Designed with the rustic charm of a classic barn and finished with modern 5-star comfort, The Barn is a truly unique getaway. With 3,780 sq. ft. of living space, this home is ideal for large families, multiple families, and groups of friends looking to relax, reconnect, and make lasting memories together.

Prime Location
Located on the north side of Holland, just before Holland State Park, you’ll be a short walk from both Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa beaches. The home sits within Oak Grove Resort, providing access to resort-style amenities while still offering the privacy of a luxury vacation home.

The Barn is wonderful! We had a family wedding in Holland and15 of us stayed here. The house is spacious and at no point did we feel cramped. The deck was a perfect spot for us to catch up and the dinner table was a great place to play games! Wonderful stay!

This was the perfect place for our family vacation! The Barn was very clean and tidy. The check in was super easy. The kitchen was fully equipped and large enough for serving our group. The bedrooms were comfortable. The Barn is located within a very well maintained campground and we were able to use the swimming pool and playground. They even had goats that the children could feed. The deck was perfect for lounging in the late afternoon and evening. Less than a mile to a beautiful beach.

Fantastic for Families

If you are looking for a place that can accommodate a large, multi-generational family gathering, look no further. Our kids and grandkids loved the space, the pool, the hot tub, and the location. We really liked eating on the amazingly long picnic table on the balcony deck, too--and roasting marshmallows at the firepit. Plus, the goats were an endless form of entertainment. There is also so much to do around Holland, MI itself, and this was the perfect home base.

Beautiful Home

Our experience with booking "The Barn" was excellent. The owners were courteous, kind and very professional to interact with. The Barn was clean and very comfortable to stay in. Owners have thought of and supplied most everything you could want during your visit. Keep in mind that you must be able to climb steps to get to The Barn as the main living space is on the second floor and most bedrooms are on the third floor.

We had a crew of relatives with 6 kids and 9 adults and this place was so accommodating for our crowd. Kids loved great bunk room. The deck are worked out well for our only personal outdoor space. Kitchen was huge and well stocked. Manager was very attentive. Would go again.

Great for families!

Property was well maintained and very clean. They had everything provided. We have been going on a family vacation for many years, now with the grandkids we were hoping to find a place we could return to which had something for everyone and would be a nice place to stay with comfortable accomodations. Awesome time at The Barn

We had our entire extended family for the week here, and could not have had a better time - the lake! the biking! the pool and hot tub! the playground! Owners are extremely responsive to concerns, and very helpful - even a mechanic recommendation when one of our cars needed it!

Enjoyed our week at the Barn. The property was first class, five star. Rod and Maria were friendly, helpful, and delightful hosts. We stayed at the Barn with our 6 kids and 10 grands. It's hard to find houses that accommodate 18 but the Barn fit the bill. Living area was huge and the outside deck was great. We had a fabulous time.

Excellent facility, very clean, very well equipped, wonderful place!

We were all very pleased with the accommodations. We had 15 people and despite that number, we all felt there was plenty of room to have a bit of privacy. The kitchen was well equipped and has more than you would expect. Nothing negative to say. I would have liked the pool to stay open a bit later - but that is a very minor point. Staff was very responsive and pleasant.

We are Rod and Maria Vanden Berg. Oak Grove Resort is our family business started by Ron and Betty Vanden Berg in 1988.

"The Barn" was built as our home when our kids were young and we lived in the barn year-round. Now that are kids are grown up, we are moving from "The Barn" to a location off of the resort property so we can have some time away from work. We are excited for families to enjoy "The Barn" and OGR for years to come.

Why they chose this property

The Oak Grove Resort property and "The Barn" are an amazing place to stay. We have been blessed with one of the most beautiful propertys on the North side of Holland. We are located less than 1 mile from Lake Michigan and one of the best beaches in Michigan. While you are here you can enjoy the pool, spa, playground, basketball court and bike paths.
