A perfect place for a couple to get away. Has a great spa and a lovely fireplace for those cold winter nights. Within walking distance of many great attractions in Auburn. Just a fantastic place to stay while visiting the Clare valley.
Old worldy charm on 2 floors. Nice bed and lounge and lovely spa bath in the bathroom down the spiral staircase. Kitchen well equipped and you could sit outside in the garden
Lovely old, historic cottage that is part of many of the original dwellings in Auburn. Modern inside with a comfy bed, spa bath, functional full kitchen and a great little combustion wood fire place. Perfect for a cooler month stay. A couple of cellar doors only a short walk for tasting. Many, many other wineries in the Clare Valley are fantastic. Enjoyable experience
Beautiful cottage in a central location. Amazing gardens which are linked to great little coffee shop and cellar door next door. Close to the Clare Valley wineries. We loved it!
Nice little cottage close enough to Adelaide to be accessible for a weekend and far enough away that your babysitters can't ask you to come back if the kids are playing up. Very nice place, well appointed and maintained.
We loved staying at the wild olive cottage. We went to celebrate my 40th birthday. The owners left a lovely card and birthday treats. Yummy breakfast and a lovely bottle of wine.. we kept warm by the fire. And will definitely return and recommend to friends. Can’t thank the wild olive cottage crew enough. X
Loved Wild Olive. Easy walk to the pub for dinner. Property had everything we could possibly need. Spa was lovely and partner had fun making fire in the combustion heater. Met the owner and he also was lovely.
We'll definitely be back for another stay!
Wild Olive cottage is a beautiful period cottage with lovely gardens. It is very comfortably furnished and had all the amenities we could have possibly required. Communication and check-in went smoothly and was easy. Auburn is a very cute historic town and perfect as a base for exploring the Clare Valley. All in all a top-rate experience at Wild Olive Cottage.
A cute, well appointed cottage in Auburn, gateway to the Clare Valley. We enjoyed our time at Wild Olive cottage, especially the history, timber floors, fire place and beautiful garden setting. Attention to detail with regard to the 'little things' like the well stocked fridge, spa bathroom and french linen sheets. I will be recommending this property to family and friends.
Loved this quiet cottage which was just off Auburn Main Street, walking distance from restaurants/cafes, IGA and other local businesses. Generous complimentary provisions and discount vouchers to local businesses. Lovely outdoor area and the surrounding gardens were very pretty and well kept. Only downsides were that the Wifi wouldn't connect and the DVD wasn't working, but I'm sure the owner can easily fix this before next time. I would stay here again.
Quaint, historic, peaceful. Auburn is a pretty little town in an ever exposing secret of the Claire Valley. Step back in time and enjoy the beautiful gardens and lovely surrounds of this cute little cottage. Hosts provide you with all you might need and will happily extend if required. A lovely touch to have a few nice beers, a local wine of your choice, and some water/ soft drinks provided also. Highly recommend Terroir, and a must to have a coffee or a toastie at Velvet and Willow. Cycle that trail too !!
Thanks so much guys, very memorable and we will definitely be back.

Not up to scratch
The cottage itself is externally charming in a lovely garden setting. That’s the good bit. The downstairs kitchen/eating area is tired to say the least, and has no atmosphere. The upstairs bedroom/ living area had tired bed linen and ill-assorted furniture . No breakfast was provided, and we were given a voucher for a free coffee at the associated cafe. We had no contact with any living person. At this price, you should expect much more.
