Burnie Brae is an amazing place to stay - it’s huge, luxurious with a fabulous shower, an incredibly well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and a great location.
We had a superb stay at Burnie Brae! It's a quick walk from the train station, and easily accessible to everything in Katoomba. Our host was very responsive and accommodating. And, of course, it was a lovely home with beautiful period accents, comfortable furnishings, and a lovely garden surrounding it. We spent a very pleasant afternoon just enjoying the mountain air out on the wraparound porch. Our favorite stay in 2.5 weeks exploring Australia — cannot recommend it highly enough!
The house was just amazingly beautiful. It was comfortable, clean and in a great location. The host was very professional and friendly. We loved our stay
Great location. Easy walk into town. Grand house with all modern conveniences. Quietest house we've ever stayed in. Comfy beds. The air con was essential as the mountains went from extreme heat to cold and foggy. Will happily return.
Perfect period home! Like stepping back in time. Superbly fitted kitchen, loads of room and very close to all amenities. Love it every time we stay there!
The owner was extremely accommodating and very responsive. The fitting out of the lounge and dining areas was opulent but would be a concern with young children. Highly recommended for adult guests.
Burnie Brae is a beautifully restored house with everything we needed for a wonderful week's stay. It is conveniently close to town, but very peaceful and private. Micheal is a very responsive, kind host and the information he provided was invaluable. Definitely recommended. We look forward to staying again.
My partner and I and his 80 year old parents had a brilliantly relaxing stay in Michael‘s house. It is charming, quiet and had everything we needed for a perfect getaway.

Comfortable, warm and clean, Burnie Brae is within easy reach of shops and mountain attractions. It has all the equipment you need, spacious rooms and communication with owner was seamless.
a beautiful, Federation house in a quiet street 5 minutes from the centre of Katoomba. Rich decor in keeping with the period of the house. large, roomy and comfortable. The living room/ dining room and kitchen are expansive and the balcony provides a bushland feel. Definitely stay there again!
