Quaint little house. Sleeps 8, although we were a smaller group. The living room is small, but we weren't inside much. Full-sized washer and dryer conveniently located in the kitchen. It was nice to have 3 bathrooms! Great location, but a bit tricky to get into the driveway because of people parking on the street right to the edge of the driveway. The weather was really hot when we visited, so we didn't get a chance to take advantage of the porch and cute front yard.

Property was clean and had all the essentials that we needed for a comfortable stay. For a large party (we were 5) there is not enough seating to sit comfortably for a chat, but the dining room/kitchen is close enough that it's doable. We did not spend much time in the house, but it was comfortable to sleep, although there was street noise. We LOVED Maria came to make us a delicious breakfast. She is delightful

Thank you very much for the detailed review. And yes the street noise for the front bedroom is notated in the listing, and on weekend nights we suggest a little white noise perhaps. Haley st use to be the main road in Santa Barbara. Those days have faded, but the stone curbs remain! Its not the main anything anymore but still a busy street late on weekends. Main user of house: use the back bedroom for yourself! Best and thanks again, David

We stayed in mid-May for my son’s wedding. The property was exactly as described. Very clean and although small because it’s a vintage house, there were thoughtful touches throughout. This property has everything you could need, cookware, coffee maker, plenty of towels and blankets and a fenced yard for pets. Would stay there again.

I was visiting Santa Barbara with a group of 5 for a friend’s wedding and we chose this place because it was in a great area and it was a more affordable per-night stay when divided among the group. We loved that it was walkable to great nearby coffee shops and a short drive to The Funk Zone, great restaurants, and lots of sightseeing. It also has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is great for a group. But here’s where it starts to go downhill. This place is absolutely crawling with bugs. We were greeted by huge spider webs on the inside and outside of the house, found spiders in our bedroom curtains (which were touching the pillows), found cockroaches in the kitchen, and had literal hundreds of ants in our bathtub and bathroom sink. We also believe a possum or raccoon is living in the crawl space under the house because there was a lot of eerie rustling/scratching under one of the bathtubs. On top of that, this place just feels… neglected. Bad paint jobs, shoddy fixes, windows won’t open, sketchy wiring in the kitchen, etc. The hinges on our bathroom door were basically rotting. The bathroom towels were old and had strings coming out of them. This is all such a shame because it’s a cute, historic home in a great neighborhood. Listen, it does the job and we didn’t leave early, but omg does this place need some pest control and TLC.

HI, Thanks for the comments. This wonderful old house had 2 things that are involved with your stay. In that 3 week period during indian summer for Santa Barbara, it is extra warm and everything is out looking for water. and second there's critters come from the creek just a couple dozen yards away from the property. We treated twis in the last month but we have found that no effort deters them when they are so thirsty. And Maria wrangles webs every stay but they can spin back overnight. We have excellent housekeeping ( see more reviews ) and we defend that. And a thread from a towel does not make this a halloween ride, nor is there any rot anywhere. This house is a value bargain for pet owners, families and helping with a substantial bargain against the pervasive hotel prices in this burg. Thanks for your stay. I guess. Best David

Charming Vacation Rental

The place was perfect for a group. Charming,clean, plenty of sleep space and bathrooms. Location was excellent as we were able to walk everywhere for shopping, eating and night life. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay!

A very cute and comfortable house in a great location for our family gathering. Dave was super accommodating for a last minute change which was much appreciated. Ample parking and a bathroom in each bedroom is a big plus Very clean and well equipped.
