Come live in a Bakery!
This 110-year-old adobe market/bakery has been artfully converted into a comfortable, upscale home—a quiet sanctuary right in the midst of the action. Downtown Tucson, the Tucson Convention Center, theaters, restaurants and the streetcar to the University of Arizona and Banner–University Medical Center are all close by. The Bakery sits in a quiet historic neighborhood just four blocks from the center of downtown and the streetcar route, with an excellent Walk Score.
Ideal for couples, friends and families with older children who want large, comfortable gathering areas for shared time but also desire separate bedrooms and bathrooms. This is a home where you won't be tripping over your luggage, waiting for the bathroom, or hearing the people in the next room. It's a full-size home that just happens to be in one of Tucson's most convenient locations.
If you value authenticity but also enjoy comfort and convenience, look no further.
Thick adobe walls, flagstone and hardwood flooring, luxury linens, new beds and sofas, and a full-size washer and dryer. Delightfully furnished with an industrial vibe.
The expansive great room has soaring exposed-beam ceilings and partially exposed adobe walls. A repurposed wood-and-pipe bar-height gathering table seats eight, adjacent to comfortable sofa and chair seating. The 55-inch smart TV streams Amazon Prime. High-speed fiber internet with Wi-Fi, a Bose speaker, original art and designer lighting complete the room.
Relax in your own private, high-walled courtyard garden with an orange tree, fountain, natural-gas grill, and vintage patio table and chairs.
The completely outfitted kitchen has a gas stove, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator with ice maker, drip and French press coffee makers, microwave, blender and toaster. Fitz & Floyd dishes and stainless flatware for eight are provided, along with condiments, teas, herbs and spices.
The front bedroom has a queen bed; the sunroom bedroom has a king. Both beds have memory-foam toppers.
Note about Children: Because of the narrow, uneven concrete staircase leading down to the cellar, which has no handrail and cannot be safely gated or blocked, the Bakery is not suitable for young, mobile children. A non-mobile infant may be accommodated at the parents' discretion. Children over 8-10 are usually good with stairs, but some are fascinated and reckless. You know you child, and we can discuss children over the age of 9.
A note about animals: The Bakery is a no-pet property and has not been made pet-safe. There are plants inside the house and courtyard that are toxic to dogs, including adeniums, oleander, lantana and a sago palm. Some are within easy reach, and two of the larger indoor plants cannot readily be moved. Service animals are accommodated as required by law and Vrbo policy. Please review the animal provisions in our House Rules before booking.
