River's Edge is truly magnificent. It sits right on the water’s edge by a beach and feels like floating over the Lake - totally romantic and breath taking. The views are literally million dollar views – River’s Edge is unique in Niagara-on-the-Lake in having complete 180 degree views from the Niagara river and Fort Niagara to the U.S. on the right to Lake Ontario and even Toronto in the far distance. And with a beach at our side gate.
From the front door to every point of this luxury cottage you have a view of the water. You can be in the kitchen making a snack or dinner and you have a view of the lake and river. The main floor of this cottage is all open plan. If you are sitting in front of the gas/coal fireplace or watching television you have a stunning view of the Lake and Niagara River!

Going upstairs the view from the floor to ceiling windows on the stairwell is … simply amazing! The bedroom is spectacular. You can lie in bed and still have this incredible view of the Niagara River and the Old Fort Niagara state-side, and look out to the Lake on the other. There is a larger corner tub from where you can watch the boats and ducks go by! In River’s Edge you are in a totally different world….. while at the same time we provide free Wi-Fi so that you can stay in touch.

If you invite another couple or bring the kids along, there is the very comfortable Murphy bed in the second bedroom room that faces the very quiet street. This room also has a washer and dryer in it.
Downstairs, the sliding back doors open on to the amazing patio. The top patio is nice and it has patio furniture and BBQ/grill. The lower patio has a small relaxing pool for dipping and relaxing on summer days. Here you can sit and enjoy a glass of local wine and watch the birds and ships drift past…..

River's Edge has 2 bathrooms. There is .5 bathroom on ground floor and a full bathroom with a very large shower upstairs in addition to the large en-suite tub in the main bedroom.
Fully stocked with bed-linen and towels and a well-equipped kitchen for making anything from a snack to an amazing dinner.
This is River's Edge - all you need to bring is food, clothes and yourselves- for an amazing and unforgettable romantic holiday vacation !!!!!!

Great location right on the lake! Early morning fishing and kayaking. One bedroom is much bigger than the other, but both were fine for sleeping. Close walk or bike ride to the cute town and shopping area. Local grocery store on King Street had all that we needed. Communication with management and owner was easy and accessible. Beautiful place we have gone back to two years in a row. We hope to make this a yearly tradition!

It is an extremely relaxing location. Watch wildlife, see the stars. Perfect for just hanging out and doing what you like to relax. Put together a puzzle, read a book, have a cup of coffee on the patio and take in the river and lake.

Anniversary Getaway

This is a beautiful, cozy cottage right on the lake with great views. Very quiet and within walking distance to town which is great considersiding parking. Very well supplied. Enjoyed our stay very much!

The house is a good location and has a great view. Close to the parks and town. We were able to walk to almost all of our destinations within Niagara on the lake. We did enjoy the patio that overlooks the lake-seeing all the activities on the lake. Another main reason we booked this house was for the pool (soaking pool) However on inspection of the pool on arrival it was full of dirt and debris-which included a dead mouse and a piece of a diaper and no chemicals. We reached out to the agent and asked for the pool to be serviced so we could use it. The response we received was “isn’t it freezing”. We were informed that they were going to contact the pool company to have it serviced-however we never received a response till a follow up by us was made. On the follow up we were informed they were going to try and squeeze us in on the second day but were unable and the 3rd day it rained so no one came. The last day of our stay (4th) the pool was serviced sometime in early evening thus we were unable to use the pool for our 4 day stay. We also inquired about the pool pump not running and we were told it was on a timer however sitting on the desk for multiple hours we never hear the pump run. The bedroom picture are inaccurate. They show the same room twice. The second room is super small and is a Murphy bed you have to place on a couch to fully open. You are unable to move around the room. Barely any room for storing your stuff.

I'm delighted that you like the location and great view and found it close to town and the and parks. I do want to respond to your review because it is so unusual. Almost all our reviews over many years are 5*! I think, as you say, that you were very unlucky with weather - in fact there was a small tornado that caused significant damage in Niagara-on-the-Lake. So perhaps it's not surprising that things were washed from the lake into the pool. I know that our very heavy outdoor furniture was actually blown over. I'm very glad that the pool company came on the second day, given the circumstances. But what you say about chemicals is simply wrong. There is a large pool box right on the edge of the pool. You just have to lift the lid from the clasp and all the pool chemicals are there! Our guests don't usually have to do this as the pool company looks after it, but still, the chemicals are there in the box. You are also not correct about the pump. It runs at night on a timer when you are sleeping so as not to disturb you during the day. So that's why you didn't hear it. I'm sorry that you suffered from the unusual summer storm, but I'm afraid that's just Nature. You'll be very welcome to come back another time when I hope the sun will be shining!

This is a lovely, charming home with a trillion dollar view! As others have commented, walking distance to almost everything, the goose couple was so fun to watch, sunsets were outstanding. Beds were very comfortable. Huge shower had excellent water pressure. Fireplaces helped heat the chilly mornings and added to the ambiance. We did not use the pool as it is Fall. Highly recommend this beautiful place.

Great location

We had a very relaxing weekend. The access to the bike and running trail right next to the house was perfect. We spent a lot of time enjoying the patio with its proximity to the water and wildlife. The pool was too cold to use unfortunately. We will definitely be back and would highly recommended this property.

8 night stay and everything was beautiful. Views were stunning and the house had all needed essentials. If planning to spend time in Niagara Falls attraction area, it is 30 minutes one way, so we planned our days accordingly. Would revisit!
