We lived our stay at Kid's Corner. House is very unique layout! We had 3 kids under 8 yo in our group. We loved convenience to Lake MI and park. With younger kids walk to downtown was too far so had to drive. This was our first time to South Haven, but probably not our last!

This is a beautiful home in a perfect location- near the beach and a beautiful park (and close to downtown SH). It is a charming older house that has an updated kitchen and bathrooms, so we could enjoy its character while appreciating its modern conveniences. It was the best of both worlds! The areas for dining and hanging around were great. We felt very much at home there. The owners anticipated our every need and provided an extremely well stocked kitchen. They were extremely responsive and helpful both before and during our stay. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

One of rhe best places we have vacationed with family

The location was super! The house was beautiful. Our entire family loved this and thought it eas one of the best vacations yet. The beaches, the play place, the neighborhood and everything was super.

Peaceful and serene gateway

We were not only impressed with the location, but the house itself was also super nice and cozy. We really enjoyed our morning walks to the lake, and the kids definitely took full advantage of the Kids Corner Park. Communication with the property owners was excellent throughout our stay.

The location was spectacular. The kids loved having kids corner literally in the backyard and such a short walk to the beach. The hoise is the most well atocked rental I've been in.

Great spot for families

Stayed here 4 nights with extended family for a wedding. It is close to the beach and the park is literally in the back yard, so the kids could always find something to do. Plus the walk to downtown was very nice. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and we cooked in most of our stay. Nice spaces to sit outside and eat/visit. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great location and house

We had a group of 8 and had plenty of room. The kitchen is really well stocked for cooking and baking. So close to the beach. Walked to town in less than 15 minutes. Would definitely book again!

Wonderful home to vacation at Lake Michigan with our kids and grandkids! Very convenient to beach, playground and walk to downtown. Grandkids loved party room and toys and the outside sitting spaces and balcony were very nice! Terrific kitchen supplied with everything you need!

Incredible Location!

Our three generation family had a wonderful stay. The kids enjoyed having the playground right outside the door and the beach a short walk. The house was comfortable for a group of 11. The owners have stocked the cabinets with enough dinnerware, glasses, etc for a group our size. And, the appliances and gas grill were much nicer than other rentals we have stayed in. Thank you to the hosts!

Great stay near Kids’ Corner

We have stayed in several different homes in South Haven. This was one of the best. Lay out of the house made it easy for privacy or group activities. Very close to Kids’ Corner and easily walkable to the beach using blue stairs. Grandkids loved the pirate room and party room!

Thank you for the great review. Just to let you know, the house was built in 1885 by Judge James Monroe. He helped start South Haven. After about 3 years he left but donated the land to the city with the stipulation that no houses could be built there. The city later developed the land for the park, that's why the house is in the park.

Perfect

The home was perfect for our large family gathering. Very close to the beach and the playground is in your backyard. The kitchen had everything needed for fixing meals. The grill and patio were very nice. The owners were awesome to work with and responded quickly to any questions. We would definitely stay again!

South Haven

Excellent location. Easy walking distance to the beach. Upstairs air conditioning was mediocre. Upstairs shower was not useable. 7 people was about the max, even though there are 12 beds. Hosts were extremely responsive.

We appreciate you getting back to us and clarifying your review. We checked with VRBO and they won’t let the customer change their review after it’s submitted, so we thank you for offering to explain it better. We thought the upstairs bathroom wasn’t working. As you explained, there’s an old fashion claw foot tub/shower and you have to step farther down to get out. The tub is original to the house and it’s working fine. We are looking into attaching a grab bar or something to the tub to make it easier for people to get out. You also mentioned that you used the two walk in showers downstairs on the first floor instead. Thanks for notifying us about the fan that’s loud on the high-speed setting, we’ll get it fixed. Also, it was in the 90’s that week and the A/C can only do so much. We are glad you had a fantastic stay.

Kids Corner South Haven, MI

Beautiful combination of old Victorian charm and wonderful modern appliances! First one awake? make the coffee, grab your book and settle into the front porch couch. My favorite spot to watch the storms roll in or families at the playground. Easy walk to the beach or downtown for dinner. We loved everything about this home. Thanks for sharing it with us.

End-of-Summer Get-Away

This property was perfect for 3 generations. There was something for everyone. We made good use of the park for the kids, did art projects, watched movies together, spent hours at the beach, walked into town, watched sunsets with the neighbors, and cooked together—especially blueberry pancakes we never have time to make. We made memories and have photos to prove it. The place was even better than advertised. We were comfortable and impressed with the cleanliness, the thoughtful design, and the amenities provided. We would recommend this to others and even heard from friends who had enjoyed the house they recognized from our photos. Kathy and Fred stayed in touch with us. Thanks!!
