Steps to Beach & Bites: Catalina Island Retreat!

From the owner: "Kimberly, thank you for staying with us! We are sorry that the cleanliness of our home was not to your standards. - We will address your concerns regarding the cleanliness of the appliances with our cleaning crew so this issue does not affect future guests. - Our home is also undergoing a complete makeover. Renovations will be put into place very soon! Thank you again for providing such valuable feedback, it is greatly appreciated as it allows us to tackle these issues before our next booking."

Hi Hannah, the right vacation home is everything, and we're glad to hear you enjoyed the great location and the use of the golf cart. After sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following: -We have addressed your cleanliness concerns with our housekeeping staff to ensure the home meets our high standards for future guests. -The pull-out couch is a full-size bed, though we understand it may not be as spacious for two adults. We appreciate your feedback so we can continue to improve and help this homeowner provide guests with the best possible experience. Thanks for taking the time to leave your review!

Hi there, we're glad that you enjoyed this home overall, but sorry you weren't completely satisfied with your stay. We followed up with the homeowner, who would like to share the following: - The house was built in 1912, but we have done many updates to make it modern and comfortable for guests. Unfortunately, we are not able to put larger toilets in given the size of the bathroom. - I have shared your comments with my cleaning crew, asking them to double-check the handsoap and light bulbs moving forward. - I will also inspect the shower, as I am not aware of any rust. - As is standard in the vacation rental industry, we leave a starter pack of supplies such as paper towels; if guests run out, they are responsible for buying more. - The listing does not advertise a front porch, but if the golf cart is parked on the street, there is room to sit out front. Thanks for letting me know about your stay.

Hi Michael, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The listing doesn’t include a golf cart, and we’ve added notes to the photos to make it even clearer that the one pictured isn’t for guest use.- The door in the back bedroom leads to a shared laundry space and stays locked to maintain safety and privacy between the two units.- We're sorry the guest contact didn’t come across as helpful—cell service can be spotty on the island, but we're working to improve communication moving forward.- We’ve reminded our team to be extra mindful of guest concerns, especially when travel plans are impacted. Thanks for taking the time to leave your review.
