The owner was very accommodating and courteous. The price was very reasonable for the location. The views were BREATHTAKING. The Villa was definitely a great vibe. It was so cozy, comfortable and clean. The bed felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The golf cart included was the bonus and very necessary. They have so many amenities in the private community. I must say my stay was nothing short of fabulous. I definitely recommend 10/10.

Perfect Getaway

Wonderful condo with amazing views. Our family of four fit comfortably in the one bedroom with pullout couch. Newly remodeled bathrooms and kitchen. Easily walk to pool and cove for snorkeling. Inclusion of golf cart made the trips in to town easy and accessible. Will definitely stay here again!

Perfect location. Very quiet. Can see pool and private ocean cove from widow and balcony. We liked this because we appreciated knowing when they were unoccupied so we could go and enjoy privately. Having two full-baths and two entrances was great. Also having full use of the gold-cart was super convenient and fun. View from bed absolutely stunning.

Amazing!

My family had such a wonderful time! I wish we could’ve stayed an extra day. The unit was beautiful and clean. It was so fun to explore the island with the golf cart! Both Chela and the owner were very communicative. They were able to accommodate an early check-in, and Chela also delivered a pack n’ play for our infant daughter! 5 stars all around. We would love to come back!

Our family of 4 stayed a week in this unit. Kids ages 12 & 9 slept on the pull out sofa and 2 adults in the bedroom. We had plenty of room to enjoy the condo. The two bathrooms are nice with four people. The views were amazing. We had everything we needed to cook breakfast each morning before heading out for the day. The washer and dryer is shared with what looked to be 4 condos. The unit overlooks the community pool. That can have its pros and cons. If you keep the windows open you can hear guests enjoying the pool. Each room with a bed has a TV. We pulled up YouTube and played white noise to drown out any noise and slept great. The pool location is nice if you have family at the pool. You can see them from the kitchen, living room or the patio. Hamilton Cove grounds and buildings are very well maintained. We saw crews out each morning doing something to keep the grounds, facility or buildings looking good. Avalon is a safe community but felt even better knowing Hamilton Cove is gated. The Cove is wonderful especially when it can be hard to find a spot on the beach in town. Bring water shoes because there is no sand on Hamilton Cove beach. We snorkeled off the beach and dock. Bring your tennis or pickleball racquets if you plan to play. The golf cart makes it so easy to get around town. We came in July and felt the main part of Avalon was very busy with people. Hamilton Cove was a nice break away from the crowds. We enjoyed our stay and were so happy we booked here.

My hurricane vacation

Property was fine , I requested to change my date of vacation since the hurricane was going to hit Catalina , and the owner wouldn’t work with me . I couldn’t bring my family cause we got stuck plus we didn’t do anything since they closed down most of the island . Evacuation was in place , and they still would allow me to change my date .

Excellent

Amazing location! The property was exactly what was stated on the listing.. Beautiful view! Very spacious. Coffee in the morning on the balcony overlooking the ocean was a plus! Everything about this property was EXCELLENT! The Golf Cart is a definite bonus! The only downer was that there was excess amount of long Blonde Hair on the bed. My wife is a Brunette… Housekeeping needs to do a better job of cleaning! I’m a planner and I reached out to our Host Chela Hernandez multiple times via email regarding our check in but got no response up until we arrived and I called her direct… Other than that our stay was AWESOME! Definitely recommend this Villa!

Nice condo for family of four, with great views

We really enjoyed our stay. The views were incredible. It was clean and included most of the amenities you would expect. There was plenty of room for a family of four. It was sometimes noisy due to loud, late-night guests at the pool. The golf cart was pretty old, including broken seat belts. Master bath shower head was pretty old/corroded and could be replaced, and there wasn't any dishwasher detergent to clean the dishes properly. None of these things were too big of a deal, as we really liked the place. We just thought we'd offer a few suggestions for minor fixes.

Thank you for your review! We're happy to hear you enjoyed the villa and had a great stay in Avalon. We appreciate your feedback regarding the golf cart, detergent and shower head. The homeowner has addressed all of these concerns, and has also purchased a brand new golf cart for the property! Thank you for traveling with us, we hope to see you again! Best, The Evolve Team

Wonderful location

The condo was in an excellent location with a beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay, however the place was not cleaned well. Also, the toilet in the upstairs bathroom was continuously running and it was loud, but rather than fixing it, someone had just turned the water off. Another annoying issue was the golf cart which should have been full of gas when we arrived, was only half full. We were only there for one full day and hardly used the cart, but we had to drive all the way to the gas station which is a 40 minute round trip drive and pay to fill it up so that the next tenant had a full tank! Also, the door to the bedroom downstairs to the outside where the owner says you can leave your luggage for easier access does not unlock, therefore we had to carry our bags all the way up to the front door and then downstairs inside. We enjoyed our stay, but this place had more problems than we cared to deal with for such a short stay.

Hi Mary, We are glad that you enjoyed the condo's great location, but we are sorry that some aspects of your stay fell short of expectations. In the future, please don't hesitate to reach out to your local contact with any questions or concerns that you may have - they would have been happy to assist you! We note the stairs on the property in the listing, and the homeowner provides instructions on how guests can more easily bring in their luggage by entering through the upstairs door and opening the downstairs door from the inside. This ensures that the master bedroom is not available as an entrance for the security of our guests. We appreciate you letting us know about your stay, and we hope that you keep us in mind for your future travels! Best, the Evolve Team

Nice decor. Too small for more than three adults or two adults and two small kids. Lanai/Balcony really small. Not at all for elders or anyone with mobility or sports injury issues. 4 flights of stairs to main door.Unit not ready at 3 pm checkin. Contracted cleaning crew appears to work on many rentals in the complex and it showed re:supplies missing, etc.. they were overwhelmed that day (Friday checkin, .usually Sundays are the worst).

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, Sandy. We are glad you enjoyed the decor, and we appreciate your comments regarding your stay. Our property features a master king bed and an upstairs queen sleeper sofa, and we always strive to ensure our listing details clearly reflect the space and layout so guests can plan accordingly. While our property requires navigating 31 steps to the lower bedroom—which is typical for the complex—we do provide early access to our golf cart whenever a check-in delay occurs to help guests settle in comfortably. We have addressed the housekeeping and supply oversights with our cleaning team to ensure this does not happen again. Thank you again for your review, and we wish you all the best in your future travels.

Great overall stay

Great views, nice place. It came a golf cart was great but the exhaust smells is a but much. Nice place but when turning on the TV it errors on the screen which took an hour to reset it. The small stuff was no spatula but a outdoor grill one which scratches up Teflon in your food from the pan and the soap in bathrooms were very hard and zero lather. Bringing your own is a must

Island life

Took the boat to Catalina Island and attended JazzTrax event. For a town of 4k people, everyone was friendly. Our villa at Hamilton Cove was great. The view of the ocean was mesmerizing and calming. Bed is super comfy. There is plenty of coffee and filters. Stop at Vons and pick up some groceries but we dined at fabulous restaurants. Potato Cottage is the breakfast place. Get there by 9 am avoid the line. Lobster Trap had fresh lobster yummy. Take a guided tour. The island has rich history

It was an awesome location. Having the golf cart was great. The 32 steps to get to the first level wasn’t to bad. It was worth it for the view. 👍
