Awesome view!
We loved our view of all the mtns in full color! The home was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. Loved sitting on the deck and relaxing while having our morning coffee or out under the stars and full moon while we were there. Everything was very clean! The owners have done a great job and are very quick to answer any questions.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We are so happy that you enjoyed our mountain home as much as we do. We completely transformed the house inside and out and it means a lot to hear how much people are enjoying it. We fell in love with that view and it brings us so much peace and joy. Something so special about the mountains! We hope that you will stay with us again in the future. Take care. Mary, RIchard/Owners

Charming Mountaintop Home A-Frame
This home is absolutely the most charming I have stayed in. The owners are wonderful and so helpful in every way. The mountain view is incredible. I do not think I could have found a more beautiful place to stay. It has 2 bedrooms and a little study area. The living room space is wonderful. And the patio overlooks the mountains which speaks for itself. You will not be disappointed. The road to the cabin is windy and narrow so prepare for an adventure! We will be back!

HI Sandi, thanks for your lovely review. We are so happy that you enjoyed our mountain home. It was a pleasure having you. Take care and we hope to have you stay with us again. Thank you, Mary and Richard
I had high hopes for this reservation, being close to family in the area. The picture show access roads that are paved and not that much of an incline. However, it’s up on a mountain and the road leading up is narrow and high. Unfortunately my family was too concerned to proceed up the narrow road up, so we had to find another location. I contacted the host, and only was told other people make it up all the time, which doesn’t change my situation at all.
We enjoyed our stay here for the Franklin gem show. I don’t think the pics can capture the beauty of the view of the mountains from the porch. Morning coffee on the porch, watching the fog roll over the mountains was our favorite part of the stay. Cute back yard area and felt private. The house is cozy and comfy and perfect for us, my mom and two friends. The gravel road to the house is a bit steep in places and may give some pause, but I had no issues with it. It was freshly graded and I just took it slow and easy! I did wonder what would happen if I encountered another car coming the opposite direction, but thankfully that never happened!

Lost power and water on day #1
Were told by municipality once they cleared the fallen trees to leave and not return. Had to find another place to stay.
We expect some type of refund, since we were not allowed to stay by the municipality.
Before all this however, we noticed there was mold and mildew on the bathroom shower curtains.
Light bulbs burned out and not replaced on light fixtures.
We had the best time at this cabin. It is big enough for a good 10 people if you bring your own air mattresses! The cabin has every thing you need, kitchen is fully equipped, just bring your food!
It’s a 3 level cabin with one bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. The 2nd floor has a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room with TV and nice size dining area! There’s a spare room with a couch. It’s set up like a little den, with a nice size closet! Go up one more set of stairs for the 3rd bedroom. There’s a boom box with CD player and nice speakers. A desk, queen bed and a closet.
It’s a roomy place that makes for a perfect getaway on top of a mountain! It’s decorated nicely and very clean! I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with this gem!
Going into town in Franklin is very quaint and the people are friendly. Whether you’re shopping or eating… plenty of both! The surrounding towns have shopping and eats as well!
Our host Mary was so kind and very accommodating! You won’t be disappointed!!!

Melissa was a lovely guest. Great communication and took good care of our home. They are welcome back anytime. Highly recommend them as guests.
Let me start by saying I don’t like taking the time to leave reviews; but, I always read reviews. I will keep this short- it’s worth the drive up. The road most of they way up was scary to me the first time; we arrived right at dark. After the second time up, it really wasn’t bad. I backed up the driveway after the first night and it was much easier to leave.
The house is beautiful and was super clean! The floor was clean, the kitchen was clean, bedrooms were clean, bathrooms were clean, and living room was clean. The couch is brand new, the sheets felt wonderful, the towels smelled nice and clean, there was full hand-soap in the bathrooms, a nice washer and dryer, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels and all the kitchen items you’d need. I loved that I didn’t have to pack towels and linens.
Look, there are areas of imperfection if you want to nitpick, but this house is beautiful and very well kept!!! The pictures really don’t do this property justice and the view is so stunning. It’s also very well situated between some great towns to visit. Me, my husband and our 3 daughters (5, 10, and 20) all had a great stay and can’t wait to come back!
WE LOVED THE HOUSE SO MUCH WE STAYED 16 DAYS, BIG HOUSE LOTS OF ROOM,BIG DECK WITH AWESOME VIEWS FOREVER,THE OWNER MARY WAS VERY NICE TO US AND WILL STAY AGAIN, THANK YOU.
Great overall property. Property Manager was quick to respond to any questions that we had. Would definetly recommend and look forward to our next stay.
This house is BEAUTIFULLY decorated - the view is awesome! Everything that we needed to cook and grill was there. It is comfortable-spacious-very clean. I would highly recommend this rental.
We had a wonderful time visiting the cabin. It was quiet and peaceful. The birds were amazing and the trees were beginning to bud...in a couple weeks it will be breathtaking! Overall very nice week!
The view is very nice but a little difficult to navigate to. The heat was not on when we arrived and it was much later than we expected due to a traffic accident so it was very cold. It warmed up pretty quickly but due to heating with propane it was very difficult to regulate and was never very comfortable. Its a pretty place and the host was very nice but i dont think i would stay again.

It's unfortunate that the guest did not read the instructions I sent or reached out to me if they were cold. There are several sources of heat in the house. The propane gas I explained was not an effective source of heating. There's a split unit in the house that heats the house quite adequately.? They're also additional wall and window units for heat and air as well as baseboard and tower heaters. The road to the house Is very easily navigated. The Only section of the road that was difficult for some guests was paved Last year and goes directly to the carport. If you have a fear of heights this probably isn't the place for you as it is on top of the mountain and we are quite clear on that fact in our description. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me prior to booking a reservation. Mary
We stayed for 5 days to celebrate our anniversary, and this house was perfect! The view is spectacular! It was incredible to wake up each morning to the view of the Smoky Mountains as well as enjoying dinner each night on the patio facing the mountains! The home is lovely, and very clean! The property owner is very kind and friendly! I reached out to her on our way to inquire about local grocery stores and she called me immediately and provided multiple recommendations. The location of this home is great too. We took an hour trip to Asheville and visited the Biltmore, and another day took about 45 min-1 hour to drive to the Smoky Mountains National Park and did some hiking and exploring. Overall, we had an amazing stay at this home and we’re still talking about it! I would highly recommend!
This property had a beautiful view of the mountains. It is only a 10 minute drive into town so it’s a convenient location. We had a bit of an issue accessing the lock box upon arrival, but the owner took care of the issues within a few minutes.

I don’t understand the reason for the three star review. No one else has had trouble accessing the lockbox. That is not really an adequate reason for a three star review. It was only a matter of a few minutes before they figured out how to get in. We have an excellent rating so we hope that anyone Considering renting this property will take that into account. We take great pride in our home and providing a wonderful guest experience. We address any issues that come up as quickly as possible as the guest stated.
