Nice cabin with the perfect layout for our needs.

Nice cabin with the perfect layout for our needs. It was nice for each bedroom to have its own private full bathroom since we were a multi family staying together. It gave each family their own private space. One con was that under the living room furniture was cleaned in some time. There dust, trash and even a used baby bottle that had been there for awhile. (Milk in the bottle was a dried solid) Overall the cabin was just right for us.

Property was dirty

The cabin was filthy! Beds and furniture were nasty and nobody was able to sleep. I’ve been to many cabins and this was horrific. Towels in the bathroom were dark and seemed unsanitary and sheets had an odor.

Great location!!

Our stay was great! The location of the property was very nice. Close enough to the Parkway to be near all the action, but far enough to feel a little seclusion and privacy. One great thing about the location was the main road to the Parkway has a stoplight at the Parkway intersection, so made it easy to turn left or right! The listing is spot on with the description, bedding, baths, etc. I only rate a four star on the cleanliness due to some items not being touched in a while. It was obvious that the windows and blinds had missed cleaning for a while, and some other spots we happened to notice (under beds, behind furniture, etc.) had not been cleaned recently. However, the main items (flooring, kitchen, baths, etc.) were very clean and satisfactory. The overall 'feel' of the house was a bit off. We could tell it is primarily used for rental and most likely owned by an investment group that has never been in the property (commercial style carpet, signs posted everywhere (nice for light switches for sure), and an advertisement sign on the front porch). These were just details we had noticed and felt a little odd, as we like the feeling of truly feeling like someone is sharing their home with us. Lastly, parking was a concern for us initially, but all worked out well. We traveled in on three full size vehicles. Although tight, we made it work. I would guess if you have 4+ vehicles, would be a big inconvenience on the parking situation. Overall, great stay, highly recommend!

Cabin in Pigeon Forge

Lovely large "cabin". Very clean. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms (nice water pressure). Kitchen seemed well-appointed (although we really did not do any major cooking so I can't comment much on that). Huge long table for meals. Rustic/cabin decor. Nice hot tub (water was pristine) and small gameroom downstairs. Great location for activities in Pigeon Forge. We felt safe. No noise at night. Woods around the cabin give the feel of being in the mountains but short/easy drive into town. Host was immediately responsive via text. Would definitely stay again.

Property as expected

We found the property to be as described on the listing. The property manager was easily accessible and provided check in information promptly. The location was ideal for our needs, very close to the Le Conte conference center.

No power but we still had fun.

No power in the majority of the county, but we made due for 2 nights. Owner said they will refund unstated days and discount the time we stayed. Definitely will not forget. :)

Great location and propety

This cabin was just terrific. It was well located. All of Pigeon Forge was just a mile or so away and Gatlinburg is only about 20 min away. There were a couple grocery stores on the cabin's side of the highway so there was no reason to fight traffic to get to the store. The cabin itself was well furnished and outfitted. The kitchen table was plenty long for the 14 of us and food storage in the kitchen wasn't a problem. PLENTY of plates (there could be more forks) and glasses. Having a bath attached to each bedroom was very convenient and helped as there were four couples. The kids shared their parent's baths so it worked out well. ALL of the light switches were labeled. It was SO nice to not have to guess how to turn a light or fan on. The main floor bedroom had a powerstrip behind at least one of the night stands so there were plenty of outlets for phones, etc. The cabin is on the same level with the parking so loading and unloading vehicles was a breeze. I can't say enough nice things...just a great and well managed property. When I texted to get the door code I rec'd a response within 10 min. And when I texted after we departed I also rec'd a fast response.

Mini Vacation

Beautiful home! There was enough room for everyone in the house and no one was on top of anyone. The kids absolutely loved the game room. We will definitely be booking again.

Solid House, Trouble with Owner & Communication

Our group had a great weekend, but ran into some challenges with the cabin and the owner of the property. Space was great, but had issues with mold/mildew in the shower curtain liners and lack of any bathmats/spare towels. Property manager did address these problems during our stay, but any and all interactions with the owner, Sharon, were extremely unpleasant. We had issues with a carbon monoxide alarm going off multiple times over the weekend, a sick member of our group was forced to stay on-site and deal with the gas company and electric company instead of any representatives from the house. During communication with Sharon about the issues, she was very rude and dismissive. For being in hospitality, we certainly did not expect to be spoken to in the manner which she communicated in. We also had some challenges with temperature control, when the basement bedrooms were sweating, the top floor bedrooms were icicles and vice versa.

Meal Breaker

Upon arrival the housecleaner’s husband was there to add chemicals to the hot tub. He said to call if there was a problem. He never pointed out that the glass stovetop was broken beyond use. Shattered, with uneven shards of glass! When I contacted the contact they said “sorry for the inconvenience, it’s a fire hazard, don’t use it.” Later I pressed that we had a full house for four days and we had fully intended to cook our meals. They did respond with a 15% discount of out total rental. At least it’s something. Otherwise our stay was enjoyable.

2020 Sibling Reunion

A Smoky Mountain Retreat was the ideal location for our annual sibling getaway. The condition of the property is excellent. The location is close to Pigeon Forge and secluded enough to give you the cabin feel. It contained all of the amenities that we needed. Brenda, the property contact person was excellent and has been accessible all summer. I would certainly recommend this retreat to other family and friends.

Bed bug Vacation 2020

We had an awful experience at this property because it was infested with bed bugs. My husband and I were both bitten by the bed bugs...fortunately no one else in our group of 13 was bitten. When we contacted the property manager who then contacted the owner, we were offered ONE FREE NIGHT and were expected to stay in the house after it was heat treated by an exterminator. We had children ages 6 months, 3, 5, 8, 10, and 13 in the house. Unacceptable. We had to go through Evolve to receive a full refund and VRBO to receive lodging elsewhere for the remaining 2 nights of our stay. This experience ruined an otherwise great time.

Not as expected

The title of the listing is deceiving, it said NEW in the title and there was nothing “NEW” about the cabin. All of the fans were full of dust- pretty nasty in my opinion. We were a bit confused on trash bags as there was only 1 kitchen trash bag in the trash can and no extras. With 13 people morW than 1 trash can is needed for a 5 day stay. Could let people know they are required to provide their own trash bags. Our internet was NOT working for 2 days and we had 3 adults needing internet for work or college classes. Called and the problem wasn’t resolved. We will most likely use Cabins USA again as we’ve not had these issues.
