolies and definitely 15 to 20 min walk for a fit person to walk from woolies to here. Yes we have kids and they ride their bikes it’s a family living in a house this is not a hotel. The pictures shows what it is we offer not more or less and it’s an open bathroom as shown in pictures to avoid confusion to guests. We have an outdoor table and chairs sharing area is the garden not exclusive to guests but welcome for use. Thanks

We are happy to give you information of the area and best wineries and restaurants and we adore animals. We have a sausage dog that is sometimes up for a play, very gracious one. We Welcome friendly pets and we are always happy to say hello on arrival. We are pretty lay back and a we are a small Family of 4 that lives in the front property.

Modern Studio y a quite street! Great location just 10 minutes from centre Margaret river and 15min drive to most beautiful beaches in the south west and wineries! Great bush walks and bicycle tracks from the property! A dog training park 300 metres away. Smoking is allowed outside on premises.
