The Isabella is an inviting, warm and cozy one bedroom adobe condo in Tucson’s Barrio Viejo or “old neighborhood”. Her charms include Saguaro cactus rib ceilings, thick adobe walls and brick paved floors. She is located in the Ochoa Court condo complex dating back to at least 1888. Cook yourself a gourmet dinner in her old meets new kitchen, lounge in the intimate back patio, relax and stream some movies in the desert chic living room and sleep well in the luxurious King Bed with memory foam mattress. This adorable historical condo is located within walking distance to downtown, the SunLink Streetcar to U of A, local brewpubs, coffee shops and restaurants including easy walks to 5 Points Cafe, the Meyers Cafe and lounge, and the Coronet. New to VRBO, but our first guests wrote...."The Isabella is stunning inside and out. It is beautifully furnished with everything you could need. ....We enjoyed relaxing on the back patio in the evening with snacks and cold beers."

This is the second time renting this amazing place and it was just perfect! The proximity to great food and walkable areas in town is so ideal. And sitting on the back patio with a glass of wine in the evening was so pleasant. The space is very well appointed and has everything you need for a great visit.

My husband and I came to Tucson to visit our daughter for her baby shower. Our stay here was amazing! The property is so well appointed and the details of care and hospitality are present through. The location was ideal for us with a morning walk to the bakery a favorite on our list! We have already rebooked for our next stay when the baby is born!

Our first visit to Tucson, after acclimating we realized what a great location in addition to being such a nice property. Perfect for a couple. Dryer was a little loud but other than that Isabella was awesome !

Our stay at The Isabella was absolutely great! It is in a nice neighborhood that is walking-distance to very good restaurants. It was centrally located for the hiking, shopping and exploring that we had planned to do in and around the Tucson area. The Isabella has all of the comforts of home and is very clean and beautifully appointed. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Tucson!

The Isabella Adobe Condo is fantastic and very well appointed with every small detail you would imagine addressed. Their guest information booklet is among the best I have found in any of our many past rentals……..

I always enjoy this comfortable and convenient barrio property. Communication with the property manager was excellent. I also really appreciate that they have little snacks for guests. I didn't partake this time, but they're nice to have in a pinch. The neighborhood is quiet and I feel quite at ease walking around solo. I hope to return!

Great little house with charming shared courtyard in the Barrio Viejo part of Tucson. We used it as a base for hiking the National Parks and forests and it was perfect for the 2 of us. Clean and well appointed. Property manager was responsive and helpful. The one preference we would have is for a larger freezer as it was college dorm size but other than that it was fantastic.

I am so happy to introduce myself! I've lived in Tucson for over 35 years and absolutely love the Sonora desert. I have raised my five children here and am so happy to wake up every morning to the beautiful sun and mountains. I love hiking Tucson's varied hiking trails and have just started mountain biking. There is so much history here with wonderful restaurants and plenty to do outdoors.

Why they chose this property

Dating back to the late 1800's, the Isabella has such charm and unique historical features that it felt like a place I'd like to stay as soon as I entered for the first time. The Saguaro rib ceiling and thick adobe walls offer the experience of staying in an old adobe home, but with modern conveniences. While the Isabella is cozy at 850 Square Feet, each room is spacious and inviting. Finally, I really enjoy evenings spent on the back patio, grilling and just enjoying the Tucson nights.

What makes this property unique

The Isabella is located on a quiet street with historical buildings all around. I really enjoy walking my two dogs around to see the sights. The food in the neighborhood is terrific, Coffee at Exo Roast Co., breakfast at Five Points Market or the Meyer Avenue Cafe, dinner at the Coronet, El Minuto Cafe or Cafe Desta. She is also an easy .7 mile walk to the light rail taking you to the University of Arizona campus. Continue a couple of blocks on Cushing Ave and you are right in the midst of Tucson Gem Show activities. As a cyclist, I can be on The Loop (one of America's best bike paths) in a mile, go climb the "A" mountain, road bike Gates Pass or ride the extensive MTB trails in Tucson Mountain Park. Finally, when I'd rather just sit and reflect, Parque De Orlando y Diego Mendoza is right on the corner next to Ochoa Court.
