A truly unique eco-stay, which includes a composting toilet, wekas and crashing ocean waves. Fully stocked kitchen, retro design, plenty of music CDs. Access to internet is decent, depending on how well your phone hotspots.

Loved staying at the Blue Bach. It is super private and feels so relaxing. We had both rain and sunshine and all weather conditions are a fabulous part of the experience. The blue Bach is in a great location to explore the West Coast, with easy driving distance from Cape Foulwind to Lake Mahinapua (Hokitika) as well as Lake Brunner. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Watched the sun set over the horizon from the living room. Comfortable beds with cotton sheets! Listened to a Blind Faith CD haven’t heard for many many years. Hot shower and a great kicker to cook in. Really enjoyable stay.

A really enjoyable and relaxing stay in a perfectly located west coast Bach. We had a lovely time exploring the surrounding beaches and tracks. The Bach is well appointed and presented with especially cosy bed linen. Thanks Nikki

Absolutely iconic Kiwi batch, very clean, comfy bed, so well appointed. The access track down to the beach is a bit tricky but more than with it...what a magic place. We loved it!

Fab West Coast bach

We loved staying at this wee West Coast gem! The beach (which is located down a track below the house) was stunning, as were the sunsets. There was everything we needed in the house for our Coast to Coast team for a few days pre-race.

In this day and age the toilet was in an outside shack with no electricity or running water. Basically a hole that you needed to put sawdust on top. No internet but suggest host could provide mobile dongle with booster The bacj although characterful was in need of some tlc
