We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy this beachfront condo more, and you felt it was in less than ideal condition, Jerry. While this place is directly on the beach, and therefore subject to the sand, salt, humidity, and strong sea breezes, we do respect and understand a constant level of maintenance needs to performed and items need to be replaced. We have passed along your specific feedback to the home's owner who ultimately decides what work and improvements can and will be done. Thank you.

All of our homes are on regular and professional pest control, but those roaches (while uninvited for sure) are crafty buggers. Sorry for any inconvenience as a result of our coastal environment they so love. We hope to host you again!

As a budget-friendly beachfront property, we strive to provide a comfortable stay in an unbeatable location right on the sand. We appreciate your comments and are happy to share that the futon has since been replaced with a brand-new sofa and recliner for added comfort. We're also glad our Crew was able to respond promptly when concerns were brought to our attention. For future guests, vehicles are permitted on many Texas beaches, including this area, which is a local beach feature rather than something unique to the property. There are other spots on the beach in which vehicles are not allowed, and we are happy to assist guests looking for that. We appreciate your stay and wish you all the best in your future travels.

Thank you Heather, it is quite the amazing beachside spot and appreciate you noting! We agree a futon couch is never as comfortable as a bed, and while available, we don't recommend it either for that purpose. We will certainly pass along your suggestion to this condo's owner. As far as kitchen supplies, we're not sure what exactly you were looking for and the kitchen is fairly small, but we've found most cooking needs are subjective. Certainly, if there were specifics, we'd be happy to pass them along to the owner as well. Thanks again for staying!

And yes, while not a brand new condo building, the rates to be direct ocean and beachside correlate. Not much we can do about the village of Surfside's water utilities, but we've been told they are actively working on addressing it. However, it is an island on island time. :)
